Quick delivery and in plenty of time…

Quick delivery and in plenty of time for my son’s birthday! He’s going to be made up with it! Well packaged too, will definitely be ordering again! Very impressed at the prices, some of the cheapest I’ve seen online when it comes to American items!

Don't waste your money

Don't waste your money, I bought a 'large' American candy variety box which cost me £35 and got very few items for the price. I dread to think how much you get in a small or standard sized box. Would recommend purchasing from other retailers as my partner has recieved a lot more items for less money elsewhere.

You purchased an American large mystery box for £33.99, and used a 10% discount code, and therefore paid £30.59 for the box.

The box contained 15 items - and as outlined on email to you, totalled £34.24 if purchased separately on our website, saving you £3.65.

We change our mystery boxes frequently, and although the contents of your box were more than if you had purchased separately, we do appreciate that when purchasing a mystery box, some customers may not be aware of the increased cost of American goods vs UK goods. It is, however, our most popular item on our website.

As a gesture of goodwill when you complained via email prior to writing this review, we offered to refund the box on receipt of its return, but you declined this offer.

All emails were replied to promptly, so we are sorry you felt the need to write a negative review in this context.

We hope you enjoyed your products in any case, and wish you the best.

Me and my partner are obsessed

Me and my partner are obsessed!
We have been wanting to try some American snacks for a while but didn’t want to pay the ridiculous prices that are around central London and oh my were we impressed! The prices are great, website is so easy to use and the selection is crazy! We placed our first order and as soon as it came we was already adding items into the basket for the next order! Will definitely be placing more orders 😊

I really don’t want to hate at all but…

I really don’t want to hate at all but I was really disappointed with this box as most things inside I can get from my local corner shop and a lot of it just doesn’t taste right it might just be a bad one time experience but if I were to order another mystery box it probably wouldn’t be from sugar box because of this experience that being said delivery was very quick and packaging is good

Terrible company

I placed my first order with the company and although delivery was incredibly quick most of the items were damaged. I had ordered 3 butter beers all glass bottles were packed together and have obviously knocked against each other in transit. The box was so wet with the contents that Royal Mail had to cover it in plastic and zip tie it. The bag the bottles were in was full of broken glass. One was definitely broken and i wasnt about to put my hand in the bag to check the others. I certainly wasnt going to give them to the children that they were purchased for. I emailed the company at the email which seems to be the email they give out to anyone who's left a negative review. I recieved one response about confirming how badly damaged the items were. I replied and explained that I wasn't going to risk cutting myself to check and the company has stopped responding. Would not reccomend and I certainly won't be using them again.

Update.
Since leaving the above review I was contacted by the company explaining they had been closed during the festive period. This was my error and why I thought my emails were being ignored. I have since also been refunded for the damaged items so I am pleased with that. That said I still wouldn't use the company again, but I'm happy with the resolution they offered.

As a company, we do not have a requirement to check all damaged items from customers emails, but I can appreciate on this occasion with broken glass involved it is difficult to provide full photographic evidence.

I understand our customer service team have refunded the items involved. My apologies once again for the frustration with the broken items, and we wish you the very best.

Definitely not worth the money

Definitely not worth the money. Only came with about 6 or 7 items (2 or 3 which were tiny sweets) in the mystery box even though the picture on the website had 9 items. I have bought Japanese snack boxes elsewhere for the same price and has come with a lot more. I will not be purchasing from here again

Hi , I ordered some American sugar free mints , one tub being candy cane flavour 😋, very nice and also some cookies.
They were packed well and arrived safely, will be ordering more from here

Returned without Zagnut bars :(

As an occasional visitor to the USA, I discovered their Zagnut bars while waiting to fly back to the UK...and instantly fell in love with them. So, whenever I go back to the USA I always bring some home with me. But on my most recent visit to Detroit, I couldn't find any anywhere, not in the city stores, not at Wayne County Airport, and not even at JFK airport while waiting for my connecting flight!

When I got back home to Wales UK, I found that Sugar Box UK stocked them, and are the only stockists who were not charging a ridiculous amount for postage. I would have liked to order maybe 8 or 12 bars but got limited to 4, which was a little disappointing... But 4 was more than I could get during my trip!

Price of the bars was reasonable and delivery charge was standard UK price, so I was happy with that. As for the delivery itself, they only took a few days to arrive, so well within the delivery time stated when ordering. Bars arrived in a box to protect them and all 4 were intact, which was great because they are quite easy to smash into pieces!

And after some email correspondence with Sugar Box UK it was explained that quantity of bars is limited when ordering due to availability and restocking, which is perfectly understandable as they have to import the Zagnut bars from the US. And I think it's fair that limited numbers are available for each order, to make sure that other customers don't miss out. As I said before, 4 Zagnuts are better than NO Zagnuts.

Based on my experience and correspondence with Tom at Sugar Box UK, I am very happy to give a 5-star review, and I will be ordering from Sugar Box UK in the future.

Great products/terrible customer service …

I used to love this company and have placed a couple of orders with them. In my last delivery a few of the drinks cans were dented and dinked, they were clearly packed already slightly damaged so I complained upon receipt as my son loves collecting the cans. They were less than helpful. I wasn’t expecting replacement cans to be posted but a credit on account for my next order would’ve been sufficient.
Sadly we only find out that some companies are terrible when we have cause to complain. I likely won’t use them again just because of this incident. Should have handled it better than a reply email effectively saying too bad!

2 stars more than fair.

Apparently the reason I didn't get my order on time, is, out of stock, even though it was in stock online? the non existent email they sent to me, explaining this, went to my junk/spam box, No it did not!
I ordered only a few items as my first order, just to test their website and customer situ, I did get a refund on my postage after chasing via email,, 8 days later I get the items, I bar damaged, looks like it melted, then bent. Never again, my Xmas order will go to a better company.

children's mystery box times 2

Ordered the children's mystery box times 2 but really disappointed in how they arrived. Bags were open and sweets were scattered all over the box. One of the little tubs of tongue painters was also open and scattered around the box. I don't know what I'll do with what I have but they won't be going to my niece and nephew for their Christmas.
