I transferred my brokerage account to this insolvent excuse of a company after being lured in by a so-called promotion offering a 1% bonus on transferred assets. Yes, they gave me the bonus—but the moment I tried to actually use the platform, the nightmare began.

I discovered I couldn’t even trade municipal bonds on their site. And as soon as I attempted to move my money out, they took back the entire bonus and even more on top of it. When I initiated an ACH transfer to withdraw my own cash—something every legitimate bank does for free—Robinhood had the audacity to charge me $100.

In total, the few transactions I made on Robinhood ended up costing me $1,036 for absolutely nothing of value. When I asked why they reversed the bonus, they claimed I was required to keep my account open for five years—a detail conveniently buried or never stated clearly upfront.

It has now been months of trying to retrieve my own money, and I still have no success. This company operates like a trap: they steal from regular people and serve the wealthy.

Avoid this brokerage at all costs. They are deceptive, predatory, and in my opinion, fraudulent.

I have been using the Legend platform for futures trading and they cost me a winning trade because their platform kept glitching and wouldn't allow me to manage my trade. This wasn't the first time this has happened. It froze on me again this morning too. I contacted customer service and all he would say was they were aware of the issue and had no further information. I will never trade on this platform again.

❌ Negative Review on Robinhood (Crypto)

I had a very unpleasant experience with the Robinhood cryptocurrency exchange. During the deposit, the following happened:

After sending the Solana cryptocurrency, I waited more than 8 hours for Robinhood to confirm the transaction. In the meantime, however, the payment QR code for the deposit had expired, so it was no longer valid. So I contacted the payment processor support where my QR code had expired, and they could only send me the money back to the address from which it originally came - I agreed to this, and they sent me the SOL back.

The problem is that Robinhood received these funds to their Solana address, but they did not arrive in my account. So they have the money, it is received in the blockchain, but they are not able or willing to credit it to my account.

I am currently in a situation where Robinhood is holding my money and cannot credit it or return it.

Support is not helpful at all - they just repeat learned phrases without a solution.
According to the blockchain, the transaction went through, but for me, these funds have practically disappeared.

Great distrust and huge disappointment.
For me, I definitely do not recommend Robinhood for crypto asset withdrawals if you need them urgently.

Customer service is horrible, I have trouble logging in to my account, they claim they send text code to phone, but I never receive, I still can not get in to my account!

Horrible customer service. Be aware that they can just restrict your account and hold your $ hostage for weeks and not even tell you why.

Very slow to transfer money into account. In this day of ACH transfers that happen overnight, robinhood takes a week to credit money into your account from a trusted source.

They inactivated my account, asked for my bank statements to reactivate it, sold my stock for less than they could've made, and closed my account. No warning, no communication. Just an email saying it was done. I have lost hundreds of dollars over something that could've been resolved over a phone conversation and them actually handling my concerns of their lack of addressing my account being inactived. DO NOT DO IT!!! And now I have no way of even knowing if or when I'll receive my money. I don't even know how much I should've had because there was no warning that it was closing.

I had crypto with them and was attempting to sell some to reinvest but instead of selling my requested amount it sold all without my knowledge and this had happened on multiple occasions. Contacted customer support and their response boiled down to too bad rough luck we can’t do anything about it. Definitely not trusting them with any further transactions.

Customer service is a nightmare. They basically stole 600 bucks from me, by not letting me log into my account. They just kept trying to send a verification code to my old phone number. When I called, the number does nothing. I emailed them to update my phone number, and they sent a link to freeze my account. Given the lousy service I've received, I refuse to trust them any further. All I wanted to do is update my account info, and even when I requested a live operator, I just got the runaround... This company is horribly unorganized and far too dependent on what is obviously faulty tech.

They are a scam .. i deposit more money than what apper and all they said is because the split or stock but it doesn't show that now I lost 700 dollars and they close the case.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience. My account was placed under review shortly after purchasing Bitcoin, with no clear explanation provided. For over a month, I have been going back and forth with support, yet my funds remain frozen and unavailable for withdrawal.

Because of this, I fell behind on important financial obligations, including rent and credit card payments. After all this time, I was informed that my account will be closed — again with no explanation — and my money is still being held with no timeline for release.

This situation has caused serious financial hardship. After researching online, I found many other users reporting the same issue, including cases where people have taken legal action and won. It is unacceptable that a platform operating in the financial sector treats customers this way and provides no transparency.

No one should have to fight for access to their own money. I strongly advise others to be cautious when using this platform.

They totally destroyed my investment by selling my most valuable stock because, I had just 18k of their marginal investment for 2 weeks only . I got margin call and all I asked them fir just 2 days extension to return since it took my bank a couple of days to loan me but they forcefully sold my other stock for pennies gave me a loss 50k while just getting their 18k only . I mean seriously? Seriously Robinhood, that was a forcefully robbery. Please professionals don't use their margin investment for heaven sake . I wish someone sue them , I will support that person .

Their "legend" web app cripples at critical times and lags. Randomly displays "data not found" while monitoring trade. How is this acceptable? And it's obvious this is not lost on them or anyone else how devastating it can be; they are screwing the small guys

This has to be controlled. And like Wall Street. Only the rich are getting. Richer. The way that the market goes up at extremely irrational times. Makes no sense. At all , this shit is so corrupt. Ask Nancy Pelosi. (Joke). However. Crypto falls for 4 weeks solid. But goes up late into the night on a Saturday morning. Absolute BS. IT WAS TIME GOR SOME BIG GUYS TO MAKE SOME EASY MONEY.

The worst communication with customer service.
I ended up getting Fraudulent transactions happen … they literally blamed me … I had to threaten calling States Attorneys Office in order to get some of my money back they kept 25% they claim fees and covering their costs what a horrible experience!!! Don’t use this investment route!

If I could give them a zero stars, I would. These people are total crooks and thieves. I had 60,000 in my account. I tried to withdraw a few thousand dollars in bitcoin and send it to my personal wallet. That was the first withdrawal that I had ever made, and I had been with them for several months. They immediately locked my account and they have denied the access to my money. It has been almost a month and I am talking to attorneys and trying to get criminal investigators to do something. They don’t have any crypto. If you buy crypto there, you will never be able to withdraw it. It’s just a trading scam and there is nothing real backing it. Don’t understand how these people are still in business or not in prison already.

The reviews speak for themselves! Very unsecured platform. All my money was stolen from my account. It is very hard to get ahold of anyone but I did the very next day and they told me that they could not get my money back! I would not recommend this app to anyone and have been warning people that their money is not safe in Robinhood! I will continue trying to get my money back from this company!

Dont open up an account with ROBINHOOD!! They dont let you tranfer to any account. Especially ITRUSTCAPITAL. They make up excuses as they go along. First tehy told me the ITRUSTCAPITAL wasnt attached to my Robinhood account!! Then I said... What difference does that make!! And then he put me on hold....and when he came back he said id have to sell everything to make the transfer!! That didnt make sense because its TAXABLE. So i asked him to put a manager on. And he put me on hold again. When he came back he said that one of the managers would contact me thru email. Ehhh.... nothing came. I could go on and on about why you should NEVER open up an account...but you get the message. This ROBINHOOD account is for the birds. IT SUCKS !!!
