DO NOT USE SALES LIAM

Due to completion dates moving we lost the original movers we had and decided to use Simply Removals. At the time I did read the reviews and I aired my concerns to the Sales Person who then sent the below

We are a fully professional and reliable company, we are members of the NGRS and have moved David Cameron in and out of Downing Street.
Is it the Google and trustpilot page where you have seen the reviews? We have had problems with man and van company's using names similar to ours, as we have had a lot of publicity moving the ex Prime Minister. For example if you were to type in 'Simply Moving' into Google, our name will appear first - and so will our review page, as we have higher advertising.
Because of this we have been getting a lot of negative reviews from their customers thinking they have used us. A lot of the names on those pages we have no record of ever moving.

On this I went ahead but wished I had not !! One Luton van that was battered turned up to move a four bedroom house !! Two guys went about their jobs and I have to say they didn't stop. The second Luton van turned up 3 hours later and at this point I was not impressed !! They had no covers for our mattresses, they squeezed It all in so tightly we have now got damaged furniture and we could not get everything into the two vans. I had to call on friends to fill up cars and also leave a lot of items with our neighbours.

It was stress that was not needed, I expected a professional move for £1,168.00. We did all the packing and even had all the boxes packed up ready in a downstairs rooms to save on time. We found out that they pretty much sublet the jobs and they paid £150 to one of the guys to share with one other for 9 hours work which is a disgrace !!

Please please please do not use them ….. I am now in the process of trying to get some money back to pay for my 3 year old girls damaged bed !!

Do not use Simply Removals

When moving from Essex to Yorkshire we thought we had picked a reputable company. How wrong could we be. Being charged an absolute fortune and the the two guys turning up in a tatty old van without a tailift no company signage. The quote was for 20 - 30 boxes or bags, The drivers refused to take items and we had to later on take the cars from Yorkshire to Essex to pick the rest of the belongings up. More cost to us. We were not impressed with the service and certainly won’t be using them again. We emailed the company to report what had happened and they replied several weeks later. Not great customer service. Although they did say they would reimburse us the petrol money of £80. Still not good enough, when you have paid over £800 for them to do it

Terrible!!

I was suppose to be using this company to pick up furniture from my recently deceased fathers property to be transported to my own flat. I spoke to an adviser at approximately 14:15 who said the estimated time of arrival was at 16:00. At 16:30 nobody had arrived, I then phoned their offices again and they said that they would call me back. at 17:30, I was told that there was a delay with the drivers due to a customer loosing their keys and the earliest time my removal could take place was 18:30. I had to arrange additional childcare for my son to accommodate this time. I therefore had to negotiate with a childminder to have him til 21:00.

At 18:30, I spoke to their customer service team who said the drivers were outside my flat. They had gone to the wrong address. My cousin actually saw them and told them where my dads house was. When they pulled into the estate the driver said "I've called you 10 times". I asked which number and it was an old one which I explained to your operators that morning was out of service. He asked me where he was going and I directed him, however, as he was blocking in 2 cars, I said let me knock on the neighbours doors to make sure they didn't need to move their cars prior to starting works. While speaking with the neighbour for approximately 2 minutes, the man came over and said "your wasting our time" to which I responded "you was suppose to be here at 17:00" and he responded with "I don't care" after which an altercation happened. I then phone and spoke to their customer service team. I have never been so saddened by a service. Moving my dads belongings out of my family home is hard enough and I was hoping it would be made easier by using a reputable company, however not only have I lost money due to having to pay for childcare, I have been disrespected and spent a whole day waiting in for a removal service that never materialised. Furthermore, I was suppose to be giving the keys back to the council on Monday, which means I had to pay another weeks rent. I made a formal complaint and to date, I still have not received a reply - yet they keep emailing me about using their service again.

I am even thinking of going to the ombudsmen regarding the whole situation as due to them I am now a significant amount of money out!

Terrible Removal Company

We used "Simply Removals" after seeing that they had moved "David Cameron" from 10 Downing Street.... BIG MISTAKE!!!!!!
We paid £1700 for a full packing service the day before and the day of removal ... We had arranged with Liam what vehicle they would be sending a week before so we could organise a parking permit so they could park outside our property, which we paid the local authority for.. The day before the move they sent 2 guys round who couldn't speak English which we did our best to get around and my husband and I had to go out so left them with my elderly Mother. The day of the move they turned up in 2 Luton vans and not the Vehicle we had paid the parking permit for so already was out of pocket! When everything was loaded which only just fitted on the vans they headed off before us....They arrived in Lincolnshire only 20 minutes before us but rang my mother who was travelling in the car and said she would now have to pay a penalty charge of £35 for arriving 20 mins after them!!! Hang on have we not already paid you nearly £1700 !!!!!! They unloaded everything pretty sharpish and left quickly.... In the following week we noticed things were missing and damaged ... Including a £150 Drill and Most Alarmingly My Husbands Passport... We have no way of knowing if these items went missing the day prior to moving or on the day! After several weeks of phoning Emailing the company to compensate for our losses through there insurance company which we had paid for in the price of the move... there Managing Director Mr Damien Riccardo Muretti has communicated through one of his team (would not speak with us directly) that he will not pay out and if we are accusing them of theft to inform the police! Which is exactly what we will be doing today ... also We will be contacting "The National Guild of Removers and Storers" who they are apparently associated with and will also be suing them though the courts....
I URGE ANYONE WHO IS THINKING OF USING THIS COMPANY TO THINK TWICE!!! Don't take my word for it read the other reviews ... I wish I had

Awful experience

Arrived ahead of agreed time but only after phoning to say they was sitting outside the wrong house and had to be directed to correct address. Two removal men, one of whom spoke almost no english and the other was not a fluent english speaker. Their attitude and body language was very negative throughout the move, constantly moaning about having to move the heavier items of furniture. On arrival at the new property the removal men advised that they could not get the bed and chest of drawers up the stairs, not before scratching the paint on the walls and making a hole in the wall with the legs of the chest of drawers. Their suggestion to solve the problem was to remove the bannisters or break off the feet from the bed base. I advised that I believed these items could be taken up the stairs if they held the items at a particular angle, they dismissed my suggestion and placed the items in the garage, refusing to continue trying to get the furniture upstairs. My husband and I got the furniture up the stairs the next morning, with no damage to the furniture or walls. Our futton bed was damaged in the move rendering it useless. Both men appeared totally incompetent and unprofessional throughout the move.
Customer services provided a very dismissive response to my complaint.

Didn't show up on the day of my house move

I got a quote from simplyremovals for a 2 man team and a luton on 12th September at 9am. I called back on 14th September to accept the quote, I also called back on 18th to query what time the men would be showing up. As I was going to be out of the country for 2 weeks I called again on 21st just to make sure everything was still a go.

Moving day 4th October it got to about 0920 and no-one had showed up so I gave them a call and was told I don't have an order with them.

No sorry no clear reasons as to why this has happened, no solutions.... infact the guy just hung up on me.

Please guys do yourself a favor and don't go through the stress i did.

I had to be out of my house in 3hours as i was going to get sued by my buyers.
