It worked, but I had to retake the photos eight times before the app would accept one. It kept telling me that my eyes were closed when they were open. Again, it worked, but it was a frustrating process.

Read the fine print!
I did not realize the photos were coming to the US from France. My mistake. The envelope got ripped open somewhere along the way. I needed stamps from the source on the photo backs too. A Canada rule. Otherwise the photos are good and I can probably fine a use for them.

The photos turned out whiter than expected. My child is tanned skin and looks white as a ghost on his final picture. I had emailed to say to keep the original picture's colours but they weren't able to. The photos arrived quickly in the mail and they were approved by my state. Thank you

Article 50 Carte de Sejour renewal
I live in a very dark house so it took a while to get the actual photo as it needed to be (along with actually hating having my photo taken) but it allowed for privacy and assistance from AI and their human counterparts. I would definitely use Smartphone-ID again. My only real problem was that it is not yet possible to upload the photos to the Article 50 Carte de Sejour renewal website so I had to resort to requesting a hard copy - this took a couple of days so all-in-all an excellent service.

So much easier than going to a photo booth! Was able to complete it all on my phone...and that is despite needing a few attempts to get the selfie good enough to be accepted (even that part of the journey was pretty smooth!)

We did it!
My photo was refused at 1st by the French administration. I emailed support and they reply to me within a day. After proper guidance and 2nd submission it was accepted. Nothing to say but thank you!

It took 5 days
It took 5 days, multiple sites, photos and many different light sources and photographers to get a passport picture accepted. In the end I got a passport picture that I hate but it was accepted. I was frustrated I didn't care what the picture looked like. Otherwise the site worked great and was helpful.
