Hoodie review

I’m writing this review about a year late, but they’re still selling the same hoodies with the same pictures, descriptions, and prices, so my experience should still be relevant.

I used to own the Yuji hoodie, which I’ve since sold since I didn’t use it once. That one was actually missing from my original order, but customer service resolved it quickly, so no complaints there.

Now, onto the quality which is the real issue here. Even when I first got them, I noticed some concerns, especially with how the hood was constructed. I brushed it off at the time, since the hoodies went straight to the back of my closet since the fit was pretty mid.

Currently, I only own the cursed dragon zip up. I’ve worn it only twice, and that was enough to notice several problems. The magnetic button on the collar, for example, was surprisingly heavy, but that didn’t matter for long since it fell off on its own during the second wear because the small string holding it just snapped. Also the magnetic pieces don't cling on strong enough in my opinion.

The hood’s construction also feels cheap, though I don’t really use it, so it’s more of a design shortcut that leads to a functional issue if you want to use it.

The biggest problem is the overall build quality, especially the hems and zipper. The hems on both the sleeves and waist are single-layered, which feels like serious corner-cutting considering the price. I found this out when I tried to crop the hoodie by cutting a few holes and realized how thin it was when I couldn't feel for a second layer so I could hide the holes and pull the string through the hem.

Then there’s the zipper. I’ve dealt with plenty of low-quality zippers before, but this one is on another level of frustration. It takes several minutes just to get it to start closing, so I’ve decided to just leave it zipped permanently. Keep in mind I have worn this hoodie only twice and owned it for over a year so the zipper shouldn't be worn out.

Overall, the designs are great, but the quality doesn’t match the price. The hoodie feels cheaply made compared to what you can get elsewhere for the same money. If you love the designs and don’t mind the quality issues, they might still be worth it for you but for me, they just don’t live up to the cost.

For reference I have not seen a single layer hem before on a hoodie even really cheap ones and only once have seen a worse hood even though the shape of that one was better.

As an anime lover/streamer, I wanted to support this cause…

How can I be anymore disappointed. As someone who has been a previous customer, I loved their products and was super excited for my sixth package from them. As most people complain about the long timelines and waiting for their packages, I’ve never had an issue for waiting for their products, especially since they are made to order. What I do have a problem with is trying to tell my side of the story and then the company flagging it. I will put it simply, 1 star, simply for the customer service alone. I really wanted to like supporting this company as many of my other anime/gamer friends love them, but I definitely can’t continue on. Absolutely upsetting.

Bad customer service stops me supporting stitch spring

*Edit Stitch spring flagged my review for defamation, trust pilot restored it.
I don't agree with the company trying to hide opinions of customers simply because they are negative. It backs up my review claiming they hide negative feedback/issues customers have.

I really wanted to love Stitch spring. I had purchased second hand in the past without issues and found the quality great. Ordered from the Chaos drop and the size chart was crazy off. Any comments made on discord discussing sizes were deleted/warned to stop spamming make own sale post. I randomly got booted from both discord servers (ventis vision too) within 10 minutes.
Having social anxiety I dont post often and like to remain invisible so I can 1000% say it was no fault of mine to be removed from the servers. I emailed stitch spring saying im unhappy having open orders with them not being able to see drop updates etc so would like back in the discord or the order cancelled. They tried to make me pay a fee for cancelling. Quickly backtracked when reminded preorders shouldn't have a cancellation fee as no product has been made. They have now refunded my recent ventis vision order and blocked me from purchasing again. The customer service is beyond terrible. I commented on a tic tok video sharing my experience and they reported me for "sexually suggestive content"(i appealed and it got restored) The company produces lovely clothes but I cannot and will not support people with questionable morals. It feels like they do everything they can to cover up negative reviews instead of working with customers to come up with a splution/stop issues happening in the future. This brand had the potential to be amazing but they keep ruining their own reputation. I have seen comments made from mods threatening to report members on discord to get them banned for sharing their opinion. All of this has made me completely give up on wanting to support stitch spring.

They posted a new giveaway on reddit*share a positive review or something* to try cover up the fact so many people had made posts sharing negative reviews. I dont believe its fair business practice to flood false positive reviews and delete/block loyal customers who had concerns. I had purchased 6+ items from stitch spring but will not be purchasing from them again and I'd warn
others to be cautious too.
I seen in the discord there was alot of issues with receiving the wrong sizes/items or packages getting lost and being offered $5-$15 as a solution. No personal experience of that myself but still worth sharing for others.

The very definition of "worth the wait."

Everything was worth the wait and the price. The packaging, the customer service, the quality of the garment, and they even included a few extras in the order.
I ordered the Howl's Moving Castle cardigan for my son and it's his favorite jacket now. The quality is amazing, super soft, and not something you can just get off the rack at the store.
Because their products are ethically made, the shipping did take quite awhile. I ordered the cardigan in November and did not receive it until June, but it worked out because instead of a Christmas present, it ended up being a great birthday gift ^_^.
I'll admit I was nervous waiting, but anytime I got anxious and reached out, customer service was ready to assure me when it would be arriving and that they were working on the order.
I'm actually planning on making an order again. It's much more meaningful to have a unique piece that won't fall apart like the stuff at Hot Topic.

