If you are an upcoming artist

If you are an upcoming artist, I advise you to use Route Note because I was just seeing my colleagues' songs available on all digital platforms but mine are only on YouTube 😭😭.This was disappointing but now I'm happy I'm available on all digital platforms 😂. Here I'm just waiting for YouTube to change my channel to official for the artist and get a tick.

Hi! RouteNote is not reliable AT ALL. I have been waiting for nearly 60 days regarding my submissions and, this morning, I received an email stating that my music had not been accepted. No valid explanation or meaningful feedback was provided for this decision. I find this level of service extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Do not waste your time my friends! RouteNO

I'm a beginner artist trying to upload…

I'm a beginner artist trying to upload my first song. I wanted to upload a song that was only 5 minutes long. The upload reached 99%, and I sat there for about an hour and a half watching the screen, but nothing happened. I tried again (around 10 times). I exported the file, and the file size became smaller. Then the system told me the bitrate was too low. I exported the file again at 320 kbps and tried to upload it once more. Now I'm still waiting, and it has reached 99% again without finishing. This process has taken me two afternoons for a single song upload. The lack of clear error messages made it extremely frustrating. Thank you, RouteNote. Your website is just a piece of shit.

Audio must be formatted in stereo as a FLAC or MP3 file. This must be at 320kbps/16 bit and the sample rate should be 44.1kHz. For more information on our audio formatting requirements, please refer to this article from our Support Hub:

If your audio file is not uploading during the release creation process despite being the correct format, there are a few steps you can try that may fix the issue.

Before you follow these suggestions, have you tried clearing your cache and browsing history? Please also re-accept the site cookies and try using an incognito/private window.

1. Metadata Removal
You will need to remove all metadata, including artwork, that is attached to your audio.

You can do this easily on a PC - here's a link that will walk you through this:

If you are using a Mac, an app is available on the app store called 'Tag Stripper' that will perform the same function.

2. File name conflicts
While we work to enable special symbols in our system, sometimes conflicts can arise. If your file name is particularly long or has special characters, please try renaming the file to something simpler before uploading.

3. Track bit rate
If you believe your track's bitrate is lower than required (320 Kbps), then you will need to change the bit rate of your track to meet the specified bitrate.

You can do this via the desktop version of iTunes (https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204310).

If you're still having difficulty with this, please attach one of your files via email (support@routenote.com) along with the UPC you're using and we'll try to identify the issue for you.

I had a doubt with taxes

I had a doubt with taxes, and customer service take a long time to respond me, and the response isn't all clear, because I'll need a kind of invoice to pay taxes in my country.

I have my first single with RouteNote in revision proccess, and I hope they accomplish the one month revision period and publish my work. In this case, I think that I'll continue with RouteNote with a payment plan.

Joke of an experience

I used RouteNote over 10 years ago to upload 3 EP/albums to Spotify among other platforms. Recently, I discovered that my music disappeared from the platform. I opened a support ticket and they are incapable of answering WHY they have taken down my music, and it's ONLY music written, recorded and produced by myself, so there is NO way that there are any copyright issues or anything like that. They've simply written that their decision is final, they can't say why, and apparently I can't upload any new releases to my account...

Thank you for your service. However, I would like to share my honest experience as an independent artist.

The biggest issue with RouteNote is the very long approval time for music releases. It often takes much longer than expected for songs to be reviewed and approved, which can delay release plans and affect promotion schedules.

Another concern is the customer support response time. When artists contact support, it can take a long time to receive a reply, and this makes it difficult to solve urgent issues quickly.

RouteNote is a good platform with many useful features, but faster release approvals and quicker customer support would make a huge difference for artists.

Thank you for taking this feedback into consideration. I hope these areas can be improved in the future.

Emails were not seen and no response from routenote team

Dear Routenote Team,

My all emails sent by registered email was unseen or ignored by your customer care team . This is not good because my releases were under moderation from last 6 months but as your policy Your team can take as long as 1 Month to review and release a song .

But my releases still under moderation on my Dashboard and I get no response from last from routenote team
