UPDATE: Well, I finally got this issue resolved! Apparently, one of the problems was that HP wasn't getting my emails. I just don't know/understand why that was happening. Eventually, a r... See more

What a shame for a returning business…
What a shame for a returning business customer...
i have an HP laptop (that had a glitch with the screen many years ago and was promised, it turns out falsely, that this would be resolved ANYTIME in the future... subsequently that promise to fix the screen is now forgotten and historic messages deleted very conveniently !! so the promise to fix was finally changed to an offer of 20% refund on the next purchase, this then turned into less than 10% and a £120 cash back voucher on the out of warranty program. i tried to complain in numerous ways but was told no way to complain.)
so have now bought a new machine Zbook and 3 year service pack... (applied for the cash back deal and trade in deal, and have sent in the out of warranty voucher too) machine arrived and passed to my IT guy to prepare machine for use. today (a week from purchase) HP send an email to say the 3 year cover plan i bought for £125 is now added for free to a Zbook purchase.
i called to ask for the cost, therefore to be VERY SIMPLY; refunded back to me as i have the order in the last 21 days and looked to HP to honour the Price promise but they say a technical point means it doesn't qualify and so to get the new 3 year care for free the only way to do this is to send back the machine, cancel current cover... and then buy again.
i spoke to live chat to confirm this and also the telephone team - the guy i spoke with was superb and said he will refer to a manager and look to respond in more detail once he sought clarification.
sadly the management decision is; tough luck.
so the way to look to a new care pack option is to send back the machine and get full refund and then buy again.
i will explain the negatives to this in a moment, and for now the simple 'work-around' that would have avoided the reputational damage to HP... simply have an ability to refund the care pack cost as a gesture of good will. there will be a manager with the mandate to do this, sadly my custom doesn't warrant this much respect, and so not offered.
i have now simply cancelled the 3 year cover - i wanted to have because i do not see why it is fair that i would be offered it today but now last week. i can't look to send back the machine because i would lose the out of warranty voucher... the other negatives on your solution of refund and re-order... it is terrible for the business of HP, because the old machine will cost money to HP, and i am happy with the machine. the packaging and energy use to make the machine is wasted, it is another delivery going back and forward in the world, another load of resources used up without need.. petrol of delivery, all the plastics used! all of this is detrimental to my time, to HP's bottom line and thus shareholders, it causes you reputational damage on here, i am left with a machine that doesn't have the cover i wanted because it would be unpalatable to pay for cover that is now offered for free.
if only there was a management team that understood all of this and had the brain to be able to resolve. instead i get a corporate response. the response is not adequate. is not well thought out, hurts my business, hurts HP and the shareholders and so i call it out; as pathetic.
imagine a world where you went to a firm that actually cares about the client. oh that's right ... i do because i run one.
if you wish to make it right... simply contact me to offer the service pack that you offer for Zbook customers; for free ... for free to me. SO SIMPLE.
Company ignores plea for support
I have been messaging HP support for a laptop repair, however an agent transferred me and I have not been in contact with another for a week, they are ignoring me!
CORRUPT COMPANY!!
CORRUPT COMPANY!!!
Six times now I have had a faulty printer, HP CRM department just ignore you, after technical pass it over.
They also say you only have 1 years warranty, and totally ignore the consumer rights act! because they are above the law.
HP is an absolute joke of a company, and will not look in to any complaints. HP has cost me well over £3000 from weeks of not being able to works as cannot print.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I have ordered a new laptop and the one delivered is a faulty one (unable to turn on), I notified the company the same day and raised the complaint. it is now almost 2 weeks still waiting for the replacement

Terribly disappointed me about their product and then customer service.
I bought hp laptop for £575, on 1st of May 2024. The laptop's hinge got broken, without any accident. Now when I contacted them and informed them about this, they are asking me to pay £375 for repair. Don't know how they asking me for money, if their laptop got broken within 9 months.
I will never ever buy any of their product anless I get it repaired. And also advice other to get cautious about hp product.
Purchased laptop in January had an…
Purchased laptop in January had an issue from the beginning. Had to be repaired, returned with a scratch on the screen. Apparently I can send back again to be repaired, why would I? What damage will it come back with then?Customer Service dreadful spent half my life chasing these past few weeks, refusing to give me a replacement. My advise, avoid.
Update 11/4/2025.
