As all the other reviews have said, there is no way to cancel tour subscription despite the website saying you can do it yourself online and then they ignore emails and the online contact form repeatedly.

I’m about to open a dispute with the bank to get it cancelled. Such poor show!

I've been with snack surprise since January. Apart from slow customer service I've not experienced any real problems.
There have been some delays with boxes but they have always delivered.
My missing May box is out for delivery now and all will be upto date with my subscription.

The snacks have been interesting and we have had fun trying them. There is an Interesting fact booklet that comes with them with information about the country and snacks, there are even a few recipes!

The snacks won't be for everyone. Think of it as playing a game of bean boozed, some you'll love and some you'll hate.
This subscription is not for you if you complain that you don't get snacks you like.
The point is it all being a surprise and experience.

The box is lovely and a good value but it's impossible to cancel. No one ever responds to emails and their customer service is awful. You can't remove your payment method without adding a new one, so that doesn't work either.

Do not purchase! ..I ordered 2 weeks ago and they took my first payment..did not recieve ..then a few days later they took a second payment! ....they don't answer emails!! ..they take your money and don't send goods...you can not cancel your subscription! ..avoid it's a scam ! ...or they are just can not cope with new customers ! ...absolutely horrendous service ..basically they are stealing your money!

Awful customer service, they’ve taken a double payment this month and aren’t replying to any emails a week later. Almost feels like a scam. Avoid!

It’s a trap and a scam. The boxes in general are ok. But trying to leave your subscription? No chance. They scam you and ignore your emails and messages about cancellation. They constantly keep up a sign saying “can’t cancel yet wait 72 hours” and it stays that way until they take another payment out your account. I emailed 5 times saying do not take another payment out I want to cancel, they ignored and proceeded to take more money out. I had to call my bank to block the account, that’s how bad they are. It’s a trap and a scam. Do not do it. Not worth it at all

Wish I didn't have to give one star in order to write this review. Also wish I had read the reviews before signing up to a monthly subscription. After watching someone's vlog on social media these boxes seemed exciting with various treats being sent from different countries each month, something I thought my daughter would enjoy. I had a code to get the first box half price and £7.00 was taken on that day 2nd July, however, 2 days later on the 4th July £13.99 was also taken from my account. I checked my orders and it showed 2 being processed, both for Junes box? I've emailed them twice querying why another payment had been taken for the same box and heard nothing, it's then I decided to look on here to see if others had been experiencing any issues with payments and communication. Omg nearly all the reviews are saying the same thing! I have tried repeatedly to cancel but there is nowhere to cancel and it keeps telling me to wait 72 hours, it's been 4 days since they took the second payment and still the cancellation button is blocked. I have stopped my debit card with the bank in the hope no more money will be taken from my account. I doubt I will receive anything as my first order was 6 days ago, and is still showing as processing. To be honest I don't want to receive anything from them now, as the whole experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth. Lesson learnt, always read reviews beforehand! Will also be contacting Trading Standards.

Complete scam. Yes you EVENTUALLY receive something. However all communications are ignored and despite me saying multiple times I want my account stopped before the next payment, I was still charged. I am unable to cancel my account because they have disabled the option to. Avoid at all costs.

SCAM!
Paid for a box in 4th June, due to ship at the end of June. It's now 8th July and no sign of the box.

Emailed to cancel 24th June, no reply so have been charged for July's box and £23.99 taken out of my account.

Absolutely disgraceful company, have reported to trading standards and suggest you all do the same.

I gave them over a year to sort themselves out (coming out of pandemic and transport issues etc) but they’ve just been getting worse. Can’t cancel my subscription on my account as promised; I contacted them and they said they’d do it but never did, boxes arrive 4-8 weeks late and are very euro centric. Like the others, I will have to get my bank to stop the payments.

Signed up through an advert i saw on Facebook. I thought i would give a box a go for my daughter to see if she like it so i intended to cancel the subscription until i had sampled the first box.

Upon trying to cancel, i was greeted with the message " Cancellations are allowed only after 72 hours of a new order being placed, including subscription renewals. Please wait." so i proceeded to wait until 72 hours had passed. 3 days later, i could still not cancel and was getting the same message, the problem i had now is that they was due to charge me for Julys box within a matter of hours.

I have sent various Facebook messages and emails to the company with absolutely no reply, but they have had the decency to charge me for Julys box. i am now 11 days since i signed up, so 8 days past the 72 hours cool off period and i am still getting the same message with no option at all to cancel.

I will not be contacting my bank to stop the payments and try to pull back the funds. Needless to say, i wont be signing up again after this.

one massive scam to take your money. Avoid this company like the plague.

Absolute scam. They take your money and may deliver one or two boxes, but then continue to take your money, but don’t send the boxes!
I’ve had to cancel my subscription with my bank, as they haven’t go a cancel subscription option, which is surely illegal?? They’re still sending automated emails saying they’re trying to take the money.
I had one reply to the email I sent asking for my box/refund & my account to be cancelled. They ignored the requests and told me I’d had a box sent recently, which had mysteriously turned up when I had emailed them.
I would avoid at all costs. They don’t have their comments on on social media, as the one time they did, every single comment was someone asking for their box and saying what a scam it was.

Scammers avoid at all costs, Mays box turned up on the 29th June with poor quality products. Junes box is yet to dispatch and was due to be posted first on the 9th then 30th and then 4thJuly. and to make matters worse they have taken Julys payment. You can not cancel online or by email. I have emailed four times now, first with a wheres my box message as well as cancelation request. Got a reply saying box will be posted end of June but ignored cancelation.
Have spoke to bank and cancelled payment,BUT as its a visa payment it will be honoured every time they ask for it. I just keep having to apply for charges backs until they get the message. Will be interesting to see what they say about returning boxes if they send them out unpaid for.

Absolutely awful excuse of a business. No communication towards swathes of frustrated buyers who have not received any products for months despite being charged over and over. Shady subscription setup that doesn't allow you to cancel. It's a shame because it had so much potential but they are just running themselves into the ground.

Fraudulent company, avoid at all costs!

They do NOT let you cancel your subscription while you have an outstanding order, and they don't seem to ship your previous orders until past the renewal date. Tried to cancel via email and no response.

I have reported them to trading standards and raised a dispute via my bank.

I do not know if their are other companies out there which offer a similar service, though I imagine there is. If there is, I would recommend them 100x more than these guys. If you cannot find an alternative to these, go without. Scam of a company.

No replies reported to trading standards. Had to cancel card to stop payments being taken.

This company refuse to allow cancellations. They have a permanent warning on the website saying cancellations not allowed for 72 hours, it is always there.
They do not respond to email cancellations. We sent notification by email six months ago after the last tried to take money and had to cancel payment at bank level. We also sent notification to cancel 6 months previously.
They have just tried to take money unauthorised from my account 2 years after I placed my original order and using a swipe payment from a card that has since expired.

Order two 3 month subscriptions for Xmas gifts 2021. One obviously got lost in the post, emailed numerous times and only received a reply in June 2022. Even then there reply, didn’t even answer what my issue was. Gave me a complete load of rubbish that didn’t apply to my Query and when I replied back. I just got ignored. Still waiting for my lost box. So upsetting as this was a Christmas gift.
