This company might be good to find rooms to rent, but not to post rentals, i was guided to pay for a record check to be able to post a rental, and was "denied" suppossely because i didnt past the record check, further investigation revealed that the case number they provided me with is fake. Which turned this into a scam, i got robbed by spare room for $15.00 be careful out there, i might be 1 of thousands of people trying to post a property, at 15 dollars per person is a lot of money.

I am so dissapointed with this company.
I have used them many times and have previously been very good. On this occasion i created a file and within minutes of subscribing was asked to verify using DIGITAL ID. I refused this and chose not to use the service. I requested a cancellation within minutes and over the week have been ignored or refused a refund. I am now looking into the formal complaints procedure

Found my current room on SpareRoom and still here 2.5 years later ! Started searching SpareRoom for my next apartment.

Everything about the company the site is great. It’s just that there seem to be some flakes that bother you and inquire you about your property and when you respond, they don’t respond back simple stuff, Flakey people.

I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call back on my feedback. Richard was very pleasant and upbeat to talk to. He answered my questions and gave me other information that i was unaware of.

My experience with Spare Room has been great. I found both a long-term renter and a short term renter on the site. I would recommend it to all landlords.