Eventually received a response when this issue was escalated. Apparently the scratch on the screen was not there when it left HP so they will fix at a cost even though it was free previously. The initial mouse problem still exists and I'm getting the run around trying to get it sorted. The Customer Service is unbelievable, they usually call you back quite quickly but they have a ploy of of either cutting you off or putting you on hold so long you get fed up then your call disappears down some black hole. I reiterate the above do not buy from these guys they are beyond annoying.
All perfect, good price, excellent service
In the last week I have placed two orders on the HP Store Web site, each dealt with perfectly. The first order was for an Elite desktop. I also wanted to buy a 45” curved screen as there was a 20% discount if ordered with the desktop. Unfortunately, these were out of stock. A few days later I rechecked and they were back in stock and my discount code still worked so I saved nearly £200. Both orders arrived almost next day. Never had a problem with HP.
I’d love to leave a positive review of the products on the webs site but that function appears to be missing.
I bought a HP cartridge from amazon…
I bought a HP cartridge from amazon which i have done for the last 5 years. No issues. On this occasion the printer cartridge was incompatible. when i raised thsi with HP they said it was counterfeit, but would send out a new one to me. as i had bought the cartridge more than 3 months, i could not return to amazon.
they promised to send me a new one, but have since decided to not deal with my complaint adequatley. its now 6 weeks on! terrible service
Avoid HP. Not worth the hassle.
I have an extended warranty for my HP Laptop, and the service I’ve received has been shocking. My laptop developed a hinge issue after just 5 weeks of ownership and was sent for repair. It came back damaged with dents and scratches, and the same hinge issue was still present. I sent it back again, and after two months, it returned with even more damage and the same problem.
Eventually, HP offered a replacement, but after only 11 months, the motherboard failed. When I requested a refund, HP’s representative, Rabaa Saidi, closed my case and told me to raise a new ticket for the issues they caused. They also offered another repair and a £100 HP voucher. Why would I give them another chance to cause further damage? And what good is a voucher from a company that can’t deliver a reliable product? They continue to hide behind their terms and conditions and couldn’t justify their actions under UK consumer rights and law.
HP is no longer the company it once was. I’ve had multiple laptops and printers from them in the past and, as an IT professional, recommended them without hesitation—no longer.
Avoid.
Super Quick; Super Easy; HP Printer
I bought an HP Envy printer the other day online, it arrived the next day and I had a text to tell me when it would be delivered in good time. It was so easy to install and set up (I have had trouble in the past) and was connected to print from both phone and laptop in super quick time. I have saved so much money in ink (I also enrolled on the Instant Ink programme) and am well pleased all round.
Poor after-sales service and support…
I've had HP PCs for years with no issues. Now, on my <12 month old PC, I've had the internal plastic on 2 USB ports pull out of the PC itself, getting stuck in my external cords and making my USB ports unusable with exposed contacts. HP support will not cover this under warranty and has implied the damage is from inserting devices improperly - which I would understand if it was the case - but it is not. I am always careful and this issue has only arisen when removing a correctly inserted device from the PC. Disappointing service.
Awful service form the support team
Awful service form the support team. very hard to get hold of, refusing to provide me with their complaints procedure. Paid for the extended warranty for extra peace of mind, enacted a warranty claim over 3 weeks ago, 3 failed engineer visits to repair and replace the hard drive and I'm still waiting. don't bother with HP avoid them at all costs.
Faulty laptop they won’t cover repair
Bought a laptop 12 weeks ago, delivery was prompt. The screen pen doesnt work, it doesn’t connect despite us trying all the help tutorials. Then when I pushed the lid open to put it in standup position the screen went off? Now won’t power up at all. On inspection there are some tiny wires poking out of one of the hinges so my suspicion is when the lid has been moved something has maybe trapped one of the loose wires? I spoke to technical support, lovely lady took pictures of it and sent off for review. She’s just called me back the next day as promised but to say they’re not covering it under warranty as it’s caused by client damage and so we’ll have to pay for repairs. I’m so upset it was a lot of money, it’s been so well looked after and because it’s poorly made I have to pay for the repair? The wires should never be hanging out in the first place if that’s is even what’s causing it not to work? Lady was lovely to speak with on the phone but sounds like she’s being told what they are and aren’t willing to do. I can’t afford repairs or new laptop so now I’m hundreds of pounds out of pocket and no laptop which is desperately needed for work.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
HP used to be the best computers and service. I have had them for many years for myself and the family. Mine recently died, so I went online for a new one. The have always been delivered the next day via courier. Oh no, not this time. It was sent Parcelforce. It arrived at the local depot at 5.30am on the Friday morning. Despite Parcelforce website saying it was Express 24 it was delivered Monday! Meaning I lost work and business. On complaining to HP they insisted they did not do 24hr delivery. Despite my sending them the invoice and the parcel label both of which state 24hr, continue to deny they provide this service! How can you deny it when the evidence is there? So much so they have implied that I am a liar. I don't think so. The Head Office are incredibly rude and ignorant in no response at all. HP have very obviously gone downhill and quite honestly deserve to go out of business the way they treat their customers. They need to remember that its customers and businesses who keep them in a job!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Sent a faulty printer different to one ordered
Sent a different printer to the one ordered. It's faulty but all I get from support after hours of waiting and re-entering my details and printer details and repeating descriptions of the fault is 'switch it off and on again'. This works but not something I should have to do every time I need to use it. Also seems to be fake reviews on HP site because as a customer I don't have the option to add a review there and the difference is clear between the reviews on this site and those on HP's site.
