perfect customer support

Everyone at this company is super-nice and helpful. Just amazing customer service. We bought an electronic curtain rail in 2018, and they were so helpful on the phone, helping us connect it. Recently (2025), we had a motor issue and they took the trouble to discuss with us and sent a new motor free of charge, and again, spent a while on the phone with us helping us connect it. The product itself works beautifully and is quiet. Really recommend Silent Gliss. Great products and lovely people.

Very disappointing

We ordered two 50mm Metropole silver poles at a cost of more than £900. The illustration showed them with wall brackets, but they came with ceiling brackets. It was awfully difficult to get Poles Direct (who supplied the poles which were manufactured by Silent Gliss) to understand that we needed wall brackets, and there was a long delay before they arrived. We had to call back our decorator to fit the poles, meaning we incurred an additional cost of £170.
Both the pole and the brackets are of poor quality. In particular, the front covers on the brackets do not stick on, meaning we have had to use blu-tac to try and hold them on. Do not use this company!

Hi Peter. We are really sorry you've had this experience. We would have sent the poles with the brackets that were ordered by the retailer, so we can only assume Poles Direct ordered these. We only have sight of the final order, not the installation setting so couldn't have known how the pole was intended to be fit. Again, I have no idea why there was a delay in supplying the replacement brackets as these are stocked items. When it comes to the bracket covers they are normally held in place with a fixing ring. Additional adhesive can be applied if required. If you email us direct on info@silentgliss.co.uk and ask for the marketing manager (Ref Trustpilot) I can see if there is anything else we can do to help. Once again, really sorry you have not been happy with your purchase.

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service. Bought our track in 2016. Has worked brilliantly until a recent power cut. Emailed asking for advice. Response received within 24 hours asking us to call when with the system . Discussed and advised it was most likely the transformer. They sent a link to the relevant part . Ordered and dispatched the same day . Delivery within 48 hours. Replaced it and the track is working again .

Brilliant advice on mending an ancient curtain motor

After what could be 20 years of operation my curtain motor failed. The part is now obsolete so I enquired about repairs. The SGS person was really knowledgeable and familiar with this ancient model and was able to provide advice such that eventually everything sprang back into life. What wonderful service.

On the negative side I suppose it is annoying that Silent Gliss have so many different models which are not always compatible with earlier versions, so that spares could become a problem. Still 20 odd years of working is not bad and maybe I will get another 20 years following this "repair".

£4K on tracks that never arrived!!!

We have paid approx. £4K, over three weeks ago for curtain tracks from silent gliss for a client of ours for a large one-off house with 175m.sq of glazing. They were due for delivery two weeks ago.

On a daily basis we have been fed lies by silent gliss and their delivery team; everything from telling us the delivery is on its way, to their delivery driver driver has left a card, despite the warehouse telling us it had never been put on a lorry.

Having completed a £1m build for our client they having just moved in they have spent the last week with no curtains. This has been really difficult for them, as they have three children, one that is taking end of year exams and they’re all suffering from sleep deprivation.

Silentgliss Blinds...the worst product…

Silentgliss Blinds...the worst product I have bought for my house..from 13 now 8 have simply become unglued and hang broken. It's ridiculous for an expensive product like this and after a short period of yrs (falling apart after 4yrs) SG expect me to buy new ones or repair them at 75% of the value. Totally unsatisfied with this company!!

Anything but silent

Anything but silent

I have a ceiling mounted wave track that looks amazing however as soon as my heating comes on the track makes a tapping sound all night! It’s so noisy. I contacted silent gliss to see if I could get someone to take a look at it and was told very curtly it was air bubbles and it was not a fault.
I don’t know how Kate on an email could just tell me there is no fault without anyone having looked at it.
What was bought to be smooth and silent is keeping us awake at night!
I will have to take the track down, what a waste of over £300!

I do not recommend this company as the aftercare is appalling.