Took forever but everything came as ordered

It took a year for the goods to get here but they are very upfront about their timeline on their website so that was no surprise. Ngl I was super nervous ordering something that would arrive a year later but I’m glad I did! The outfits were well made and exactly as described.

The quality is incredible & more than worth the money

These are some of the nicest items I’ve ever purchased. I’ve bought products in all kinds of price segments and at first I did not believe that what they are claiming on the website is true and the quality rivals luxury brands even though they only charge a fraction of the price. After receiving the items, I can definitely confirm that the quality is actually better than some of the things I got from Gucci. Their embroidery and cotton fabric is absolutely amazing!!! I cannot believe how good these things look IRL.

Horrible company horrible practices

Size charts are off, huge variation of quality between the same product (bought 2 of the shark hoodie in the same size for a friend and one of them has weak pocket attachments and can't be zipped up without fully peeling all of the fabric back, while the other is fine), and goodluck getting anything more than a 5$ courtesy refund despite all of that, got warned on the discord for even trying to have a discussion about my disappointment with these products, the chaos croptop measurements were so off that I got a size 4 sizes below the size i needed according to the size chart and it was still too big. Nobody seems to know what's going on at all.

DO NOT ORDER. SCAM.

Wanted refund considering the package took months (not including the processing / creation time ), took me into the next year to get a response and when I did they ghosted again. Order was shipped out OCT of 2024. They didn't get back to me until JUN of 2025, only to not reply anytime after that. It's currently SEPT of 2025. Yeah, an absolute joke.

Really love stitch spring

Really love stitch spring! The clothing is all hand made and worth the money. I got their arcane inspired fits. The only thing I don’t like is elastic draw strings if I’m paying a hundred bucks I think making them out of actual cloth would probably be easier (made out of scraps)and better. Everything does take awhile to come if you live in America, It took them almost the full 6 months from ordering to when it got to me. Just a week or two short from the full 6 months but it’s worth the wait and what you get with sustainable fashion especially niche things like what they make. The packaging is very nice the clothing is very high quality and looks great.
I wish they would keep things up for longer as I missed out on some drops because didn’t have the money at the time and they vaulted it but I’m hoping bc it’s vaulted it will come back at some point. Anyway, really happy with this brands clothes.

Don’t order from them

Where to start! I waited 8 1/2 months (longer than projected on their site) for my item. The tracking NEVER updated once, one day I got a text from uniuni delivery company (never heard of them) that my package was delivered. I received one of two packages. Even two weeks after the first package was delivered the tracking still didn’t update. The second package showed up with no notice(email or text) and low and behold it was someone else’s order, their order # sticker was on the package next to my shipping sticker. I emails C.S aug 8th about the mix up. Iv received one email a WEEK with no helpful/progressing updates about how to fix their mistake. This is ridiculous amount of time since I brought this issue up. I have asked several questions in a single email only to get unhelpful replies. I’m still waiting on the next email on how to get my actual items a month later. My order was $130 and they offered $20 for every wrong item , which was two even though I received someone’s items (4 pieces) it’s insulting. At this point they need to send me my items free of charge with how long this has been dragging on. The discord is a joke. The mods are unpaid volunteers with no insight to ANYTHING and just say email customer service. They delete people questions they don’t like, ban people who ask too many questions and hide real reviews on all platforms (facebook, IG,website). The one item I did order and received was nice but unprotected embroidery won’t last long. Stay FAR away from this company. Their cheap iron on’s and machine embroidery aren’t worth what they sell them for. Very dodgy business practices.

Placed order in November 2024

Placed order early November 2024. Its now August 2025 and I haven't received my tracking number. Constant emails back and forth assuring me this will be sorted and I am still waiting. This is absolutely terrible.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Poor Service and Dishonest Practices

I really wanted to like Spring Stitch, but my experience has been terrible. They advertise one thing and deliver another. Sizes are consistently wrong, and when you try to bring it up to help others, the moderators delete your comments and even threaten you for speaking the truth.

When orders arrive incorrect, they refuse to make it right. Instead of correcting the issue, they offer only 50% off a future purchase or a measly $7 refund on orders worth hundreds of dollars. That’s completely unacceptable.

What’s worse is they actively hide negative feedback from the public, creating a false image of good service. It’s misleading and dishonest. I would strongly caution anyone considering buying from them—don’t fall for the curated reviews.

Nice item, horrible delivery, color misrepresentation

I ordered Nov 2024. I finally got my order tracking in May 2025 through the Shop app where I purchased. Fast forward to end of July. Tracking number hasn't updated. I contact customer support (which is gmail accounts) and get a completely different tracking number through USPS. It arrived literally a few days later...

The items are nice. BUT my biggest issue is the colors. I know screens can show different colors, but every screen i looked at showed light colors - baby pink and baby blue. The items I got were not even close. They were darker and not even the same color - medium blue and dark peachy pink. And when you're talking about character inspired clothing, colors are kind of important to stay true to the character.

