This is a well deserved 5 star rating for excellent professional service between February 2026 to date. Fran was my main point of contact, I found her helpful, approachable, professional responsive. This made the my experience smooth even when passed to other soresi teams the experience was the same. The aftercare has also been excellent as issues raised were addressed promptly and they do follow up. Keep up the good work, and many thanks to Andrea and Sherry as well. I would highly recommend SoResi.

Heidi has been great!
Throughout the process, Heidi has been there with updates and reassurance. As this was my first time buying off-plan and not fully understanding the timelines of the move, Heidi has been great in supporting me through the process and explaining everything to me in full, and has kept pressure on the solicitors for updates.

SO Resi made our home‑buying experience far less difficult than we expected. From the moment we requested a viewing, Huw Baldwin and Renee were consistently kind, accommodating, knowledgeable, and supportive, guiding us smoothly through the initial steps of purchasing our new home.
Once our mortgage offer was in place, Heidi Bainborough from the Progression Team stepped in to coordinate with us, both sets of solicitors, and our financial advisors. She ensured that everything stayed on track and that all requirements were met in time for the final stages of the process. Heidi was always approachable, reassuring, and genuinely helpful, and we felt we were in very good hands throughout.
As first‑time buyers, the process felt daunting and overwhelming at times, but having the SO Resi team by our side made a huge difference. Their support and guidance gave us confidence and peace of mind at every stage.

I was a shared owner with Metropolian Thames Valley Housing and So Resi. The latter mainly dealt with me when my resale prices started. The process to sell through them was slow and not very clear but once I got approved to sell in the open market everything was much faster. Their information online is clear and precise. The case handlers are approachable and very helpful.

SoResi took over the marketing of my shared ownership re-sale and within a week I had a buyer. My Resales Consultant (Lubna Suarez) has been exceptional in providing me with updates and advocating for my sale. My experience with both SoResi and Lubna has been excellent.

I had a property viewing at Edcity with Malcome, and it was hands-down the best viewing experience I have ever had. From start to finish, he was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive. He didn't just show me the space; he made it a true experience. Malcome took what was essentially a barren, blank canvas of a flat and vividly painted a picture of what my future life could be like living there. It was deeply moving to see the potential of the home brought to life so beautifully. He answered every single question with absolute clarity and made the whole process feel effortless and exciting. If you get the chance to view a property with Malcome, you are in expert hands. Exceptional service!

I purchased a one-bedroom apartment through SO Resi and, unfortunately, it has been one of the most disappointing property purchases I have ever made.

Before purchasing, I was given assurances regarding the construction and sound insulation of the building, including information that led me to believe there would be an appropriate level of soundproofing between apartments. After moving in, it quickly became apparent that noise transfer between properties was far greater than I had been led to expect. I can regularly hear noise from neighbouring apartments, including multiple floors above my own.

Over the years, I raised numerous concerns regarding the property and associated defects. I also identified several issues where information provided during the sales process did not align with what was ultimately delivered. For example, I was advised that the communal post boxes would be correctly labelled and that parking bays would be future-proofed for EV charging infrastructure. In practice, these matters did not materialise as described.

My experience with the sales process was equally disappointing. Communication was often poor, responses were inconsistent, and obtaining clear answers to straightforward questions proved unnecessarily difficult. On several occasions, concerns were either dismissed or passed elsewhere without resolution.

What has made the experience particularly frustrating is that SO Resi's sister company, Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing (MTVH), is responsible for managing the property. The communication and customer service issues continued long after completion and ultimately resulted in me escalating matters to the Housing Ombudsman. The Ombudsman found service failures in MTVH's handling of my case and awarded compensation as a result. During the investigation, it also became apparent that key information relating to my case had not been properly recorded or reflected in MTVH's records.

Nearly four years later, many of the same communication and service issues remain. I have now decided to sell the property and move on rather than continue dealing with the situation.

Based on my personal experience, I would not purchase another property through SO Resi, nor would I recommend a property managed by MTVH. I would strongly encourage prospective buyers to carry out thorough due diligence and research before committing to a purchase.

Roy has been really good at responding for our staircasing process / to sell our property. Roy always rings me back quickly and responds to emails as soon as he can. He is very personable over the phone and been helpful at answering questions.
We are however being held up waiting for the sales pack and been waiting for over 3 weeks. Being told it’ll be the next week, then the next etc …

From the beginning of the process until closure both Gordon, my lovely sales associate and Heidi have been absolutely wonderful. As a first time buyer they were patient and helpful with any query I had. Always very accommodating and considerate and have made the whole process easier and more positive.

Maeve McFall was very helpful and proactive in her role. Hoping that others in the firm can use her a benchmark as we have had some poor experiences with the company.

The communication from the So Resi staff about Staircasing my home was excellent. They answered all of my questions and everything went smoothly.

My experience with SoResi overall was very good. I viewed my place in early April and got my keys early June, so it was a quick turn around for me! (no chains and a vacant property did help there). I have to give a shout out to Karen, who was absolutely brilliant throughout the entire process. I have some extra accessibility requirements due to health reasons, and Karen went above and beyond to help me. She really took the time to understand, personalise my experiance and to give me support where most people won't bother. Without her help, I wouldn't have been able to get through the process and I'm forever grateful to her for her hard work and empathy. She is an asset to the SoResi team!
