Bought a new bike from shirlaws Aberdeen. I have to say I received a great service from Danial Flett the salesman. The whole experience from order to collection was seamless. Great service from the crew upstairs in the clothing department too, even got a discount off all my gear for buying my bike there. The whole store is very well set out with something for everyone there. Would highly recommend shirlaws.

Daniel was most helpful, professional and a pleasure to deal with, the transaction was made over the phone and the bike delivered in perfect condition by Andy the van driver who was happy courteous and always on time. I now intend to have my other bike looked after by Shirlaws also, due to the high standard shown all round.

Very smooth transaction, great dealer, very happy with the bike
The transaction was very smooth from start to finish, very pleased with the bike - condition exactly as described, which is so important when buying unseen and travelling a long way to collect. Daniel and Keith both very helpful, and a very impressive, modern showroom too. Keith was also very helpful on collection day too, lending me tools so I could install some accessories ready for the 600 mile ride back to London!!

Worst experience of motorcycle purchasing in over 35 years!!!
Bike delivered with No coolant
Oil level low, not showing on dipstick
Defective LH switch cube
Defective oil pressure switch
TPMS system not functional
All of which Liam (sales manager) classed as wear and tear 😂
All of the above, could and should have been picked up on the PDI it wasn’t! (what do they do on a pdi??)
Needed Triumph UK to supply and pay for fitting of the TPMS as Shirlaws refused point blank to repair it, even though they admitted they knew it was defective at the point of sale?!?
Dealer principal is a waste of space
Sales manager is his puppet
Dave and Andy in service and delivery were outstanding and the management? Could learn a great deal about customer service from them.
Real shame, no wonder people are shopping south of the border, I try to support local businesses but until they learn some basic customer focused skills and general manners, I would recommend you take your business elsewhere and AVOID this dealer.
Happy to discuss this review with any members of the Shirlaws senior management team who want to improve the customer experience.

To clarify one of the points raised, the motorcycle was not advertised or described as having a TPMS system fitted, so this was not part of the specification of the bike at the point of sale. Despite this, TPMS was supplied at no cost to you.
During the discussions regarding your concerns, a full refund for the motorcycle was offered, which you chose to decline.
We would also like to make clear that while we always aim to help resolve any issues raised by our customers, abusive language towards our staff on the phone is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.
We do appreciate you recognising Dave and Andy for their efforts, and we’ll be sure to pass your comments on to them.

Best place to get a bike and clothing
I went to Shirlaws to get a bike after passing my test, we spoke to Daniel when we were there and I can’t thank him enough for helping me find the perfect bike for me. He was patient in me wanting to sit on almost every bike to find out what one I liked best, his communication via emails throughout the whole process was amazing. He organised for me to go on a test ride with Rory, I don’t know the Aberdeen roads very well so I was able to follow behind and Rory took me a brilliant route that really let me get a feel for the bike. The whole journey from having a look to riding my new bike home was made straightforward and easy by Daniel.
Also want to thank Lewis for helping me get all new bike gear, he gave me some recommendations and had a lot of patience whilst I tried on almost all of the ladies clothing and ordered in the sizes and items I was wanting.

A fantastic buying experience
A fantastic buying experience! Shirlaws is my nearest bike dealer however it is still a 5 hour drive, this meant buying the bike using the internet and the phone. The whole process was handled smoothly and efficiently. Daniel Flett, the sales assistant who assisted me throughout was professional and understanding. The whole experience was topped off by the welcoming atmosphere I arrived to find, after a lengthy ride through November rain and chill. A great team!

Just happened to go in past one Thursday. Spoke with Dan and explained what I was thinking about. He had the solution and then we struck a deal on my new to me second hand Versys 650 KLE.
