Unfortunately no appropriate option for hearing or speech impaired ppl to verify SSL-certificates. Only offered options involve extra costs.

Terrible aftersale support
I purchased a 3-year EV code signing certificate from Sectigo. The validation process was extremely lengthy, and once it was complete, I requested that they ship the token to our European branch. Although they agreed, the token was somehow lost in transit.Subsequently, their support team was unhelpful in resolving the issue. Despite extensive written communication and spending money on calls to their USA office, no resolution was reached.Nearly six months passed without being able to use the token I had paid for. Frustrated, I opened a PayPal dispute. Sectigo did not respond to the dispute, and after the lengthy PayPal process, I won the case due to their lack of response.Overall, there are better alternatives available. I do not recommend wasting your time with Sectigo.

Terrible Support after the purchase
I am having a very bad experience with this company.
Purchased an eIDAS Citizen Qualified Certificate and I've been sent a file (nothing about token) via email along with a PDF tutorials file (30 + pages) which are not user friendly (while reading the instructions - it says I need a token).
Reach out to the same person who sent me the certificate via email, whom created a Case Number: 03242673 so the tech support team could provide me with instructions on how to install / use my certificate.
Tech support just sent an email by adding Knowlodge base links (to read the same PDF file I was alredy been sent) and nothing else!
Online chat and emails does not work as they do not give us any kind of details regarding estimated time or if an assistance will be given apart from sending PDF files for you to read and try to resolve the issues yourself.
You can't properly reach sectigo by phone. And if you reach someone they are either inable to solve the issue, are inaudible or even hang up.
Then when I finally got hold of someone, they had to cancel my order as I needed a new Key, they credited me so I can purchase another certificate - guess what! the portal doesn't allow me to use my credits and of course now nobody answer my emails or pick up the online chat.
I'm still waiting for a prompt resolution/support of the case or for a full refund.

Terrible service
Same problem - 3 years in a row
Sectigo is validating an EV Code Signing certificate for me.(It is a renewal & I struggled last year & the previous year as well) I have an order no 2178589831. I want to escalate to Senior management.
They have to validate my business with the Central Supplier Database for government in South Africa. I always struggle with this step.
I have a disability(quadriplegic) & struggle to keep on calling and writing letters. My certificate expired the 21st so I urgently need it.
They keep on telling me there are no documents. The documents are there & accepted and I attached them to a case.
Only way to get action is to get hold of Senior Management

No Support and not willing to resolve any issues
We paid for ASV scanning for a year back in Aug 23. We have been unable to access that paid service since despite raising calls and chatting to them via online chat. Not one person in this organisation is willing to help or sort out the issue and we are over £700 out of pocket and have no ASV scanning capability.
I would not recommend this company to anyone

I opened support asking for help because I wasn't able to install the certificate on my plesk server, they simply sent out tutorials that didn't solve anything. His chat doesn't have an attachment option, which is something to say that he serves customers but sends complex tutorials.

Problems with this organization…
Problems with this organization (Sectigo NL/Xolphin) continues. Didnt receive a token password. Calling Xolphin now. Waiting for more than 15 minutes and they keep up hang up the phone while i am waiting. Keep calling (088-7757751) and no one answers the phone. Awful customer support. Employees are not communicating with each other. I, as a customer, am a victim of that.

Shady Practices, Bad Business
The Shady sales processes they have are really bad. Customer support is non-exist. The Cert Manager is not included and all documentation hints at its use but the product is Paywalled requiring a $5000 per year or more spend. NO ACME integration without it. You cannot even buy ACME integration on its own per Certificate. Just go Comodo for all its worth........

