I would have left zero stars if that was an option. first, the tech called me four hours before my scheduled time and because I was asleep and didn't answer he decided that he wasn't coming and when I spoke with him he seemed not to care....then I spoke with someone in the local office and she had an "oh well" attitude..
then I went online and found a corporate number (which is not provided on the website)...the first lady I spoke with put me on hold while I was mid sentence without even telling me....after several minutes another lady got on the line and a proceeded to tell her what was going on and tell her i wanted a refund. but, she expected me to say something nice about the company and because I had nothing nice to say about the company she said she was transferring the call. I ended up canceling it myself and a refund was issued online. two things i was assured couldn't be done online. there was one bright spot, after this was was done corporate called me. the lady who called was apologetic, courteous, patient and respectful. I actually was very pleased with her and I hope she sees this so she knows. with the exception of her, this was the worst customer service experience in my 53 years.I recommend staying as far away from safelite as you can....
p.s. : if there is a corporate office that needs a very respectful and very professional employee, safelit has and i mean only one

Warranty is completely useless, so is customer service. My windshield repair failed after about 6 months. Customer service is unhelpful and the supposed "lifetime warranty" does not actually cover anything. They won't repair the same place twice so if their repair "fails" then the only option is a windshield replacement. They will refund you back the repair cost, but in most people's cases this refund goes back to the insurance company. Then you're stuck paying your entire deductible to get a new windshield. So in the end they don't actual guarantee their work at all, and are actually making money off shoddy repairs so that customers are forced into replacing their entire windshields.

Can I give this zero stars?
They installed the windshield and forgot to add the sensors. Got an “oops” and then they redid it. This time, I noticed they had installed a scratched windshield. My car was trashed, scratched my door interior and chipped the paint around the windshield. Which a shit show.

We went to Safelite approximately 5 times for our 2018 Nissan Armada windshield, and they cannot get it right. The last time we thought it was correct until the molding flew off.
To get it right we are now going to a shop not associated with Safelite.
If you value your time you should go somewhere else!

Got a small chip in the windshield that safelite couldn't repair. They didn't have the equipment to replace it unless we drove at least a 2-hour drive to have it done. Now we're stuck with a damaged windshield. Very disappointing. Safe flight lies about their star rating because it is far from 4.7. The only reason I give the one star is so that I can rate them. They don't even deserve the one star

Had a broken back window in my truck. Dropped it off to be repaired. Later I received a call from the tech asking if I have had troubles with my key fob because it wasn't working. Never had a problem with. Truck ended up getting towed to a dealership. A week later and the dealership was finally able to get to my truck. Found a ripped out wire to the RF module which reads the wireless fob. Call the location and spoke to the manager who was rather rude. Eventually got them to pay for the repair. I informed the manager that I had lost money because I am a contractor and my truck is how I make money. Said he would escalate the situation to his higher ups. Didn't hear back for 5 days. Finally after calling a bunch I got through to speak to him. I was told they wouldn't charge me for the repair and that was their solution. A 730$ window repair that someone else had to pay for because they broke it. I lost over 2500$ due to safelite damaging my vehicle making it 100% inoperable. When I asked to speak to the person who made the decision he wouldn't provide me with any contact info. I asked for the name of the person who made the decision and refused to give me the info. The moment I asked if I needed to get a lawyer involved he immediately got rude and aggressive with me. Started spouting off how now I need to pay for the window repair before contacting a lawyer and they will need to collect payment. Then rambling off the info to contact their legal department as if he knew it by heart and said it multiple times a day. Then says he is ending the call while im still trying to talk to him and hangs up on me. Extraordinarily unprofessional. I get the feeling if I had not called them multiple times trying to get the issue rectified they would have just ignored me and let the matter go. Every conversation with the manager he seemed like he was trying to cover up the issue from his regional manager and constantly answered as vague as possible to any questions. It seemed like he was just gonna take the window as a loss to begin with after I said I needed compensation for the time I was without it before he had even "escalated" it to his manager. I feel like he never did reach out to anyone and is just trying to avoid getting in trouble. Toledo location

Make sure they don’t add on services and say it’s what you selected!!! They charged me 80$ for something I didn’t approve!!!
Booked a windshield replacement with comprehensive coverage, in FL that’s a 0$ deductible. I selected online NO upgrades, no filters, no windshield wipers. I was ill the day of service and my husband worked with the rep. Before completing the job the tech said “I can’t leave until this balance is paid, it’s per what you selected online.” My husband figured it was a hold pending insurance authorization- turns out either the tec or someone in customer service added on a nearly 80$ cabin air filter without my request or permission. I called asking for them to remove this charge- they refused - apparently according to the shop rep, techs and customer service are “known to add that on, and the customer has to refuse it at time of service”. I had JUST changed out the air filters 2 weeks prior to this vehicle, I have the Amazon receipts (30$ total by the way for incabin and engine filter). Unbelievable way to be dishonest and deceptive- on top of not needing that service at all.
Really bad way of doing business. If they would’ve stuck to what they originally quoted without the dishonesty it would’ve been 5 stars- but I don’t work with people who have integrity problems.

I had a windshield replacement on my RV do to a crack caused by a stone. I was sent to Safelite by Insurance Co. After 2 years I noticed the upper corner of the windshield was popping out, contacted Safelite that's when I found out there life time warranty wasn't so life time. Granted the RV is a 2000 but for over twenty years I had no issues with windshield pop out. After you contact them they give you the real warranty where they blame everything from your frame to your leveling system. But there crappie installation can't be the problem.

