Sky glass is a a great Tv and a rubbish product. Frequently it will not turn on so I have to fiddle and unplug it etc. YET the wretched thing will often just turn itself on during the day despite all... See more

I have had a sky glass TV and 2 pucks for nearly a year and wish I hadn't bothered with the TV. Its easy to set up and has some great features such as the built in dolby surround sound but the fact t... See more

Useless piece of kit, can’t record, Netflix only loads half the time, doesn’t always remember which shows in a series you’ve watched. If you have Sky Q DO NO CHANGE, worse decision I made.

Recently received my sky glass and have to say its rubbish.
The picture quality is terrible and pixilated, blured most the Time and the sound is also terrible.
Buzz's and crackles.
I would not recommend this to anyone at this time
Was expecting better …don’t get
Was expecting better …. Cant even fast foward on playlist !
sky TV guide not as easy as sky Q
Wish i stuck with sky q
Not Worth It Yet
I had Sky Glass 65” for several months, well past the cooling off period. I tested it with a wide range of movies, tv, YouTube, streaming services and games consoles.
The only things I used to continually say was “my old Samsung was better”.
I had to continually reset Sky Glass as it would freeze and sound was out of sync.
Sky told me I needed 100mb minimum internet speed, and it would work better if it was hard wired with Ethernet. They said I had too many wifi enabled devices in my house.
In the end I gave it back. Maybe version 2 or 3 will be better.
Worst thing I’ve ever purchased
Worst thing I’ve ever purchased, remote always playing up, miss being able to record, constantly having to turn the thing off if you walk past, the list is endless, would definitely not recommend !!!
I got sky glass 4 months ago
I got sky glass 4 months ago. And have had none of the problems above. I enjoy the voice control. And highly recommend it.
Definitely would not recommend Sky…
Definitely would not recommend Sky glass, love the fact there is no box but that's the only plus, screen freezes, purple line down the middle, voice sync delay... the list is endless. When you phone sky the operators just aren't interested and not helpful. Been with sky over 20 years ... that will be ending when contract is up.
Absolutely terrible
Absolutely terrible, simply didn’t work properly, picture quality was very poor especially on 4k content, sound was honestly poor as well, for all this Dolby atmos talk from sky it was poor compared to my old sound bar, also would not connect to my Wi-Fi , would only work via Ethernet, sent it back within the cooling off period, bought a Sony OLED instead, bit more money but far superior in ever way apart from the sound is about the same, the picture quality is on a totally different level though, that was the most disappointing thing with the sky glass tv, the picture quality was literally only as good as a budget tv, Poor.
Absolutely rubbish,waist of money and…
Absolutely rubbish, waist of money and destroys my tv viewing, abysmal picture, freezing screen, playlist is total rubbish missing some series, turning itself off wen I'm sat still watching it,eating remote batteries, apps freezing(netflix), I feel I've bought a advertising box with the odd program on ,having to pay for other channels,I.e disney e.t.c ,my advice is STAY AWAY FROM IT,I've contacted then over 10 times to sort it,all I get is "Switch it on and of to reset it",I want to cancel it but now sky are not replying to my emails and have somehow blocked me,The worst experience I've ever had with a TV and company. TERRIBLE,
I have had Sky Glass a 8 days and it…
I have had Sky Glass a 8 days and it has gone down with no signal 4 times. I do not recommend.
Not fit for purpose
We purchased a 55 inch sky glass at the end of May from the local shopping centre. We were sold it as the next big thing from sky, we have been sky customers for 28 years, we have always upgraded to the latest sky offerings when they have come out. So I persuaded my husband to upgrade.
It’s was a total nightmare from the start. The first TV we had had to be sent back, it kept dropping out of the Wi-Fi, we had a big black line running down the middle and it would just stop and go off, not turn off go completely blank, so we had to turn it off at the wall. Over £800 on a TV and we ended up grovelling on the floor every hour.
Sky replaced the TV, we had the same problems minus the black line, but gaining a volume that would shoot up to full blast when the remote was sat on the table, we had to use an Ethernet cable to try an stop it from from dropping out the Wi-Fi. One of the reasons we chose the glass was because there were no wires. We contacted sky and they put us through to the technical department, we explained the problems we were having and they said we weren’t the first. They looked at the setting and then!!!!!
We were told that our broadband was strong enough, despite there advert on the TV saying you need a minimum of 10mbph, we have 52mbph. The technical department actually told us that in order to watch the TV we would have to turn off all the Wi-Fi appliances in our home. That was ridiculous. The TV was obviously not fit for purpose.
We telephoned Sky and asked to go back to Sky Q, this is where the problems started. I have spent over 21 hours trying to get this problem sorted out and at present and despite talking to 8 different Sky representatives, all promising to sort it out, all promising to ring back and nothing. I have been waiting for 3 weeks for a viewing card, when it still hadn’t arrived today, again phoning again on the phone for another 3 hours and still got nothing resolved. Apparently there has been some kind off glitch on our account that nobody seems to be able to fix. The only resolution they offered us was to start a completely new account and lose our 28 year tenure, which of course I would not do so the wait goes on, they cannot even tell me how long it is going to be to get it fixed. They told me that they keep trying to send out a viewing card but the system won’t let them, do I believe this no for a moment. I think because we made the mistake of buying the TV upfront they don’t want us to send it. We were also told that they will make as difficult as possible to send it back. So we have no sky, and have no idea when we will.
So disappointed we’ve been with this company for 28 years, obviously that means nothing. Well if they can afford to do this to loyal customers goodness know how they are going to manage over the next year.
UPDATE
After 13 different advisors, 25 hours on the phone, 4 weeks of waiting and having to set up a new account, we finally have a viewing card so that we can finally watch Sky.
We had to set up a new account but have kept our 28 year loyalty bonus. I would like to give credit where credit is due and would like to thank Francesca, from the Sky Stockport call centre and Maggda from Sky, not sure where, who eventually sort out our problem, and indeed telephoned every time she said she would.
The sky glass got picked up on Wednesday 19th October and this is going to be our next battle getting a refund because we paid out right for the TV.
When Panther came to pick up the TV, I asked if they had had many returns, the man said as fast as they are shipping them out they are coming back, I said so it’s not just us then he said definitely not. I asked him if had one, he said absolutely not.
Terrible
Terrible, I was persuaded to have Sky Glass while sorting out my Sky contract. Because we are shortly moving to a house without a Sky dish it sounded a good idea.
The Glass TV arrived promptly on the date and time stated.
That’s when things started to go wrong, I followed the simple instructions on screen and connected the other internet etc, but I couldn’t activate the TV.
A long phone call failed to resolve the issue and I was told I would have to wait 72 hours for the issue to be resolved.
72 hours later and I tried again, but still couldn’t activate the account,
Another phone call and issue still not resolved, I was told it would be resolved in 72 hours.
Bearing in mind during this time I have no access to my Sky Q.
Another 72 hours, still no activation, another phone call. To be fair this one was more productive and the issue was located however I would need to wait 72 hours to be activated, eventually after 96 hours my Sky Glass TV connected.
Delighted we were and sat ready to be blown away with the promised Picture and sound quality.
Sadly the picture is very poor, it’s dark, almost black despite me altering the settings.
The HD quality is nowhere near as good as my Q box.
I will be cancelling and returning the TV asap and asking to have my Q box reactivated.
Useless money grabbers
I don't even know where to start, we sent the TV back within the cooling off period because sky sold us broadband we couldn't use with the TV and then left us with no broadband at all so we couldn't watch TV or work or do anything and now they have emailed is trying to charge us £100 saying the TV isn't in original condition when we barely used it and it was in perfect condition and I took photos before we sent it back. Absolute scammers
I would not recommend this to anyone
I would not recommend this to anyone. Delivery just dropped off boxes without any support. Told you need a professional fitter to wall mount. Can only use "glass" walk bracket as tv too heavy for normal brackets. Professional fitter at least £100 and doesn't have a tilt or swivel function. None of this explained at point of sale. Sending it straight back.
One of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever…
One of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made. Got the 65’ tv in my kitchen and 2 pucks for my living room and garden room. Garden room completely unusable due to picture freeze and the other 2 constantly freeze at will along with appalling picture quality at times. Do not purchase one of these and stick with your dish. They clearly know there are issues but blame it on your internet assuming no responsibility at all. Avoid avoid avoid.

