The product I wanted was short on stock so not available via their website but after a quick call to their team they were able to sort out what I required very quickly.

About Safe Tread

Get a grip on safety with Safe Tread
We endeavour to reduce the number of accidents caused by slips, trips and falls so that people of all ages can live safe and comfortable lives without the need for complicated solutions.
Statistics show slipping and tripping to be the single most common cause of major injury in the UK and they are often the initiators of accidents attributed to other causes, such as machinery accidents, scalding and falls from height. Slip, trip and fall injuries cost the UK on average 1 billion pounds per year, with the majority of accidents commonly caused by wet or icy floors.
Our range of durable GRP anti-slip products for decking, flooring, stairs and walkways are an industry standard solution, proven to reduce accidents and improve safety by utilising our highly effective, gritted anti-slip safety surface. We pride ourselves on being a UK manufacturer, with the ability to produce a wide range of colours and multi-blend colourways for our anti-slip GRP strips.
By manufacturing in-house, we can produce to your exact specifications, utilising a wide range of grit and colours, supplied within days, not weeks.
Visit our website to view our range of Anti-Slip Step Strips, Decking Strips, Stair Nosing, Stair Treads, Stair Landing Covers, Stair Risers, Floor Sheets, Tactile Paving Plates, GRP Grating and a wide selection of screws, tools and adhesive sealants for installation.

Great Product.
I ordered my treads over the Christmas period when the firm was closed. However I got an email the first day they were back confirming my order and subsequently keeping me up to date with despatch and carrier details. Treads arrived when they said they would.
I now find that I need to order some more and will do so without hesitation.

“I feel really secure in the steps now”
Bought to go on wooden sleeper steps that have become increasingly slippery in damp weather.
Quick turnaround, well packaged delivery, reasonable price for good quality, substantial metal strips. Pre-drilled and supplied with screws makes fitting easy even for an amateur!
Lunchtime today my wife came in from the garden and said she was “delighted with the strips… she feels really secure on the steps now”. Good enough for me!
Definitely recommend supplier and product.

Easy to order
Easy to order, good product does the job. Delivery cost seems a tad high but I guess that’s reflected in the lower u it cost. Happy customer ordered twice now.

Needed for sleepers
Good product. Can work out expensive if you need several. The picture shows pre drilled holes with internal metal grommets but was not the case.

It’s the second one I’ve bought, the product is absolutely excellent. It really stands out , and that’s exactly what is required, so that you can easily identify the step. It was also a very quick delivery time.
