DO NOT USE ROAD BUDDY!!
Absolute cowboys who take your money and run!!! Do yourself a favour and call a reputable company, not these idiots.
I broke down on a Sunday morning and required a new battery. I contacted Road Buddy who said I needed to pay £100 over the phone and then the remaining £200 to the installer who they would be sending out. They told me the mechanic would arrive within the hour.
3 and half hours later, a big fat Albanian man arrived in an old BMW because he said his van was being serviced (which I now know is not true). He said he had a ‘new’ battery in his boot. It was pouring down with rain and he told me to sit in his car whilst he changed the battery to save me from getting soaked.
He changed the battery and got the car running but had to plug in his diagnostic ipad to confirm the faults. Because of the diagnostic analysis (which lasted all
of 5 minutes) he told me instead of paying the £200 as agreed, it was going to cost me £420!!
I agreed to pay this as he said he would return on the following morning with his larger diagnostic iPad and check everything he had done was in order.
As I left, I couldn’t have driven more than 500 metres when the car lost all power and came to a complete stand still again. I called him immediately and asked was it a brand new battery that he had installed and why had it stopped again. He couldn’t answer this and said he would return first thing the next morning to get everything sorted.
I have never seen him since and cannot contact him!! I have contact Road Buddy numerous times demanding a refund and they too have fobbed me off saying that they will get a manager to call me….. but weeks later, I’m still waiting!!!
I am £700 out of pocket…., £520 paid to Road Buddy for absolutely nothing and £180 to a recovery company to get my vehicle towed to my home.
AVOID ROAD BUDDY AT ALL COSTS!! They are a disgrace of a company who take a lot of hard earned money from you and then couldn’t give a damn. Their customer service is the pits!!
Absolutely horrible service I requested a tow they installed a spare tire on the front of the car that would’ve damaged the car even more. Asked me for more money to tow and then almost physically assaulted me because I wasn’t accepting their extortion. They then agreed to tow my car and then drop it at an undisclosed location because they didn’t get paid extra. So now I’m here trying to pin down my car in the city all of this happened while I’m at work.
Everyone involved from the first call were helpful and efficient.
I was kept up to date throughout on time frames and ETAs.
Would recommend
Jerry was really helpful, fast and reliable, would 100% recommend. Easily one of the best in the game even price wise
Laiba was so helpful and efficient, she explained everything and kept in contact until roadside assistance came. The mechanic was also super quick and nice!
Extortinists..
They charged me 550 and asked me to pay 200 deposit but as soon i pay the deposit they sent me this message:
“Please do not make any payment at this time. Unfortunately, we are unable to carry out the job today for less than £689. However, if you’re happy with £600, we can schedule this for tomorrow.”
They say they are happy to refund. It takes 10 days to process.
Not good
I had a blowout late at night on the M40 and Road Buddy came to my rescue. They were no nonsense, quick to act, and had everything under control in no time. The whole experience was handled with real professionalism, and they were also friendly and reassuring at what could have been a stressful situation.
I was back on the road far quicker than I expected. Excellent service when it really mattered. Highly recommended.
Went to use this company but cancelled as realised I’d got breakdown with my insurance. They then proceeded to ring me relentlessly even though I told them and msgd them to tell them I have very little battery. They rang 19 times draining my battery while I was waiting the AA. THEY DONT GIVE UP
Awful not recommend them to anyone put the wrong tyre on my car and then refused to do anything about it it one star is one too many.

I had a puncture and I didn't want to call my breakdown service because last time I used them they took 4hrs to get to me.
I called Road Buddy after two others, they were a fair, good price £200.
The fitter came in 30 minutes and very quickly replaced my tyre, He was very polite and friendly.. Good service and was on my way home 1hour after my puncture.. Definitely would use again.

It started well, then turned into a disaster. Used them to replace an auxiliary battery, went well but it turned out I needed a new starter motor. That was put in the next day by road buddy as I was happy with the service so far. That didn't fix the car, still wouldn't start and thats when the problems with this company started. Its a long story but the facts you need to know is that they agreed to turn up on multiple days, never did. Communication from them was only after I kept chasing for updates.
End results, 7 days later car still not working, they refuse to pay for the parts they broke when fitting the starter motor.
Tyre repair was a fair price.
They turned up in a reasonable time.
Fitter was polite and careful about my car.

NEVER, I repeat NEVER call this company when you need a tow service. They lied to me that a driver show up in 15minutes, and it took 1 hour 50 minutes for a driver to showing up. I had no choice to wait because, I was made to deposit online to book the tow truck
Sunday afternoon problem. My car was stuck in mud and road buddy had people out for me in 30 minutes. They had the car out of the mud in no time.
Irsam was excellent throughout the whole process. Great work guys.

I contacted Road buddy for a quote for a replacement tyre and emergency call out. I was initially quoted £395 via WhatsApp message from ‘ready buddy’. After speaking to my husband, he asked me to get more quotes. I explained this clearly to the man on the phone.
Instead of accepting that, he repeatedly asked what we wanted to pay and began lowering the price, first to £319 and then to £250, which made the original quote feel questionable. This was supposedly for a mid range tyre, while my husband had specifically asked me to get a Michelin. The man listed multiple brands but was not listening to what I was actually asking for.
I politely said no thank you several times and tried to end the call, but he would not take no for an answer. Eventually, he became angry and said he was not sending anyone out because I was “bloody wasting his time.”
If he had listened from the start and respected my decision, the call would have been much shorter. The aggressive tone and refusal to accept a polite no were completely unprofessional. Very disappointing experience from an angry little man
I’m very pleased, with other companies would able to work 24/7, but with this one they able to reply on time and give good price to change the one or life tyres

Please do not use this service!!!! We requested and paid extra to be recovered with a van 3x passengers with a child and paid extra for this. A recovery truck turned up with two seats telling my son to hide in the back of the van (on the truck) and not to use his phone to avoid the police seeing him and demanded more money. The customer service is appalling when complaining to get our deposit back and they avoid calling you back. It’s honestly a terrible service all round! The company blame subcontractors and say it’s not their fault despite the job being requested through them.
