Rollz Motion

Rollz has been supportive of me since I first got my Rollz Motion! This is a great company that actually cares about their consumers, it shows in all the products, from different styles of rollators, to accessories to use with your rollator! That is not the gold standard in the disabled world, but Rollz sets that standard. Not only are the rollators functional, they are stylish! It has been hard for me to accept using mobility aids, but having my Rollz Motion has made this journey easier.

Great company

I bought a Rollz Motion Performance about two years ago. Overall I think this is a great company with well-designed products. The main thing to be aware of with the Rollz Motion Performance is that in rollator mode, it's fairly heavy and takes good upper body strength to push up hill. I haven't been able to use it in as many settings as I'd like because of that, but it's great someplace big and flat (e.g. a museum, stadium, some types of parks, etc.) since it does allow me to walk as far as I can but then convert into transport wheelchair mode and get pushed. I do like the modular design that also allows for an electric conversion kit, making this a 3-in-1.
I use a byAcre carbon ultralight as my go-to everyday rollator, and I love that. When I go from the byAcre to the Rollz, the Rollz feels like a behemoth. But it does have functionality the byAcre doesn't because of the multiple modes. I just think it helps to know the pros and cons so you can pick which is right for you.

Refund not given

On 3rd October I spent £41.95 with you to enable me to carry my stick on my Rollator. I ordered the wrong item, so immediately called you to change my order to the correct one (which is £5 less) and you said you would refund my £5. It was not done, so I called a man who said he would refund the money. My account still has not been credited with my money. Not happy.

Rolls Motion is ace, but replacement wheels are far too expensive

UPDATE: I am pleased to see Rollz replied to my review and the issue I raised. As a result I have adjusted my 1 star rating to 5 stars. Pity they did not offer to accept the unwanted hubs and brakes supplied with the wheels back, and offer a refund for these parts. The Motion is a great product, so don't be put off by my comments, which are only about the marketing of their spare parts (which they are addressing), a separate issue to the quality of the 'Rollz Motion' design and it's function.

I researched long and hard to find the Rollz motion which has been a fantastic device and helped my Mum enormously. I have recommended it to many and other people I know have bought them. The products and company are great but here is my gripe. The standard wheels are solid rubber but Rollz now offer a set of pneumatic wheels ( + foam filled for the front castors) which we felt would be more comfortable for Mum when taking her on tracks and less even ground on days out. The standard solid rubber tyres are great for tarmac or similar but not if you want to go on slightly less made up paths in parks and country house and garden paths etc. I ordered a set of new pneumatic wheels from the spares section of the Rollz website, which I thought were very very expensive at £235 delivered to the UK despite including a small handpump. When the box arrived, I found the rear wheels were supplied not only with the wheels and tyres but also the whole brake hub assemblies and shoes for both back wheels which are not required. I simply took the wheels and changed them over in the same way you would change a car wheel. For me the wheels were far too expensive no doubt because of the included brake hub parts. There is no need for this I just wanted four wheels and tyres which I what I felt I was buying from the website. I can confirm the new wheels are more comfortable for Mum on rougher ground, but suggest new owners experiment with tyre pressures. I hope this is helpful. In summary - Rollz Motion = Five stars, substitute wheels+tyres = five stars, selling a set of wheels with brakes attached at £235 is too expensive = 1 star.

Unreliable delivery

Very expensive to replace footplates, advised delivery would be Friday with only 1 hours notice - provided 3 neighbours to try as safe place, advised unable to deliver and would be done next day Saturday, then on Saturday this was changed to Monday!
On Monday again only about 1 hour notice to delivery time and then left advised parcel had been delivered to my ‘ safe place ‘ which was behind a plant pot in my front garden on the A6 and not my advised safe place !
Very poor delivery and lucky parcel still present on arrival home !!

Not accessible delivery or no respect.

Although the wheelchair is good for the moment, service was terrible, no communication when my only request was to be told about delivery date as a disabled person I need assistance and planing to receive bulky heavy things. They never awnser any mail and just left it with no regards bloking my bulding entrance door and I had no way to sort this. They sent then an email when I complaint but never helped to sort the problem created.

Brakes

I tried to adjust the brakes to hold when my wife put them on, but the application of the brakes became more difficult the more I adjusted them.
The electric rollator was returned to the supplier to adjust the brakes properly, but all they did was loosen the brakes, making it easier to apply the brakes using the brake levers.
The problem was that the rollator rolled back with my wife sitting on it as the brakes would not hold
To round this off, the only safe way to use this rollator is with the power on as the rollator locks wheels when stopped after about 5 seconds.
If you adjust the brakes to hold while someone sits in a rollator, it means it is very difficult to apply the brakes using the levers on the handles.
A disabled person could not do this making the rollator unsafe unless you put power on

Taking the walker/wheelchair on holiday abroad

I have used both the walker and wheelchair when on holiday and I wanted to see as much as possible. We also packed it on to the airplane with no difficulty. I found it very easy to roll along on platforms corridors etc.
However my one concern was the pump for the tyres which had no markings to show how much air was in them. So I purchased another pump with measurements/

Easy to use and well designed!

The handlebar is easy to catch and easy to push. The turning circle is very small and I use this only inside. Most of the other rollators aimed for inside use are too light or have too small wheels. Thank you for the design, it is also important in rollators and for rollator users.

I really love my Rollz Flex rollator

I really love my Rollz Flex rollator. It's so nice doing groceries shopping, everything fits in the bag! I am 35 years old and I had a lot of doubts if it would benefit me and if it would end up in the garage. I bought it last month and I have used it every day since!

Very well engineered

Very well engineered. I have found this product versatile, my wife has successfully used it as a walker, and wheelchair. As a walker it is stable and solid, my wife's PT was impressed. As a caregiver, I have found it easy to convert from walker to wheelchair, and easy to store.
