Bond maturity options much less straightforward

I have been with Secure Trust for years but their Bond maturity procedure now seems much more onerous (with a a specific code only emailed 2 weeks before maturity, allowing you to access a separate webpage for "existing customers" to give instructions). New Bond rates available were low (my instant access account with another company pays more!) so I decided to have maturity proceeds paid into my nominated account. I was surprised to find that there was no automatic option to do this and that I was required to send them a secure message. I subsequently received an automated email saying that they would respond (presumably simply to acknowledge my instruction) in 3 days. My other banking institutions are definitely more user-friendly.

Security is top notch

Security is top notch and very competitive savings rates.
When I have had to speak with a representative it has been quick (no hanging on listening to we are very busy!)

maturity email not recieved

I did not recieve my email giving me my maturity code and could not reinvest at the special rate.

Unfortunately, the code has now expired, which means we’re no longer able to process a reinvestment at that rate. We understand this may be disappointing, and sorry for any frustration this has caused.

Poor experience with a customer service agent

Based on my recent experience with one of your customer services agent, I was extremely dissapointed by the unnecessary repetition and deliberately obstructive process to deal with us. A very poor experience.
On the other hand, the following day, we spoke to another agent to deal with the same matter and are pleased to report it was much more simple, efficient and customer friendly.