Sky Glass Rip-off Beware !!
Sky Glass Rip-off Beware !!
Having only had Sky Glass installed for 5 days, we decided to return the TV due to poor picture quality and screen freezing issues. (25th July 2022)
Today 28th September I have received a email from Sky glass saying that the TV had panel damage? and now owe Sky £270!!! I placed the TV in its original box with all the leads and controller, stand, Allen screws, where removed and placed in the box also.
It was not checked by anyone, not even the courier? Before the email saying that it was damaged.
think if your sky breaks down you lose your tv too…
pros: clear colourful pictures, so easy to scroll around. love the fact that there's no extra sky boxes too have to dust. surround sound is brilliant. great that things we had to leave sky channels before are now available eg cctv. great that the controls light up when you want to use it
cons: it quite often doesn't hear/understand what you want. so you end up v cross and frustrated, plus with every command you have to say"hello sky,"it makes you want to scream. the batteries in the hand set are constantly needing to be replaced, we need to replace them fortnightly ish regardless of make. i was surprised that it's not rechargeable through usb. the tv will come on its own day and night. you lose a lot of channels, i understand about the plus channels but there are others gone, especially some of sports ones. the back on the tv controls keep coming off and quite often we have to turn the tv off at the mains, to reset it all, really annoying in the middle of a program. in conclusion sky Q was great so with glass being the next stage in tv technology it should be better and it's not
