St Eval was born in the Cornish countryside. From our clifftop home in North Cornwall, we work with nature to collect fragrances and turn them into wildly scented candles. Each one is a journey, an experience, a landscape we love. Come with us across a misty moor, along an ancient coastline or wherever the wildflowers grow...

I had an issue with a candle I had bought and Monique in their customer service team was fantastic in investigating, helping to explain what had happened and sending out a replacement candle. Such a lovely company and such great, personal customer service, thank you.
Discovered St Eval a few years ago, and still have some small 'candle clip' 'Inspirus' Christmas tree candles from 6 yrs ago that still smell amazing.
{They weren't burned in the Christmas tree for safety reasons, but still smelled lovely}
It is always a good idea to smell the candles in person if possible, to see which ones you like, as scents are very subjective.
'Inspirus' is the one that most resembles a Cire Trudon candle to my nose - but the Vintage rose is also lovely - very rose like without being 'artificial'.
As far as scented candles go, these are very good.

Thought id try as I love my candles. I purchased the big pillar candle (winter thyme) when I opened the box its smelt amazing and was excited to lite it. However sadly you cant smell a thing infact it smells like hot wax. Won't be purchasing again as its not a cheap candle

I was given a St Eval candle - winter garden - in a tin. I am impressed by two things: 1. It smells lovely. 2. The candle burns very evenly without "tunnelling". I have had lots of candles in the pas and they have, without fail, left lots of wax around the walls of the container as the wick burns down the middle. I have no idea if this is the difference between a metal container and glass, or whether it is the quality of the product, but I am very pleased with it and will buy more for myself!

I ordered 3 Embers candles as it’s my favourite candle for the winter months but the scent has changed now sadly and no longer smells the same :(
Delivery and packaging were perfect , I just preferred the scent before .

I bought the 3 wick bay and rosemary candle - it came quickly and in non plastic packaging. The scent is beautiful and fills the house with a soft, natural, herby smell - it’s just wonderful. I highly recommend this company and am definitely going to buy from them again.

Since lock down and working from home I have tried A LOT of candles and, after discovering St Eval in a shop, I ordered online and this is hands down the best way scent my home with candles I’ve experienced. The throw scent is so good my living room still smells Devine the following day, long after I blew the candle out. They really are the best.

My third year of purchasing Xmas candles for our house and friends.
Best are the orange and cinnamon and the fig. For £25 get a fab gift for others who love them too. Shape is wonderful and last for Xmas week easily.
Thoroughly recommend StEval candles

Bought two candles for my partner’s mum for Christmas/her birthday and unfortunately the delivery person just left it somewhere I didn’t recognise in the picture outside my apartment building and it subsequently went missing (two guesses which delivery company). Contacted customer service who were kind enough to resend my order with a different delivery company to ensure I would get this one, which I did this morning.
Both candles smell absolutely beautiful and are good quality. I more just wanted to praise the company for their wonderful customer service more than anything though. Will definitely be ordering for myself in the new year🩷

This tealight advent calendar has truly exceeded my expectations. The artwork is gorgeous, and the gold foil accents give it such a luxurious feel. Each tealight has a delightful fragrance that fills the whole house, and they burn much longer than I expected—we often leave them glowing as we head to bed. Opening a new door each day has become a small, joyful ritual. I truly hope there’s a 2026 edition, as this has become a new holiday favourite! 🕯️✨

I recently got the St Eval advent calendar and it’s truly magical.
The pictures on the are amazing and for the hidden mermaids out there it’s a must have.
It was a little on the pricey side but when you see it it’s well worth it,
I shall definitely be buying from again
Also the tea lights smell amazing

I haven't bought St Eval candles before because there are much cheaper options available and nobody has been kind enough to gift me any, but after a talk by their inspiring CEO, much of which was about the company ethos and sustainability practices, I bit the bullet and bought some tealights for me and also some for gifts. All I can say is, you get what you pay for. I have only burned the Wild Thyme tealights so far and they last for AGES (at least 6 hours) and smell divine throughout the whole burn time.
I am so disappointed, I have been buying St. Eval candles for years my favourite being Inspiritus but goodness knows what you have done to the formula. The last two tin varieties I purchased were very weak but I recently thought I’d give it another go but this one has absolutely no aroma whatsoever & at £15 a go I think this is extremely poor. As a resident of Cornwall I like to support local businesses but this is making me question whether I will purchase any more of these candles even in other fragrances.

My order was lost in transit by the original carrier (Evri) but Monique in customer services immediately arranged a replacement with an alternative courier and the goods arrived within 24!hrs! Incredible and personable customer service supporting a great product range! Thank you St Eval.

Sacred Forest tea lights
£9.99 for 9 tealights
No aroma when lit
Absolute rip off and very annoyed!

I bought a pack of 9 tealights, lemon & thyme fragrance, bought locally for £11.99.
I don't particularly like the smell but that's a matter of taste. The problem is the tealights do not burn well. A few had the wicks burn out in a few minutes, most others the wicks burnt ok but only in the middle which left a lot of wax unburnt. V. poor, def not a good buy!

Whilst staying in the Cotswolds I came across Winter Thyme by StEval. Absolutely amazing scent and fills the house with Winter. Ordered more this evening of the same scent. Feel that maybe I need to probably buy the set to try them all ❤️

First of all I’ve been a loyal St Eval customer for many years. My first ever candle was Inspiritus and it smelt divine filling my whole house with a magical winter fragrance which I always associate with Christmas. However the last pillar candle and two tin candles I have bought are weak scented and if a scent can be defined as insipid I’m afraid it’s now Inspiritus. I suspect the formula may have been changed, friends have shared the same conclusion and no longer buy that scent. Luckily for St Eval you brought Figgy Pudding back and you have Bay & Rosemary as two form favourites but please consider putting Inspiritus back through R&D because something has changed, not for the better and for me that scent was the definition of St Eval candles.
