Shadowpay is one of the most dishonest, misleading, and money-hungry platforms I’ve ever dealt with. I spent over $800 on items, had to reverse the trades, and they stole 30% of my money with some made-up “rollback fee” that doesn’t exist anywhere on their website or policy pages.

I went through their entire trade and refund policy line by line before doing anything there’s zero mention of this so-called 30% fee. After days of going back and forth with their “support,” they first promised a full refund, then completely flipped the story, hid behind vague excuses, and threw me a pathetic $25 “bonus” as if that would make it okay.

Their customer service is a joke slow replies, copy-paste answers, and zero accountability. They waste your time, lie to your face, and act like they’re doing you a favor while robbing you blind. The support rep even admitted they had to “check with management” several times before changing their story entirely.

This company is not transparent, not trustworthy, and shouldn’t be allowed to handle people’s money. They make up fake rules to keep your funds and then act innocent when you call them out.

Shadowpay doesn’t “protect sellers” it protects its own pocket. I lost over $300 to a site that operates on deception and shady tactics. If you’re even thinking about using Shadowpay, don’t. You’ll regret it like I do.

Absolute scam. 0/10. Never again.

This is the worst website I have ever used.
I made a deposit with crypto because I wanted to buy a knife, but I failed three times — I never received the trade offer. After contacting support, they replied:
“There was an issue on the seller's side. Please try again later or choose another seller.”

Then I said I no longer wanted to buy the knife because the prices had gone up and I wanted to withdraw my money. Their response was:
“You can’t buy anything because you need to install our browser extension or app for the trade to be generated in your Steam profile.”

So first they told me one thing — that the seller wasn’t sending the trade — and then another — that I needed to install an extension. I completely lost trust in the site and just wanted to withdraw my money. I wrote:
“I don’t want to try, I just want to withdraw my money.”

They replied:
“We apologize, this notification should have appeared the first time you tried to purchase.”

After long discussions, we agreed that support would contact their team about a refund. I waited, even though there were good offers on knives that I didn’t buy because I wanted my money back. Prices kept rising, and only four days later — when everything had already become more expensive — support finally replied:
“Sadly, a refund cannot be given to you because the deposit was made via crypto method.”

I’m extremely dissatisfied with this website. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had. First, you can’t buy an item; then support tells you to try again; later, they claim you need to install an app; then you ask for a refund, wait patiently, even while prices rise, trying to cooperate with them and not post on Trustpilot — and after days of waiting, they finally tell you they can’t refund you. The worst site ever.

I just purchased a case hardened ursus knife that looked really blue in the pictures. Since I was not able to inspect it in game, I had to trust the sites 3D viewer. It wasn't showing up in the player inventory and when I got the trade, I still could not inspect it. I believe they do this on purpose.

The difference between the knife shown in their 3d viewer and what I received is phenomenal. The 3d viewer showed both sides very blue, but the real one I received is barely blue. Absolutely not what I was expecting and would not have purchased it if I had seen this beforehand.

I have opened a ticket about this and hope for them to resolve it. If not, will bring it up with my bank and start the chargeback process.

I noticed alot of 1 star reviews which scared me a bit, but the site is legit and very competitive in pricing.

Worst website for buying/selling skins added balance to buy a skin then i couldn't buy the skin anymore cause it wasn't there and i was denied a withdraw by support. "Sadly the management has ruled that no refunds are possible."

There was nothing in the trade history, but on my bank app it says it took $65.

I I couldnt buy skins bc some stupid verification (after i deposited). Now im trying to refund my purchase it was 100 dollars now refund it. Ticket id: #49803

Items were purchased from my Shadowpay account at prices I didn't want. I used the reverse trading feature, which resulted in a Steam ban for a month, and Shadowpay deducted a 30% fee from the purchase price. This is quite high and diminishes trust in Shadowpay. You should think twice before trading with Shadowpay.

Account Restricted After KYC – Funds Stuck

I wanted to buy a Butterfly Knife on Shadowpay and already deposited my money. After that, I was asked to complete a KYC verification. I followed all the steps correctly and submitted my German residence permit as proof of identity. However, the verification failed for some reason, and now my account is restricted.

Because of this issue, I currently cannot access my funds, and they are stuck on the platform. I’ve tried to resolve this but haven’t received a clear response yet. I hope the Shadowpay team can fix this issue soon, as this situation is very frustrating and inconvenient for users who have verified their identity properly.
