Great service that is affordable

This is my 3rd time dealing with Sakura Mobile. My experience has been very positive. This time my stay at a Haneda hotel would be for less than 12 hours and they assured me the pocket WiFi would be waiting for pickup on my arrival. I ordered a second pocket WiFi for our Tokyo portion of trip also to be delivered to a hotel. The hotel address was changed by my Apple device and Sakura Mobile fixed it promptly. Their customer service is excellent. However what counts is the network access. In many of my trips to Hokkaido I have driven to remote areas and never encountered access failure. Wish this was true in USA!

Fast, easy set-up for someone just arriving in Japan, once you have your residence card you can get your number super quickly thanks to Sakura Mobile. Staff at Shinjuku Office was extremely helpful.

It was easy to order the pocket wifi online before arriving in Japan. Pick up at Narita Airport Terminal 2 was easy as well. The device worked well in most areas even in the mountains and forest. It was easy to return the device with the pre-paid envelopes. Overall, an outstanding experience and I would use it again and highly recommend it to others.

The service is good for foreigners, and this is good for the first time comers in Japan, the service is great and the process of getting Fiber internet and sim card is very convenient and easy.

Great, very timely (within a day), response from customer service that erased my worries.

Collection at the airport was quick and easy but order a day or two before you set off!
Pocket wifi definitely a preferred option for non technical people and is easily shared.
The pocket wifi unit lasts a day of continuous reasonable (e.g not streaming video) use without charging or using the backup battery.
I'd say it was indispensable for navigation and translation when away from hotel and other public wifi.

I had left my SIM card at home and needed to get a new one. I went to the office and found out I can just switch it to eSIM. It took less than an hour and it works great. Thank you so much for the help!

When we first walked into the elevator we encountered one of the employees, I didn’t catch their name but he was very friendly and helpful. He brought us up and invited us to wait in the sitting area. After a short while, two employees Ezri and Brandon approached us and helped us to set up our phones. While we did wait for a bit while the eSIMs were being set up, while they were helping us, they were very helpful and informative. I would definitely recommend travelers to come to the Shinjuku branch. While I’m not sure about how well the service itself works, the employees were definitely helpful. They also spoke English so it made things a lot easier. Thank you again Ezri, Brandon, and the one person who we met in the elevator.

Very, very expensive. Looking for a way out. Travellers beware.

Yasuha and her colleagues were all very helpful with the mobile phone contract and home wifi inquiries. I fully recommend for foreigners, specially because to get mobile plan you need an address registered and this company doesn’t require it.

I lived in Japan for the past year on a Working Holiday Visa, and one of my biggest concerns was finding an eSIM with plenty of data and reliable English support.

Although my plan was on the more expensive side, the service was excellent. The customer support team always responded quickly, and I never lost signal—even when travelling in the mountains around Kyoto.

Overall, I was extremely happy with the service and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable eSIM while living or travelling in Japan.

The mobile router worked flawlessly and held a charge for a full day out and about and charged easily in couple of hours. Very easy to use log in and pop it your bag and forget about it. Admin around the hire was flawless - device waiting for me when i checked in and easy return - just hand the pre-addressed return packing to your nearest post office. Highly recommended!

The WiFi worked everywhere, down in the subway to the top of mount Fuji. Couldn't ask for more really did everything it was suppose to and no problems

The delivery was really fast and the SIM have been working very well during the while trip so I could enjoy at 100%

Insanely expensive service and the line is very bad. The 5G is never reached (eventhough my settings are correct) and the 4G does not work pretty well.

My experience is with an iPhone 14 Pro, a pretty reliable device.

I would never suggest Sakura, and I am working to get rid of it.
