I liked the service and gave me some really good insights.
I got charged another 100$ after some time though because I didnt cancel my subscribtion. Even though this is also my mistake I highly prefer companies where it is as obvious as possible to see ongoing subscriptions and make cancelling as easy as possible. I didnt see I still had it and wasted 100 dollar now completely.

excellent customer service. Very easy to reach out to. and they have great resources on how to use the service with complete walkthroughs of how to onboard clients etc. thee were also obliging enough to get on a call with me (more than once) to answer my questions)

Been testing several digital platforms over the last couple years. Of them all, I'm sticking with SelfDecode. Many options, no pushing ads, and they're open to input and feedback. For my self-managed/agent of my personal health and well being, this has everything I want and need to do it succesfully!!!

The customer service is quick to respond to any questions I have. There is a variety of reports you can download. Search for anything medical and DNA related. Great work selfdecode

If an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, then genetic testing is worth a ton of peace - for knowing where to look is half of knowing where to go.

I have used this website a zillion times. First, to ID different health risks based on my genetics. Then, I uploaded my various labs so I could see their evaluations and recommendations on how to mediate problem areas. Also, I love the new AI (DecodyGPT) search tool, which answers questions regarding my DNA and what supplement to take based on my SNPS. It's such an amazing website.

These guys have been taken payments for last few years, I thought it had been cancelled previously. They send you subscription reminders at the very last moment which are very easy to miss. When on the day of renewal they taken another payment, I emailed them and I asked to cancel and refund my money as we never use the service. This was there response. Our records indicate that you purchased a SelfDecode subscription on Nov. 11, 2021, which provided you with access to SelfDecode, SelfDecode Labs, and SelfHacked. This subscription was set to auto-renewal (as per the settings in your SelfDecode account) and as such the annual renewal payment was processed on Nov. 11, 2024. I uploaded lab reports going back 2 years. They were input via SelfDecode staff and incorporated into my profile. The price was very reasonable, especially considering my hunt and peck typing skills. The new lab data, combined and used by their genetic algorithms, makes available more focused recommendations and health reports. I find this very valuable.

Timely, user friendly and worthwhile info.

I didn't order it. Never used it. Didn't have communication from them. Don't even know who they are. But they've charged my credit card and claimed it was a subscription. Denied my dispute. I have no idea how they do their job because I don't even know what their job is. I only know they have not been honest with me!

Fantastic knowledge of my genetics. A product With extremely much value for money. Gives me value continuously in different areas.

I love this site and the coaches (Dr. Greg) is great. They are the first I know of that uses technology to sort both gene’s and blood test results to give you the big picture.

They have solved what Doctors couldn't figure out lifetime. I can't express enough good words about it. I wasn't expecting some results such as.. sensitivity to Cassein. If only I knew\ if only doctors cared. The results of removing linked food from daily diet had stopped pains, inflammations+ it's only one example. 5 stars from me

I have been using Selfdecode for almost two years. The amount of updates and continued updates have been incredible. The app looks nothing like when I first signed up. I've found it useful to get some insights into symptoms that I've had for years. I wouldn't say all the recommendations have been helpful. However, a few of them have stuck and made some improvements in my health. The app is very easy to look up health concerns or how a supplement etc might effects my genetics. The lab analyzer is also very useful.

I purchased the SelfDecode account because I wanted to compare my lab results with a DNA test in order to get recommendations that would hopefully be helpful for my health. I made the serious mistake of answering their lifestyle questionnaires while I was waiting for the DNA results to populate.

I find that the vast majority of their recommendations are primarily based on my self reported lifestyle factors and NOT on a serious analysis of my lab work and DNA results.

My number one health risk report on the Self Decode website was related to a health condition I had reported in the lifestyle questionnaire- yet my DNA risk for this condition was rated “typical”, my lifestyle risk was considered “low” and my labwork relating to this health condition was considered “optimal”!!!! So why was this health condition even on my list of health risks? As far as I can see only because I clicked a button on their darn questionnaire!

Some of their recommendations could actually be dangerous. My lab work clearly showed that I had way too high levels of a particular nutrient and needed to restrict further exposure. Yet Self Decode repeatedly recommends taking that nutrient as a supplement again and again in my various health reports! If I blindly followed the recommendations provided by Self Decode, it would actually be detrimental to my health!

Less important but equally frustrating is their app is extremely difficult to navigate. If you start from the main menu, you have to go down through five or six levels of nested information to understand the contents and God forbid if you want to go back to the previous screen, there’s no “back” button so you have to start again at the main menu and hope you can remember which tabs you opened etc.

Over the course of trying to work with this app, I reached out to their customer service team on several different occasions. The one positive comment I will make is that I received a reply each time, even though the problems I reported were only resolved about half the time.

If I had this to do over again, I would definitely give this company a pass. And in fact, I tried to cancel their subscription, but because they claim that my DNA Test kit had already been mailed, they couldn’t refund my money. Since I could easily have returned the unopened box containing the test kit with no damage to the DNA test kit, that’s clearly just company policy BS.
