We couldn't have asked for a better experience on our first visit to Ireland. The itinerary we received was well organized, easy to follow and included amazing attractions. The voucher program was very easy to use and made the trip effortless. Our accommodations were top notch as well. It was more than we could have ever anticipated!

The packages they set up are amazing! As a first time user there are some things that I was not sure about. But, I was given direct contact information for each inclusion for our package so we were able to navigate if any issue came up. Simple to book and I would use them again anytime.

Great trip
Great trip. However our reserved car was not available when we landed at Dublin airport. We had to wait 2-1/2 hours for the car. After an overnight flight, we were tired and unhappy about the situation.
Classical Greece
We thoroughly enjoyed our Classical Greece vacation. We stayed in Athens at the Hotel Electra which was in a great location. We love the restaurant. Then we travelled via motor coach to 3 other cities - each one about 4 hours away - Olympia, Delphi and Kalambaka. Great for history buffs. Many museums and ruins to see on this tour.
Our Sceptre Travel Agent, Julie was wonderful in helping us every step of the way. We would definitely book with Sceptre again.
Sceptre really came through ☘️
Sceptre really came through. We enjoyed our independent fly/drive vacation to Ireland immensely! It went off without a hitch. We were very pleased with the B and Bs we picked thru the Voucher system, each one was unique and welcoming. The rental car was comfortable and fit all our luggage.We will recommend Sceptre to all our friends ☘️

Very friendly and helpful reps. Booking B & B's was a bit laborious. Like all tours, there are some hidden costs. Very good trip though and a good experience. We would book with Sceptre again

This was my third or fourth Sceptre vacation. They have all been exactly as advertised. Nothing more nor less.
Italy Excursion
The overall trip and organizing of the trip was amazing there were some outings that we did not care for. For example, the Amalfi coast drive we took was not a trip we would reccomend. They also promised us they would send us either passport covers or travel tags and we got neither. Its a little thing, but if you promise something, you should deliver. All of the other adventures in Italy were great! We loved our hotels and our excursions. Our travel agent was able to plan the trip within a month. We were also able to make some last minute changes which were great.

Our trip to Ireland was wonderful. Carmen at Sceptre Travel helped us with our plans and with our accommodations. She was friendly and knowledgeable.
Our confirmation said Adare manor would …
Our confirmation said Adare manor would be closed the entire 2016 year. We just got back and it's still closed.
Dan Dooley did not have a van for us. We booked 7 months in advanced and no van ??? We waited over a hour then we insisted on a ride to Adare. Needless to say we had no van until later that day.
Prior to our trip we called Sceptre several times with questions and left messages and voicemails for the manager and no one ever returned our calls.
My grandson and I did B&B in Ireland
My grandson and I did B&B in Ireland. Everyone had hair dryers so I would let people know that so they can make a choice of carrying one or not. We only did carry on so the dryer was added weight not needed.
Also, all but one of our rooms were up several narrow stairs. This should also be mentioned for someone who may not be able to manage so many stairs.

I would give a 5-star rating for ease of use, price vs. value, and responsiveness. My only issue was a car rental that was booked by Sceptre for Dublin but should have been at Shannon. It was an easy fix, though. Overall I was very pleased.
Easy to work with
My wife and I loved our Sceptre vacation to Ireland. Booking through Sceptre was easy, and the couple of times we called, Sceptre provided prompt and efficient help. The rental car, the hotel, and the bed and breakfasts we booked via Sceptre were outstanding. The one hitch we encountered was with JetBlue, the US domestic partner of Aer Lingus. Our JetBlue flight out of O'Hare was delayed to the point where we were going to miss our Aer Lingus flight at JFK and lose a couple days of our vacation. JetBlue could not rebook us on another carrier; we had to get our own tickets to JFK from American. We filed a claim with JetBlue and Aer Lingus for the value of our unused JetBlue flight, which is in the process of being settled. This is all not directly Sceptre's fault, but, they could have booked us with carriers who were more likely to rebook on another carrier in the event of a delay.
Ireland Trip
1. We stayed in 5 different hotels during our Ireland trip. Three of them were excellent! The Muckross House, the Heritage Killenard, and the Kilronan Castle were all excellent. The Clayton Hotel in Galway was in need of some serious renovation. Poor bedding and noisy surroundings. The Fitzpatrick Hotel is old, damp, and musty; and the customer service was not good at all. We sat in the restaurant for almost an hour one evening and were never waited on. When we told the receptionist the next morning, she told us that rarely happened and really didn't believe us.
2. The Heritage Killenard never received our paperwork for our reservation, but everything ended well because we brought our own copies.
3. I would have been a little happier if we had received our documents a little sooner.
However, everything worked out well and there was always a representative available to help with any questions.

Great trip - Some feedback
Great trip - Most everything was perfect except getting home...Our connecting flight home was scheduled with just an hour and a half lead time of our flight home... The flight ended up being an hour late, and the gate to our flight home was closed 30 minutes prior to departure...Would recommended a longer layover/ lead time otherwise I would have given a 5 star rating.
Disappointment with Ireland itinerary
1. In retrospect, disappointment in flight schedule
from BNA to PHl. Delay in Nashville flight was responsible for our luggage not arriving
on our Philly flight to Shannon. Based on short turnaround time from from Nashville to
Philly, we nearly missed Philly to Shannon flight.
2. Philly to Shannon flight arrived on May 8th not May 7th. Due to this detail, our Ireland
schedule/itinerary was, by our account, incorrect for the entire week (we agreed to 6 nights, yet itininery stated that we would leave on 7th &arrive on 7th - not 8th). Entire
itinery had our group arrive a day early and leave a day early. This caused significant
anxiety as we arrived at Adare Manor - Manor staff, perhaps with assistance of Sceptre
worked to make our stay a wonderful experience.
3. Return flight schedule reflected departure on 18th which was correct, but due to confusion of arrival date, (7th vs 8th), the rest of the itinerary was incorrect.
NOTE: I acknowledge receipt of incorrect itinerary, but did not closely review prior to departure .

Had a blast in Ireland-Scepter tours handled most of the trip flawlessly. Would be nice to book airline seats through them at time of booking.