We rely on an approved network of resellers for our products and we ask that any potential issues are taken up through your retailer in the first instance. This allows them to consider any potential installation issues, if, following inspection they believe the product is at fault we will, of course, rectify it within the warranty.

This company is well named!

This company is well named, the blinds are totally silent! We had ours fitted around 3 years ago and they are as good as new. I just had a technical issue with the remote (possibly due to 2 year old grandchild pressing too many buttons) and the service I received from Mark in the technical dept was first class. I could not recommend this company and their products more highly.

Worse still the magnetic ends fall off very easily which then prevents the blind being raised or lowered. Currently they are not fit for purpose. these were expensive, much more than those made to measure you can order online! We are awaiting a visit from a company technician - will do another review then.

easy to fit. very quiet in operation .programed with a little help.A big thank you to Mark who was very helpful and got me sorted . I'm 80 years old with arthritis if i can fit them so can any body. ernie

Replacement parts unavailable!

I had four Silentgliss tracks fitted about seven years ago. When a motor fell off the track and smashed, I found they had been discontinued. So the potential problem for all customers is that spare parts may not be available in the future when something goes wrong. In my situation, I could buy a whole new track system for c. £500... expensive and needing a different wireless control than the other three tracks. Alternatively I could disassemble the track so it could be operated manually. Not impressed!

I paid over £90 for a made to measure…

I paid over £90 for a made to measure curtain track. When it arrived (late), it was impossible to pull one side of the curtains closed. I should say there were no instructions with the track as to how it operated, merely fixing instructions.
My very experienced joiner fitted the brackets, he said there were no where near enough supplied with the track to secure it safely, so I had to order more at extra cost.
I contacted SilentGliss about the curtain closing problem, they merely suggested I take it back to the Interiors Shop I ordered it through. The guy there literally took a screwdriver to the pilot glider and bashed it so it moved freely! Obviously the track left the Silent Gliss factory in a unusable state.
I had to pay the curtainmaker to come and put my curtains up, as it was unfathomable as to how to hang them, even she was perplexed, she was also astonished, as was I on how few hooks were fitted to the track, thankfully I have a pelmut which covers the heading, as it would look awful without.
So, I have had to pay for extra brackets, a 40 mile round trip back to the Interiors shop, and for the curtain maker to come and put them up.
I would never recommend this Company or it's products, appalling customer service and a dreadful product. I just wish I had read the reviews before I purchased this track.

Highly Recommend SilentGliss - for projects slightly out of the ordinary!

I feel that the existing reviews on Trustpilot do not do justice to Silent Gliss so I am compelled to write a review - overall we had a great experience, achieving exactly the result we set out to achieve. We have large residential slanted skylight windows - a blind needed, but literally every blind installers who came to measure and quote, gave up on it (mostly due to the size of the windows - e.g. John Lewis never came back to quote after site visit, and they are not the only one!) I have known SilentGliss for their commercial projects so when I called up, I was fully expecting that I would not be taken seriously. However, the London based manager came to inspect our windows, and suggested just the product we needed, which tackled all of our objectives. I was really impressed by him and I looked no further in search of a blind installer. It took quite a bit of time to get the product specifications to perfection - since SilentGliss has a large portfolio of product types and fabric samples, but if you have time to get this right, then you would really appreciate the service of the Showroom manager, who painstakingly went through the options with us - we much appreciate her expert advice, enlightening us with many possibilities and options. For installation after agreeing to quote and product specifications, SilentGliss put us in touch with their recommended installer - they were perfect in every sense. They work closely with SilentGliss and they are extremely knowledgeable and experienced with their products. SilentGliss products are supposed to be installed by professionals and not for average DIY-ers, and I would say that Silent Gliss is a perfect product provider, if you are prepared to persevere and communicate to get all the details precisely as you require. If your residential requirements are slightly out of the ordinary, they are a go-to people in my experience. We may be paying a small premium for using SilentGliss, but it is absolutely worth it. I highly recommend their service.

Did not deliver on time. Electric blinds took four visits to fit. The company's representative just dumped the packaging outside our home.
