This company billed me last year for a yearly membership I had cancelled.

I contacted support to request a cancellation and refund. Cassie F. from support did not issue a refund, and now I see they did not cancel my membership, even though I asked for my email.

Now I get a renewal email that they will bill me for another year. To avoid this, I try to log in to my account, which I can, but my login credentials do not work for the separate "Manage subscription" section, where I can actually cancel my membership.

Just know this before giving your credit card details to this company.

First, their customer service is superb. It amazes me how caring and personal they are—something that isn’t common nowadays. Secondly, the platform is top-notch; it offers a vast amount of information and the ability to track your blood tests while providing customized advice based on DNA and blood test results, making it incredibly useful. However, there is still room for improvement. For example, I found that the recommendations and actionable insights could be refined further. Additionally—and this might be my main complaint with SelfDecode, which I still highly recommend—I understand the need to monetize the platform, but I can’t help but feel that it over-monetizes its features.

I have refered to it regularly over the past few years to get new DNA-based reports, upload my bloodwork results (PDFs), etc. The bloodwork results are displayed on a dashboard. Easy to understand with actionable recommendations - supplements, food, lifestyle changes, etc. It is particularly useful in that the results show if you are in the lab's "normal range" but are actually sub-optimal and what to do about it.