This is after my old HP printer mysteriously developed an unfixable fault with the ink dispenser (on Instant Ink) just a few weeks after support expired for the model. I was encouraged to buy this new replacement instead
Useless Customer Service
In October 2024 I ordered an item but cancelled an hour later after as I found it cheaper somewhere else I was promised a refund never heard anything till I complained on January the 10th I was promised a replacement and given a case number and never hear anything till I rang again on the the 23rd January 2025 I was on the phone for an hour spoke to seven people who kept telling I got the wrong department said they would transfer me only to put me back in the que you cant send emails and it takes more then an hour to get through to them in the end my bank got me the refund I will never use this company ever again
Awful printer
I bought an Envy 6400 series printer and its the worst printer i have ever had, its never worked properly and even now with the diagnostics its telling me to replace the printer! Its always offline unless i use diagnostics i have always used hp cartridges and they always have had issues with missing ink, at the moment although the cartridge was new a couple of weeks ago its no longer printing black even when its 3/4s full! Doctor software hasn't fixed it or the virtual assistant. I fully regret not chasing them up from the start when it was like it as it has never been right from the off.
Terrible and a threat to my business
I've had an absolutely terrible experience purchasing an HP computer for my business. Having previously used HP on the continent and been impressed by their excellent customer service, I was shocked by the appalling service from HP UK. The incompetence and complete lack of response regarding a high-value order is astounding. This experience has been so bad that I will never use HP again and will be switching to another provider for my company's needs
Absolutely dreadful post-sales experience
Absolutely dreadful experience trying to get some post-sales Customer Support for days now, via all available options.
Chatbot - AI only, programmed with standard Q&As but unable to provide product set-up support and unable to connect to an agent.
Phone - tried twice... pressed lots of buttons, none offering technical support to help set up my new laptop. Asked to speak with an agent, then after hearing "We are now connecting you with an agent", was cut off.
Called back and selected an option for a call-back from an agent, but received a text with a link to an online help request. Other than an automatic confirmation of my request I heard nothing further until getting an email 4 days later, saying: "You have an open case for your HP OmniBook X 14 inch Laptop AI PC 14-fe0000 (9L6E4AV) with Serial Number 8CG4381291 for which you have not contacted HP customer service yet. In case you still need support with your consumer unit, please go to support.hp.com and select the Contact Us option. Make sure to provide your case ID to the customer service team. If no action is taken within 1 business day, we assume you do not wish to continue with this support request and will automatically close this case. Thank you for your understanding. This is an automatically generated email, please do not reply."
Then found a WhatsApp option on the website. Took over an hour and a half (the agent said they were unable to offer a phone conversation, but quoted the Customer Service number that I'd failed to get help from twice 4 days ago), and in the end, sent me a massive list of technical instructions (half I which I didn't understand) before advising that I go to a local computer shop.
I really don't understand why an organisation the size and reputation of HP make it so hard to speak to a helpful human who can help customers with their products. It's honestly the kind of thing that could have been dealt with in 15-or-so minutes on a phone-call, and customer goes away having had a positive experience and recommending the business to others.
I suppose they've made the sale, got their money, and that's all they're really interested in.
Don't customers deserve better?
Liars and incompetents
The staff lied repeatedly. Did not return calls. Did not respond to emails. They only reacted to THE LETTER BEFORE COURT ACTION. A disreputable company with incompetent and lying staff.