Unfair and deceptive acts
They made an appointment for 9:00am to 12:00pm and it was 1PM and nobody called to say if there was delay
We ended up calling and they said they would not be able to come today, only tomorrow, after talking to manager they said it might take one week

When back glass cracked and fell out on minus degree weather, my insurance sent me to Safelite in Fort Wayne IN. Big mistake. Was supposed to come do the new glass in my garage which is warm enough. Tech didn't show up. No way to actually call and get a real person.4pm someone called and said she'd left me voicemails and tried to call since 7am. No numbers on my phone, no messages. I kept my phone with me all day. The woman said I'd need to bring it to shop. Well, it's -3 degrees, can't drive to shop with no back window! Finally tech came and wrapped my window. I took it to shop next day. They came out with a nut that looked like someone cut a chunk out of one side. Scratched marks all around nut.Lady said to go get a new one and call and make another appointment. Shouldn't they have nuts there if they take off and put wiper arms on? I think the nut looks like it's been cut.its not overly rusty or thin. It was damaged. I'm probably going to end up replaces the whole wiper arm because nut is part of the kit for the wiper arm. It's an odd size. No auto parts have it. Will NEVER use Safelite again and will let others know how crappy of a service they are!

I waited a week for my appointment during this snowpocalypse. There was supposed to be a second snow on Sunday, Feb 1st, so I was a bit worried, but they contacted me literally a dozen times betwen when I scheduled the appointment and Tuesday morning where my appointment was from 8am - 12pm, and I asked about snow and all they ever said was they needed room around the car. Finally at a few minutes before 11 am, the driver called me from a personal cell phone so I almost didn't answer it, and said there's snow on my driveway and because they use sharp tools, etc, he said he wasn't sure he could do the job, but that he would call his manager. He called back five minutes later and said he was going to have his manager call me. After ten minutes, I called the driver back and he said, the manager would call me shortly but he already left for his next job. Epic Fail. I will never use Safelite again and I will use the rest of my life to spreading this story over the internet. I don't have time for this. I will make sure my insurance company knows how I feel about this as well as anyone else that will listen to me.

The associates who took the call. Was very professional and met my needs, I recieved an appointment within 3 days based on my availability.
MATTHEW was my repair technician, very professional, explained what he was doing without missing a beat. Very knowledgeable, easy to talk to as well. He should be a trainer trainer.. he represented Safelight well. A+++ Service

I had a horrible experience with Safelight. After having a windshield replacement on my brand new car, I noticed significant issues with the installation. The car became excessively loud, and it was clear that the work was subpar.
When I attempted to address the problem a representative informed me that my account was flagged with a "do not contact" order. it seemed they were more interested in avoiding responsibility than resolving my issues.
If you're considering using Safelight, I strongly advise against it. They took my money and left me with a damaged vehicle. Please think twice before trusting them with your car

I had 2 appointments with safelite scheduled back to back, and both times they called me on the morning of to tell me they were 'too busy' to provide the service. I very urgently needed this windshield replacement done quickly as I was moving to a different state, but they could not help. Very unprofessional, please do not make appointments that you don't intend to keep as this was a massive inconvenience.

A technician was scheduled to come out where my vehicle is to change/repair front windshield crack. I waited from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Taking the day off for this. ( I am a doctor, which means some compromise to my patients). Safelight never showed up. When I called after chat bot 3 x. Someone finally answered. Very unapologetically, agent tells me they are still waiting for the part. I got this answer only through my attempt to reach them. This company is unreliable. Safety Insurance works with them. I also called Safety Insurance and the agent dropped call during transfer. UNACCEPTABLE.....

I’d go with less than one star if that was an option. They gave me a 9 to 11 day window. I’m on day 13 have spoken to multiple people which have told me they’d call me back. None have !!!! Atrocious service, absolutely terrible!

They did an ok job. But I see them always wear safety glasses or goggles working with SAFETY GLASS and thin rubber gloves?? I've been in construction 40 years almost never wear gloves or goggles safety glasses. Girly men

I requested an OEM Gorilla Glass windshield, but it took three appointments to get the correct one installed.
Four days later it cracked from a rock, and Safelite could not provide proof that the windshield was ordered through Mopar, which meant I could not use the 2-year Gorilla Glass warranty.
Safelite refused to cover the replacement.
Very disappointing experience overall.

Safelite gave me a window of 5 hours in which they would arrive to fix a rock chip, and told me the tech would call with a more accurate timeline. They no call, no showed, and cost me a day sitting around waiting.
Their automated system hung up on me 3 times and the only way to get anyone on the phone is their dismal automated system.
Trash behavior considering they billed my insurance already.

I had a scheduled Safelite appointment on Saturday, January 3rd between 1:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The technician never arrived, and there was no call, no update, and no communication of any kind. The service was supposed to come from the Willow Grove, PA location.
I called Safelite around 4:30 p.m. after not hearing from the driver or technician. Customer Support told me I would receive a call by the end of the day, which never happened. Instead, they began using the standard excuse: “The glass broke.” I stopped the representative immediately and pointed out two things:
1. No one contacted me to say there was an issue.
2. Safelite used this exact same excuse with me three years ago when replacing the glass on my Jeep Wrangler.
Once again, I had to call them for an update. I received no follow-up from the District Manager or the Store Manager, despite being told they would reach out. Better companies out there.
