If you are reading this, take it as a sign to not use this company. I never write reviews but this company deserves all the bad reviews it gets.
The customer service is non-existent. I've been emailing for 3 weeks with no reply and there are no other contact methods.
There is no cancel button within your account, no matter what the FAQ on the site says.
I cannot cancel my subscription and they've already taken another payment and will continue until it's cancelled. I'm thinking about cancelling my bank card as there's no other way out of the subscription.
It's a pity as the boxes are mostly good, although always delivered very, very late.

*Edit* The day after I posted this, the cancel button appeared in my account. It seems like they can turn it off and on when they like. Take this as a warning that they are dodgy as hell.

Appalling customer service. Not able to cancel box. Some not received. Horrendous snacks in the 2 boxes I did receive. Seems like a massive scam. I have email over 4 times and not 1 reply yet. I will be telling my bank to stop taking payments to this company. Genuinely never been more disappointed in a company and their service in my life.

Good luck trying to cancel your subscription, no button anywhere to be found, even despite being after the 72 hour cooling off period, boxes have always been late, no communication received after sending an email TWO WEEKS AGO! Do yourselves a favour and find another surprise box, avoid these like the plague, I’ve just changed my payment details to an empty account, good luck taking next payment

It's basically a scam. They take your money and don't ship the box. You can't unsubscribe through their website also. Had to go through my bank to stop payment and get a refund as they don't respond to emails.
Fun product, AWFUL service
I only give two stars because the boxes themselves are actually fun and decent value. Unfortunately this is spoiled by the awful customer service, or lack thereof. I wouldn't call the company a scam, since they DO send the products, but they are shady enough that I recommend avoiding them *as if* it were a scam.
First, they take payment for the next month before the current month has shipped, making it FEEL as though you are charged twice for each box. Technically you do (or should, delivery allowing) GET the products you pay for, eventually, but it is very WEIRD to be charged twice and STILL be waiting some time for you first box.
The biggest problem is the complete inability to cancel the subscription yourself. Their FAQ says there is a button to do so on your subscription page; there is NOT. There is simply a red message AT ALL TIMES stating that cancellations can only occur 72 hours after a new order is placed, but it doesn't matter when in your cycle you are, this message never goes away. Today when the page was loading, I caught a glimpse of a "sorry", and naively thought this was a "sorry to see you go" message, so inspected the source for the page, only to see that it was "sorry this product is not available". Absolutely no sign of an option to pause or cancel. The red message and the FAQ page would indicate that there WAS a button to cancel but was since removed, but judging by other reviews, I struggle to believe there was EVER a customer friendly option to cancel.
So, I am awaiting a response to an emailed request to cancel, the page for which says they aim to respond in a couple of days, but immediately received an automated reply saying it would take 7 days due to being overwhelmed with emails... Like others have said, if they were more consumer friendly to begin with by letting people manage their subscription, maybe they wouldn't be so inundated with tickets...
Lastly, the payment is not set up as a direct debit, so you can't even manage it through your bank. You can of course dispute charges with them, which, now I have formally requested a cancellation, I will absolutely be doing if they DARE charge me another month regardless. You can't delete a payment method on your profile either, without first adding a new valid card.
Again, the boxes themselves are not bad, apart from getting a little beat up in transit, or being failed to deliver by the ever irritating royal mail service... but NO company should be able to keep your payment details on file and hold you hostage like this with no easy way out. "Send us and email and MAYBE we'll deal with it" is NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
Nightmare subscription.
Charged for my first box. Was meant to be shipped 3 weeks ago, it still hasn't shipped. The have then charged me for the second box already. They have removed the unsubscribe button from their website. So the only way to cancel is to contact them. But guess what, no number to call and no one answers the query submission. How does get out of this nightmare?

I decided to try it as they were giving 50% off your first box on an ad I saw on Facebook. They took the £7 and then 4 DAYS LATER took another £13.99! Two weeks pass and I’ve not received any boxes or emails from them!
Their website says you can cancel yourself online, you can’t. When you contact customer services via their website you receive an auto-generated response saying they are overwhelmed and it will take up to 7 DAYS for a response.
If the company can’t cope with orders why keep advertising so aggressively on social media for new subscribers. Absolutely diabolical way to run a company. I’ve blocked further payments via my credit card because thankfully I used a credit card but just don’t bother with this company.
Overall positive experience!
I’ve signed up twice (cancelled the first time after around 6 months because I was trying to save but they sent me a discount code for 3 months of boxes so signed up again). People can’t complain about the actual snacks as the whole point is that it’s a surprise.. I don’t always like everything/can’t eat certain things due to allergies but that’s the whole point! I’ve tried snacks from so many different countries which I really enjoy! The only reason I’m not leaving five stars is because sometimes the boxes do arrive a bit slow but they always provide updates via email as to the reason why. Also I’ve seen a lot of bad reviews about the customer service team not coming back and not been able to cancel accounts, but both times I have emailed to cancel they have come back within 24 hours and cancelled for me immediately!

Total scam. Take your money and don't provide the boxes and won't let you cancel online. No way of contacting them. Tried to cancel payment by my credit card company and Snack Surprise took payment by a 3rd party. Very underhand company. AVOID AND DO NOT SUBECRIBE.
