Easy to use and the quality of talent that came through was excellent. I especially liked that you can contact the talent directly through email or mobile making it a lot easier to communicate and confirm.

I had a recent experience of a communication breakdown meaning that I didn’t get instructions to do a follow up self tape.Sometimes I don’t follow up on self tapes but this was not the case in these two occasions. Both productions showed a “ high interest” in me for the leads. I didn’t get the leads because I didn’t send the self tapes.

However, I was followed up by the producer of one of them. She asked why I didn’t submit a self tape and informed me that I didn’t get the lead as a result. She asked if I would be interested in a support role-no audition or self tape needed. She had remembered me from when I worked with her when I was 16. This is a big deal for me because it’s a Fringe show and Fringe is huge over here.

I've been with Starnow for about 3 years. It's fantastic. I get more work through them than any agent I've had. I work mostly as an actor and musician but I've also got modelling work and even my car has got a part on Home and Away through Starnow! They are thorough and every job is scrutinised before their ad goes live. I can't recommend them enough.

This website has opened up a lot of opportunities for me and I highly recommend it!

Although I have an agent, I still maintain my membership of StarNow. Why? Because it keeps me in work regardless whether it's paid, paid a little, or paid nothing but a free lunch. It's also opens up great networking and experiential opportunities on an ongoing basis. Best of all, you get to work with lots of up and coming industry persons from directors to producers to tech people and wardrobe and set designers - the industry people of the immediate future. All the work you do in acting class you get to practice in real life on set situations where the feedback is 100% real and honest. All this, thanks to the constant StarNow job listings. I love it, and it costs just a little and that little is even tax deductable.

I couldn’t be happier with this site. Over a 100 bookings on an ongoing International paid Feature Film project, paid national features, short films, web ads and social media ads. Many of them on StarNow. My one concern is big players are asking for “in perpetuity” low paid bookings, which is exploitative and very dodgy. Amazing website thanks StarNow!

As a Mum I have been very happy with Star Now, it has enabled my daughter to make valuable contacts and from that ongoing she has gotten further jobs away from Star Now.
When she first started she had a couple of jobs which she did for nothing but they gave her good experience and contacts.
She mostly does Hair Modelling, Nail Modelling but she has done some Music videos.
Advice, don't be afraid to get out of your comfort zone, and don't be afraid to ask for money.
We did have some hiccups when we started with a couple of unpaid jobs that said they would pay but we soon worked out how to spot them also we persisted and got paid in the end. We have found the people my daughter has worked with to be very professional and she has established some good contacts in the industry because of Star Now.

I recommend the site to many of my friends, one of whom has a budding actress/dancer who is doing very well on your site.

Finally parents support your kids and try not to worry, common sense goes a long way.

I thought I had to be industry guru to use the site, but from registration to listing and follow through communication I was very impressed. Great tool, friendly contacts and all in a safe environment.

A great tool for freelancing that won't break your budget. Especially good for people like me who just a t as a side earner. Definitely recommended.

I run an event company, Hens Treasure Hunt, and employ actors as hostesses to provide my events. I love their dynamic energy and 'the show must go on' attitude they bring to their work. I have been using Starnow to source my staff for several years now and have found some amazing people here. It's so easy and free for employers too! Great service, don't know what I would have done without it. Keep up the good work!

Coming from a Production Background StarNow is a very very Valuable service with a cool user friendly website followed by a simplistic approach in hiring the right person for the right job.
Oh, and not to also forget to mention the fact that if you ever run into any sort of dramas what so ever, the really friendly Admin are usually there to help and will get back to you either the same day, or the following one, which was such a blessing. :)

The Recommendation part is also a really cool feature in where you can write your own review about the person you worked with for the particular project they where part of. The only thing you may struggle with though is the character count limit which can be a little tricky, especially if you have a lot of good things to say. :P

So after having said all that, StarNow deserves a Five Star rating based on the above explanations and is Highly Recommended to Anyone and Everyone that is in need of using a service to help search out and hire that right person for their particular project.

Great starting point for performers trying to make it in the industry

I have been with Star Now for almost 8 years, what an outstanding website. This is where I have got the majority of my work throughout the years, working on some really interesting and exciting projects.....and well paid.
I certainly don't need to rely on an agent.

We have been part of the StarNow talent database for 2-3 years now and have found it to be a great tool for actors (upcoming and experienced). StarNow has put us in contact with many Directors, Casting Agents and other like-minded child actors seeking roles. During this time we have had many opportunities to audition for roles, and luckily even be selected for quite a few, including TVC's, fashion stills and social media shoots. We would highly recommend StarNow to child actors seeking to make a start in this industry, or for those that would like to be in control of their own acting opportunities. Leonardo G and Alec G.
