Proceed with caution. My first order got lost. They resent another order and that has been tied up in customs for over 2 weeks. They use the cheapest, most unreliable shipping with multiple middlemen. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. This company won’t be around much longer if they can’t figure out their logistics. Overall the worst experience I’ve ever had purchasing any product. -5 out of 5 star.

Fast delivery and top product (easy-link)

Pre-Ordered in November 2025 for january delivery, still no 'On The Fly' link for my BB58 Tudor. They keep delaying the delivery, because of "production issues". Weird thing is that all this time they still took pre-orders. So they are taking money, but not delivering. Last update I got is that they hope to ship it beginning of May.

I can understand production issues, but still taking on new orders gives mixed signals. I do not trust this company fully anymore.

Steel Reef are terrible. I paid for my Grand Seiko Swiftlink in April 2025. Delivery was supposed to be summer to autumn 2025. In November, they said it would be delivered the first few months of 2026. Just got an email on 3 April 2026 saying production won't even begin until June 2026! Despite my repeated requests, they refuse to provide a date of when the item.i ordered will be delivered!

Great product and completely changed the experience wearing my watch. Any future watch I get that you make an on the fly extension for I will be ordering it!

Incredible Quality, fit perfectly, and looks 100% OEM. If you don't have the extension link on your Zulu Time, it's almost not complete. Great addition and 100% worth the money!

I bought a half-link and a full link for my Rolex Explorer II and found that the links were better than the original Rolex links. Great product.

Basically an elaborate scam, following all the established steps: gaining trust, asking for the money, keeping up the momentum, several postponements and then radio silence.

Company makes excellent products. The half link fit my Rolex perfectly. If I were Rolex I would buy this company since Rolex does not make half links for the Explorer 2 bracelet.Great company to work with. I would use them again anytime.

My bezel insert was as described, and manufactured to the high rollers necessary to fit my BB 58 GMT PERFECTLY. Kit included a replacement gasket, and I was able to complete the service with a new tool and some courage. Recommended!

Great product and the second watch in which I’ve installed one. I’m a wrist sweller. The adjustable link is a game changer. Makes my Sea Dweller a daily.

I recently made my first purchase from Steel Reef after consulting their team in advance to make sure I selected the correct product. Only a few days after placing the order, the Black Friday discount increased from 15% to 25%. I contacted them to ask whether the difference could be honoured, especially since the timing was so close and I had followed their guidance when ordering.

Unfortunately, they refused to apply the updated promotion to my order. What made the experience worse was receiving a marketing email immediately after, promoting the full 25% discount — right after being told they couldn’t help. It felt inconsiderate and left me feeling unvalued as a customer.

The issue for me wasn’t the amount, but the lack of goodwill or flexibility. A small gesture of fairness would have gone a long way, especially for a first-time buyer and watch enthusiast. Instead, I’m left with a negative impression and won’t be returning.

My experience with their customer service has been disappointing, and I hope this review helps others make an informed decision.

*Update*: I want to update my review after being contacted directly by Gabe, the founder of Steel Reef. He reached out personally after seeing my initial feedback, reviewed my order, and agreed that the discount issue should have been handled differently.

While the initial situation was disappointing, I genuinely appreciate the way the founder took responsibility and resolved the matter. His response showed integrity and a willingness to look after customers when something goes wrong.

I think it’s only fair to reflect that effort here, and I’m grateful for the resolution.

Utter useless liars theives

The on-the-fly link is the perfect accessory to my vintage “meters first” 5513. The bracelet now fits perfectly in warm or cold weather. Before, it had to be compromise-adjusted to be too loose for cold and a bit tight for warm. The link material and finish match perfectly also, and indistinguishable from OEM.
