About Safe Tread

Get a grip on safety with Safe Tread
We endeavour to reduce the number of accidents caused by slips, trips and falls so that people of all ages can live safe and comfortable lives without the need for complicated solutions.
Statistics show slipping and tripping to be the single most common cause of major injury in the UK and they are often the initiators of accidents attributed to other causes, such as machinery accidents, scalding and falls from height. Slip, trip and fall injuries cost the UK on average 1 billion pounds per year, with the majority of accidents commonly caused by wet or icy floors.
Our range of durable GRP anti-slip products for decking, flooring, stairs and walkways are an industry standard solution, proven to reduce accidents and improve safety by utilising our highly effective, gritted anti-slip safety surface. We pride ourselves on being a UK manufacturer, with the ability to produce a wide range of colours and multi-blend colourways for our anti-slip GRP strips.
By manufacturing in-house, we can produce to your exact specifications, utilising a wide range of grit and colours, supplied within days, not weeks.
Visit our website to view our range of Anti-Slip Step Strips, Decking Strips, Stair Nosing, Stair Treads, Stair Landing Covers, Stair Risers, Floor Sheets, Tactile Paving Plates, GRP Grating and a wide selection of screws, tools and adhesive sealants for installation.

Happy with my step grippers and ordering experience
All fantastic - step gripper product is top quality - great guarantee and price. Comms and delivery were good also. I appreciated that the exactly correct size hex screwdriver bit was included with the Phillips head screws, so that there would be less chance of slippage.

Excellent customer service and excellent product.
I have used Safe Tread before and was very pleased with the safety decking strips for our front steps. I ordered some more for another project. Unfortunately the wrong colour was accidentally sent (Black Dune rather than Dune). I rang Customer Services and the correct colour was despatched the same day by overnight courier. Excellent customer service for an excellent product.

Great product. Easy to order
Easy to order. Good delivery, arrived as advised. Product was well packaged and as per description. Came with fixings. Easy to install. Works great. Looks great. So I would recommend for slippery steps - in our case wooden sleepers which were treacherous when damp.

Ordered 2 strips to be cut to length…
Ordered 2 strips to be cut to length and pre-drilled with SS screws. Order came promptly but, sadly, not cut or pre-drilled - screws were provided though.
Emailed to thank for promptly supplying and make aware not cut/pre-drilled.
Very soon after email sent they phoned me to confirm the order was not as requested. After providing a couple of photos, to confirm issue, the posted out replacements cut to size and pre-drilled. Also told me to keep the 1st 2 I'd received... which I felt was very much appreciated.
Received replacement next day cut to requested length. May sound slightly whingeing but no screws provided in replacement order. Kind of makes the 2 lengths 1st received, not cut/pre-drilled, unusable should I find somewhere I could have used them.
Still get 5 stars as I appreciated the prompt replacement service but probably would have been 4.75 stars if able to because of no additional screws.
