Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 224 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the service, describing it as misleading, with job postings often being inaccurate or irrelevant to their experience. People frequently reported issues with the payment process, noting that initial charges were often followed by demands for additional, hidden fees for services that were not clearly explained or delivered. Reviewers felt that the staff, particularly relationship managers, were unhelpful and primarily focused on additional charges, often making promises about jobs that were not met. The website itself was criticized for facilitating these issues, with many feeling that their money was wasted and that the services provided no actual benefit in their job search. However, some customers also noted positive experiences, particularly with resume writing services, finding them effective and helpful in securing interview calls. A few other people also felt that the platform was a good job portal, providing relevant databases and opportunities, and even recommended it for job changes or internships.

Job seekers!! be aware this is scam. They loot money several thousands from you by offering premium membership. You will end up in paying more and more as they keep generating bills for different services but ultimately you will not get even a single interview call. If you are seriously looking for a job, go to each company websites, search for appropriate skills and apply. Shine.com is waste and they loot money!!
The agent who connected for "technical verification" LOL.... was so rude, was acting like a goon... unprofessional. He was threatening to pay the bills!!!

Felt Trapped by Sales Pressure and Hidden Costs — Exercise Extreme Caution

Terrible service and an extremely aggressive, sales-driven approach. Important details and additional costs were purposefully hidden at the time of enrollment, followed by repeated pressure to purchase upgrades. The tag line of "Premium Membership" felt more like a trap than a privilege.I felt immense pressure as a customer, and the process appeared more focused on extracting payments than providing genuine guidance.I ultimately had to approach NCH for a resolution. I regret opting for their service. Strongly advise getting complete written details before making any payment.

I had a veryNot Worth the Money – Poor Support After Payment disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with Shine.com. Before purchasing their services, I received frequent calls and promises about job opportunities and support. However, once I made the payment, the communication completely stopped. They all are suck my money and Froud company

I did not receive proper assistance, no meaningful calls from recruiters, and not even a single genuine interview opportunity as promised. The support team was unresponsive and did not address my concerns properly.

In my experience, the service did not deliver what was committed at the time of purchase. I would strongly advise new members to think carefully before taking any paid services. Please be cautious and make sure you fully understand what you are paying for.

Fake Company and unfair upselling

I am sharing my experience with Shine.com regarding Resume Booster and Application Highlighter services purchased on 27 Jan 2026.

During the sales call, I was informed that job experts would review and modify my resume and help apply to relevant jobs so I could be an early applicant. Based on this, I purchased the services for ₹3,657.

After payment, I was told my ATS score was low and I needed to purchase another package costing ₹6,478 for resume update and background verification. When I declined, the executive spoke rudely and pressured me to pay immediately, saying services may not be available later.

I raised a complaint with escalation team on 28 Jan 2026. Later they asked permission to activate services, which I clearly denied as I was requesting refund. Despite refusal, services were activated without my consent. I have not used these services.

On 13 Feb 2026, I again received a call where I was told that earlier commitments were never made and they would only provide limited services.

I am currently pursuing refund through official channels. I request Shine to review this matter fairly and maintain transparency in sales commitments.

I purchased the Profile Booster service…

I purchased the Profile Booster service from Shine.com with the clear understanding that there would be no additional payment requests after the package purchase. This was explicitly communicated to me during the sales call.

However, shortly after purchasing the service, I received a call asking me to pay extra for “education verification,” claiming it would increase my chances of employment. When I declined this additional payment, the representative abruptly disconnected the call. After that, there was no follow-up or proper response from their side.

When I called back, I was told that these are “optional alternative services” and that I had already been informed. This contradicts what was clearly communicated at the time of purchase — that no further payments would be required.

Additionally, I was told that Shine would proactively reach out to companies interested in my profile. As a Creative Director, I was expecting relevant senior-level or remote opportunities. However:

There are no meaningful remote job listings for senior creative roles.

The dashboard provided is no different from the free version of the portal.

There is no visible evidence of recruiter outreach or profile enhancement beyond what is already available without payment.

The service does not justify the cost, and the upselling approach feels misleading and unprofessional.

I would advise other job seekers to be cautious before purchasing paid services, especially if additional payments may be requested after the initial package.

I normally don’t write reviews

FRAUD ALERT!
I normally don’t write reviews, but I feel I have to warn people about my experience with Shine.com.

The payment process was extremely confusing and stressful. I was asked to make staged payments without a clear explanation of the full cost upfront. I paid for educational verification believing it was necessary and final, but later realized the structure was never properly explained to me.

I’ve been trying to get a refund only for that part — not everything — and instead of a simple resolution, I’ve had repeated calls during work hours and long delays. The whole experience has felt exhausting and unnecessary.

I spoke with representatives named Madhu Singh, Rohit, and Snehlata. Please don't use the platform.

Job services should reduce stress, not create more of it.

Shine is running a Fraud Job Service

Shine is running a Fraud Job Service with the name of Hindustan Times. They scam innocent Job Seekers. What they do --

They will constantly call & send mails to Job Seekers until the candidate falls in the trap by paying something like Rs 3,500/ which they say as onetime payment.

After that, they will ask for more money to subscribe their other Services. They would say without paying further, there will be no assistance in job search. Their demand will keep on increasing, may be up to 20-30 k. Even after paying that amount, there will be zero assistance.

All the negative feedbacks about Shine are very true. There one can find a Relationship Manager named Shalu & her senior Dev. May be their identities are also fake. Be aware of them.

Pl avoid SHINE.COM -- It is total FRAUD, FAKE & SCAM. I would have preferred not to give them even a single star. But without giving minimum a star, I can't post this feedback!
