Why are you sending me a survey when no one has reached out to help me?

At this point, I’ve got the cameras packed into the same shipping box and I’m just going to send them back to you and go through Visa to get my money back.

Called for tech assistance

Called for tech assistance, phone call advised to send an email, took 1 week for response. Absolutely awful customer service. Find me any customer that needs help a week after calling for tech support and I’ll buy into your bullshit. Just say you’re collapsing as a company without saying it. Never again will I buy a Swann product. Eat shit.

Customer service just UNAVAILABLE !!

Customer service just UNAVAILABLE !!! It’s infuriating to pay close to $1000 for something and not be able to get help without paying for it. It took over 10 days for an email to be answered. TEN !! Absurd. Great product but would concern better if the consumer had some help with issues.
I ended up purchasing a new system for $800 only to have to send it back because it was a monitor issue in the end. We are not all electronic geeks.

We can confirm that there is an active ticket linked to your refund request, and we’ve already sent a response following your initial email along with the return instructions a day after. Refunds are generally processed within 7–14 business days once the returned item has been received and inspected at our warehouse.

Unhelpful Customer Services Team (but great cameras in the end)

*Update* - Managed to source the system we were after and the system works wonderfully on our rural property. Easy to install, the range is as described, the solar panels charge the cameras well and the picture quality is great.

Contacted Swann as I am in New Zealand and wish to purchase their MaxTrack system, however JBHiFi have removed it from their website, no-where else in NZ stocks it and the Australian suppliers do not ship to NZ.
I was told to go to Bunnings - they do not stock this system so I replied stating this, the reply to this was again telling me to go to Bunnings. I replied again saying they do not stock it. Was then told to go to JBHiFi, to which I referred them to my initial email stating they do not have this on their website. I then received another exceptionally unhelpful email stating that they don't control supplier websites (what??).
All in all a very frustrating and unhelpful experience and it looks like we will be purchasing another brand because there is no logical answer to enable purchasing it.

That kind of back-and-forth isn’t the experience we want anyone to have when they’re simply trying to purchase a product.

To clarify, we don’t have direct shipping from our side into New Zealand, as we don’t operate a dedicated local warehouse there. Because of that, availability is handled through regional retail partners, and unfortunately stock levels and listings can vary between them, which is outside of our control.

We’re genuinely sorry again that you were directed to options that didn’t help in your situation. That shouldn’t have left you feeling stuck or unheard.

If you’re still considering the system, it may be worth checking other electronics retailers in New Zealand, as some do occasionally carry or source our products. We know that’s not an ideal answer, and we understand why you’re feeling let down.

So far the best wireless solar camera I bought. The range coverage is outstanding.

I think this company should explore outdoor based range extenders which the hub/base station & and the camera can connect to. Which will again increase the already long range to a longer range coverage.

Swann Lies

Your website states that this camera is compatible with the 5860 DVR. That is a lie. It is absolutely NOT compatible. I spent three days trying to get the motion detection working but never could get it to work. Finally, I ordered another Swann camera from Amazon (that had accurate reviews and information) that worked as soon as I connected it. I have requested a refund but have been completely ignored. You should be ashamed of lying to your customers and your extremely poor customer service.

Support experience is poor

Purchased a house with an existing Swann security camera system.

I contacted support via telephone as cannot pair my device to the system as previous owner did not unpair it.

Told me to send email with details so they can fix this.

I did this and then they emailed back asking that I pay for a subscription which I arranged.

Swann then sent a further email asking for a statutory declaration.

Absolute joke of a company! Why not just ask for that in first place?!!!!

useless

useless. don't bother wasting your time with swann. So keen to take money and then show you the middle finger. Brought 2 lots of 3 wireless cameras. I paid £500 for them. 4 of them wouldn't charge so i emailed them and also tried to call but got no help. finaly after 3 days i got a reply and saying they don;t do solar panels to my cameras even though they sell the cameras. They said to try the brackets which cost be £25 each. guess what still nothing. Don't waste your money or time on this company

I have six of your cameras on my system…

I have six of your cameras on my system now, of 4 different kinds, and was happy until I bought a EVO from you, this is a Turkey. Combining motion and person on a % is a stupid idea and renders this device useless for external use in all but the most benign of applications because it is not possible to mask vegetation moving in the wind unless it is within about 5 feet because the effective range , (after masking), is reduced to that distance as the % has to be reduced to less than 40. I have had to re-task this camera as a low level porch camera, so low it can be grabbed hold of and nobbled.
The design of this camera is flawed, I am very disappointed.

Product quality is unacceptable

Went to hook up a cable to the camera and the connector broke in my hand befor even securing it down. Support is a joke unless you have a paid subscription. No telling what kind of hoops I'll have to jump through to get a piece of faulty equipment returned (and there is no repairing the part as it broke at a press in place fitting).

So been happy with the DVR product. I choosed to purchase the swann over the dual band ring on grounds of integration.
So purchased directly only to find that had to wait a week.I installed it
Had a couple of goes before it worked. Only to find out it's single band WiFi but it works & integrates into the remote monitoring well
Went to buy another for the rear door so checked Amazon & it's was £20 & next day disappointed.will not trust email offers of false representation.