Overall, the quality does seem ok. But it took me eight months to get it. And in the end, the item i was so excited for and willing to wait for was just a big disappointment because the color was completely off. I emailed about this issue and was met with silence. I would not order from again.

Bad Service and Bad quality

I recently received my Chaos Arcane items, having been excited when I initially ordered it. However, as the months dragged on and I did more research into the company, I realized how I knew I'd get disappointed with what I was receiving... and I was right. Overall, the Ekko denim jacket didn't feel like denim at all, and some hard, scratchy polyester material. The designs on the jacket were also heat pressed onto the jacket, and the embroidered designs were sloppy. One of them, I couldn't even tell what the symbol it was. Now onto the Ekko tshirt that I added onto my order.... It was a hard cotton material. It wasn't soft like I was expecting from a 100% cotton tshirt. I know because I had started a small tshirt business where I ordered high-quality cotton tshirts to get my art designs on them. Finally, the Jinx cardigan.... that one was the biggest disappointment. While I enjoyed the embroidery for the designs, the embroidery itself was so sloppy that there were some strings that were long and left uncut. Don't know if that was design choice or not, but it doesn't work well when the thread itself is a thin and fraying type of thread. Even hand washing this would be a nightmare. Same issue with the "x's" over some parts of the garment. They can easily snag on items and the fact that the thread easily frays doesn't make it easy to wear out and actually enjoy wearing it without being worried it'll get damaged. There was also no inside layer to the jacket so you can see the embroidered mess on the inside of the jacket... Overall, the quality was a letdown. Finally, customer service. I had joined their discord to which I only found out why the package took longer through their discord. They didn't send out an email to the buyers/customers letting them know the issues or that their packages will arrive well later than expected. What's worse is that when I was helping another woman on there who didn't receive any other updates besides that the item had shipped (not even info if it was out of China yet) she was met with a rude response by the MOD who dismissed her issue as a non issue. But when you have little to no information of tracking the package, you should be making sure that customer is getting the attention they need to sort if out. Then when she pointed out that the company had a lazy business model that didn't prioritize the consumer, she got verbally attacked and inundated with messages by the members in that group. I stepped in to help pointing out I had similar issues and that people on there to help were rude and not helpful. We hadn't hurled any bad words towards those people, but those people had to us. And it was a huge let down to know a company would let the person working for them join in on inundating us with messages, shaming us, and defending the business. It's almost like they can't take criticism or accountability for their shortcomings. I even tried to reach out to the main account to tell them what went down in the Discord but was ignored. To me they are trying to cover up the negative reviews to keep sales up. Their business practices are sketchy and don't honor the customers. I will NEVER be buying from them again after buying almost $200 worth of clothing that will get ruined and damaged even after being careful after a few days of wear. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE if you value transparency etc.

AVOID

Ordered a cardigan over a year ago which came after many months with overall decent quality (weak stitching though) after this put in a preorder in April and hadn't heard back until three months later when they presumably lied to me about having no "stock" for my item, tried to get a refund which was refused and haven't heard back from them since. AVOID THIS COMPANY predatory business model and extremely long waits.

Everything the other 1-star reviews day Is true

Everything the other 1-star reviews say is completely true. I ordered the Arcane hoodie in XXL, but when I checked my order, it showed size S. I toght something felt off, but I tried to trust the process and contacted customer service the same day I placed the order. They told me it was already too late to make any changes. How is that possible when I reached out immediately? Very disappointing experience.

Honestly have had the worst experience…

Honestly have had the worst experience with them. At first I got an email saying the item I ordered didn't pas the quality check and I needed to wait longer which was fine. I waited about 2 months before I reached out to customer service, they where very unhelpful at first not giving me any idea about how long it still was gonna take. When it was finally ready, they so called didn't have my info anymore and I needed to resend it so they could send me a tracking code. After then finally receiving my tracking code and package after 4 months extra it turned out they send the wrong size I orderd an L and got an S. Contact customer support again and after complaining for quite a bit they where only willing to resolve this by refunding 50% of the product since everything is custom made. They initiated the so called refund which would take 2 to 7 business days. Immediately after I received an email saying that due to a glitch in their system the refund was mistakenly initiated twice and if I could pay them the double refund back. I told them I was willing to do so after I saw the refund on my account this is about month ago. I till this day have not received any refund. So basically they were trying to get me to pay more money instead of helping me out with issue they created.

Given long shipping times and big…

Given long shipping times and big promises I was very suspect at first however after 6 months my order has arrived and I am very very happy.

The quality of everything is high, it feels like it has been made with care and attention. The small details on each item (I got a Monkey Bomb Variety Jacket and a T shirt) are all very good quality.

The price of each item can seem steep in a world of fast fashion but you very much get above and beyond what you pay for.

It's not the sort of thing I will splash out on every time, however I would say if you are willing to wait and care about quality in your merch Stitch Spring are definitely worth it.

It's a scam!

I have never written a negative review.
I ordered a jacket the first of November 2024 and paid for it. It was supposed to arrive in April. I still don't have it and they won't refund my money. EIGHT MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't buy from this company!!
