Useless piece of kit, can’t record, Netflix only loads half the time, doesn’t always remember which shows in a series you’ve watched. If you have Sky Q DO NO CHANGE, worse decision I made.

0 Stars worse mistake we’ve ever made. All of the previous reviews are spot on. Wish I had looked at trustpiolt first. You don’t think that with a company like Sky you should have to do that. Well you live and learn please don’t waste your, money, time or energy. Sending it back as we’re within the 30 days cooling off period.

Inconsistent

Great because there’s no wires or dish. Looks nice as a white tv. However, constantly having to turn it off at the mains and back on again as it freezes or loses functionality. The voice control rarely works. When Sky call as part of their customer service reviews they could not care less about the feedback given and simply try to upsell more product. Great idea just feels so unreliable.

It keeps going off

It keeps going off - blank unresponsive screen, or listings but no programmes or programmes but no listings.I have learned from other users to switch off at the plug and wait for at least 5 minutes before switching on again. SKY Q was far better - quicker response, easier to navigate and a delete function that worked. My Playlist is cluttered with things I no longer want. If I could have a dish, I would go back to Q.

Sky are truly horrendous

Sky are truly horrendous, we have had serious ongoing issues for over 5 weeks and spent hours several times a week trying to resolve without any success. Managers constantly promise to phone you back and never do. Do Not Buy From Sky

Just not up to spec.

Just not up to spec.

1) remote has lights on it so batteries only last at most 2 weeks before new ones are required
2) TV doesn't turn on. It's like the first flat screen tvs that came out 20 years ago. You press the button and wait 5 minutes for it to come on. Coupled with that however is that it remembers every button you press but then has delay in inacting the command - so you have a cat and mouse of on and off for the next 10 minutes when it does come on!
3) picture quality isn't great. Default settings make a lot of programs unwatchable as it's set up to save power!
4) the control is another step backwards from the sky q remote, which was already a pile of crap. Sometimes the buttons go upwards, sometimes they go backwards, depending on what you're specifically doing. Don't attempt to be able to scroll through channels either, there's a delay of a few seconds between each flip, which is enough to drive you nuts.
5) TV guide. Don't attempt to be able to use, unless you have at least a gigabit internet connectivity. Massive lag between each page, which again makes it unusable.
6) the setting up problems! Took sky at least 6 weeks to actually start the subscription and keep it active. It would work and then every few days our sky subscription would be lost by the TV and nearly all the functionality on the tv would just disappear! No sky contract, no channels, no TV guide, no search, nothing. And each time this happens sky forces you to reset the TV, which means you have to spend at least an hour setting everything up again. This happened at least 6 to 8 times for us as sky's computer system somehow transmits a kill code to your device.
7) your watch/playlist basically doesn't work. You have little control over it. Stuff adds automatically which you can't remove. Stuff you have added is difficult to find and effectively hides
8) auto updates. Sky changes stuff regularly. Just as you've found your way around things - it's moved!

9) don't trust sky's delivery partner - they are supposed to deliver and install - they delivered a broken TV, didn't install it and then literally ran out the door before we could comment!

There are a lot more things wrong with it but I'm bored now of going into it. In short sky has hired children to design the interface and not tested it properly. It's slow and laggy even on a good internet connection. I could not recommend a sky glass TV!

Zero stars

I’d give it 0 stars if I was able to. Picture quality is unacceptable, I couldn’t watch the WC final because the transmission kept cutting out, and you cannot record. I could go on and on. If you have Sky Q, a decent TV and Surround sound, DO NOT SWAP IT FOR SKY GLASS.
Needless to say, I’m returning mine.

Going back in time.

Going back in time. You have to pay to skip adverts, can’t record tv shows or movies, has less channels than before, and won’t remind you when programmes on you’re playlist are on (making playlists completely pointless since you can’t record)

Average

Average, big tv that doesn’t really pack a punch. Most annoyingly the HDMI outputs and power leads are awkward to access. Literally have to use a torch to get them in Also if you own a Firestick this doesn’t fit in the space (probably intentionally) so you have to buy a hdmi extension lead which then doesn’t like the lead and pauses constantly.

Don't buy sky glass

Oh dear sky glass! What an absolute betrayal,I really wouldn't any of your so called experts in a trench with me. It just goes from worse to worse, continually having to unplug from the mains because no Wi-Fi connection, even though the internet isn't down. Remote control is a nightmare (I'm currently on my third one now) telly just randomly switches off, fast forward / rewind has a mind if it's own, engineer came and out in a booster, hasn't really made any difference, all these reviews we are all writing obviously not making any difference sky don't listen . Awful product and I actually spoke to one of their head sheds on the phone who said he wouldn't buy it for at least another year because there are a lot of problems with it.Tell all your friends and family,DON'T BUY

Complete waste of money

Complete waste of money, has less channels than a TV with free view built in. You can't set reminders for programmes that you want to watch, if you miss a show but have added it to your playlist, you have to wait until the repeat is ready to watch on the app which can be a couple of days later, you can't add anymore apps to the TV such as my5.

In all I really wish we hadn't bought this TV.

Not as smart as a firestick, actually quite stupid.

Advert says its smarter than a smart TV. Its not. Not even as smart as a £24 firestick. Main complaint is when you say "hello sky play (film title) on Netflix", it loads up Netflix, then stops at the log in screen and you have to use the remote to select which profile you want to use. Same with Prime video. I guess if you only have one profile it might work? Also why when you want a series on Sky channel it is random as to whether it will play the next one. Clearly not set up for binging.

Also you can't load other apps on as you can with smart TVs and firesticks, so its "smartness" is limited to what Sky dictate.

Last point is you can't hook a webcam up to it. Sky made noise about one over a year ago, still not available.

Overall wish I had done more research. Wouldn't have bothered. Stick with the stick.

Only positive is I've not had the hanging and remote issues others seemed to have experienced.

Bought the sky glass TV and puck.k

Bought the sky glass TV and puck, turns out I should have stuck with sky q, the number of times this monstrosity has frozen and had to be unplugged at the wall, which I might add is very difficult for me as I'm disabled, my partner is fed up having to switch the mains off and unplug it then plug it back in, it freezes constantly when you are watching a series, and I eventually found the switch off button to stop it "waking up" when you walk past, or keeps asking are you still watching? So at least that palava has stopped. Its no good for anyone who likes to watch a few series ,as you can't record and the adverts are horrendously frequent, I'm sick of them and you can't spin through them, sorry sky glass but I'm afraid you may have to give me a refund, this is not what I signed up for!

wouldn’t recommend fragile glass.

I have had sky glass for nearly a year and I have concluded that the reliability of sky glass is rubbish. More often than not I turn it on and something is wrong. Blue screen, freezing or poor steaming. My WiFi speed is usually fine when checked and at least 5 time what is required. Maybe that’s while it’s called glass - fragile - easily broken.

I hate the playlist function, adding it to the playlist is no guarantee you can stream it. So often it’s not available. I miss sky q when I press record, link the series and everything is there when you want it.

There are times when I want to screen share, but nope, this is not a thing on glass.

The picture isn’t that great either. Flat dark, my Samsung was so much better.

Was looking forward to an amazing sound experience - I am left underwhelmed, genuinely thought it was going to be sound bar/surround sound good - it wasn’t.

The voice activated search turns on randomly and other functions like movement sensing are just annoying.

I like fact that I can search in glass and it will search all platforms- but that’s about it.

If you can get a dish with q do that or go with virgin. If there is no other way, I would think hard before you sign up.

If I could sum this up in one word - annoying. It doesn’t work anywhere good enough to warrant the switch from Q. I deeply regret changing to glass