Non-existent support, fraudolent commercial practices
On 13-Mar-2023, over 9 months ago, I paid for an EV Code Signing certificate.
After 9 months, and after providing countless verification papers, doing countless verification steps, and verifying any single insignificant details of my entire life and the one of my company going through absurd hoops, requesting documents that never have been needed or seen in over a decade of business, forcing us to spend money and time on attorneys and more to find and provide such documents, they still didn't provide the certificate.
Yes, you read it right: 9 months.
Their verification process is by far the most convoluted, unorganized, low standards horrible experience I was forced to go through in over 14 years working as a software engineer.
Finally now, I sent all the required papers, so I was expecting to finally get the certificate.
I email them asking the status of my case, got no reply.
After weeks of no replies and sending more emails to their support, I finally got a response: Now they are requesting to send again the verification papers, despite I already sent them 4 months ago!! They just lost the documents, they forgot all the papers I sent them, they want that I restart the process from the beginning.
Their lack of organization is appalling.
Documents I uploaded vanished without a trace, and they still ask me for the same, making me highly skeptical about their document handling and security. And they claim to be a serious cybersecurity company? 🤡
When I informed them of the mistake, they stopped replying. It has been weeks I can't manage to get in touch with them.
I contacted also the support via chat, they told me they would reply my email the day after. I didn't receive any reply.
Just to make you understand how poor their system is: if you edit the email subject in a mail you send to them, their mail system will lose the email. So they always recommend you not to edit the email subject (but normally email clients do edit the mail subject, for example adding R: or RE:).
Also, I am unable to login to their client area, where they told me there is a ticket waiting for my reply, despite I already provided all the required documents.
I cannot login to the client area because I purchased the certificate through a reseller (signmycode.com) therefore no account credentials were provided to me on Sectigo.com and I cannot login.
No solution was provided by them to let me login.
These are just a couple examples to let you understand what an absolute disgusting low service they provide.
Our software development is being dramatically slowed down and halted due to their constant delays and lack of organization.
Our company is losing a large amount of money due to this time waste and their poor organizational skills, having to submit the same documents over and over again and then not receiving any reply for weeks or months.
It is embarrassing for a big organization such as Sectigo to provide such low standard service to their customers which is borderline fraudolent.
Maybe at Sectigo headquarters they think it is a normal thing, but in my country taking money and disappearing is considered a scam.
I hope we won't have to file a legal report to our attorney due to the financial damage caused by Sectigo which is failing to provide the service we paid for over 9 months ago, but if the issue is not solved promptly, we will.
It's almost as if Sectigo is a big scam company altogether. Which is ironic as they are supposed to be trusted by giving out certificates.
We are waiting for a prompt resolution of the case or for a full refund.

Worst company I've ever encountered
The process to get a software signing certificate is insane. When I got my certificate for MacOS it was a very streamlined straightforward process.
When I went to get one for Windows I choose sectigo aka comondo. One of the craziest hoops to jump through option.
To get a certificate they basically want to gather all your business info. One of those pieces of info is your business phone number. The issue is my business is an online business without a number to provide. I also don't want personal info like our phone number all over the internet.
So without my number placed on public business directories they cant issue me a certificate. Although my business is clearly established after I sent them every formal document under the sun.
On top of that updating these directories with a phone number takes 12 days. And I am the one updating the directory so I could put any random number in there. Not a very practical way to verify a number.
When I contacted support that was another nightmare. I had one support agent just completely end the chat after I sent him a government issued document with my business number on it.
Not to mention, a software signing certificate is literally used to verify software is not malware. So why would a business phone number have anything to do with this? They literally just want all your personal info.
I've been doing business online for almost 8 years now. This is by far the absolute worst company i have ever encountered. From the moment I purchased to the moment I requested a refund. Very bad business.

EV Code Signing Validation Slow

The Validation Process for an EV Certificate renewal (£874 I have paid) with this company has been a nightmare and it about to be very damaging to my £1M+ company due to the delays and non existent communication.
I have contacted support via chat on 4 occasions, opened support tickets and nobody has got back to me or has given me any guidance at all.
I keep receiving the same automated email asking me to forward a link to my account so they can locate their business profile, however there is no link in the email to actually click, and this empty linked email keeps getting sent to me almost daily, and support staff have not given a solution or even responded.
This process has now been going on for weeks, and my existing EV certificate (which was validated just fine last year with Sectigo using the exact same company details) is set to expire in less than two weeks.
I've never had such issues with certificate issuance, neither from Digicert (who I used for 5 years previously), or Sectigo themselves, who themselves issued me a EV certificate 12 months ago using the exact same company details I am renewing with. Very strange.
Hopefully somebody will read this and offer some help to move this process along.

We purchased a 3-year Code Sing…
We purchased a 3-year Code Sing certificate from the sectigo reseller ksoftware.net. After the token arrived, we made some mistaken password attempts. This is because Microsoft started issuing certificates via Token for the first time. The token was locked as a result.
Even though we called and registered with Sectiogo and Ksoftware many times, they did not get back to us.
In fact, the fact that ksoftware.net answered its phones via an answering machine made us think that the company was bankrupt. Sectigo said they would help with this, but even though 4 months have passed, the new token has not arrived.
Even though we told them that we could pay the Token fee and that you caused thousands of dollars of damage, they still did not come back. Despite being such a global company, they are indifferent and are solely responsible for our loss of business or loss of prestige. Only one token will be sent, they don't even do this.
It's a very bad company.
We don't plan on ever working again.

Lack of communication
I ordered code signing certificate for 3 years, paid $880, got nothing - and it's been two months.
Validation process is awful. Communication is slow, documents get rejected with no explanation. Often it looks like I talk to bots or illiterate people. Merely changing order address took 4 weeks running in circles. Well, I got address changed, documents accepted, and then... nothing.
No certificate, no reply to my tickets, no reply in live chat. Everything just stopped. It's been 11 days like this.
Customer service could be better, to put it mildly. I'll wait a bit more and ask my bank to make a chargeback (won't bother asking Sectigo for a refund, they don't talk to me anyway).
Update - we seem to be sorted out all the issues, communication resumed and process is about to be complete.
I changed rating from 1 to 3 stars. The service better be improved, to everyone's benefit.
