Scammers!!

I can't believe that such a large dealership could scam their clients the way that they have. All I can say is that the consumer is lucky the have since closed otherwise there would be more victims of fraud about. Since buying my car from them 3 months ago it has been one issue after another, always giving them the benefit of the doubt but now i have realised that they amended my finance agreement after I had already signed and amended my warranty period, effectively pocketing the difference. Unlike many other complainants I will not just take the hit and am pursuing legal action. The fact that their CEO has been employed as the new companies COO means this could continue to go on. Many similar complaints on the web.

Good pre-sale, but get everything resolved before purchase

Spoke to Adam and Sonny when looking at the car, really good service and very helpful. Several niggles with the car, broken seat cover, paint scratch to the rear wing, hole in the rear interior door panel, scratches to the rear interior door. Agreed all would be sorted when we collected the car.
Went to collect the car, at an agreed time, and had to wait three-quarters of an hour as they were still valeting it.
Got the car and only the exterior scratches had been fixed, which we had to pay £80 for. All the other items needed more time and we'd have to book the car in to get them fixed.
So two days later we chased them up to get a date, and was told the issue had been passed to their service department and they would be in touch. Three weeks later we contacted them to ask about a date, they replied to say the email had been passed to the Service Department and they would be in touch.
Four weeks later still heard nothing so emailed them again, no reply this time.
Three months after the purchase have tried to contact them about the repairs and cannot get through, end of.
So, if they're still trading, get everything done before you take delivery otherwise they're not interested.

Very quick to do a sale but very poor after care!!

Very quick to do a sale but very poor after care!
You would be lucky if you can get them to answer the phone never mind reply to an email. Especially the managers.
Our car had issues only days after having it, had to chase up for weeks/hours to get only part of the work done! Work still outstanding And guess what, no answer on the phone or emails!
Use this company with caution, and do not fall for the 'award winning service'.

The worst ever company

The worst ever company. I bought the car from them and they handed with 2 keys, later I have discovered that one key was not from my car. When I called them they want me to believe that the car had only one key. But when I collected the car all the details was provided to me including 2 keys. They told me to arrange with a company ,which they recommend, to get the second key and they will pay after I will send the invoice. I sent all the details and nobody reply to my emails or to answer to my calls. They just change all the information and then just vanish.
Not enough to have a nice location, customer service is ZERO!!!!! once you get the car ,it's done!

Love my car, terrible customer service.

I'm really happy with the car I purchased, however the service is appalling. I paid around £250 for a full service only to have an engine light go on 10 days later to say an oil change is due (last time I checked I'm pretty certain this was part of a full service) as well as the washer fluid running out (more easily fixed, however again if they've not topped this up as part of the service how can I be sure they've done anything apart from take my money?). I've been in contact multiple times now to try and get this resolved, however each time I'm asked whether someone can ring me back, and guess what? they never do.

Nice car, average service

Whilst the car was as described, and the staff were enthusiastic, there are some significant areas to improve:
1. They forgot to give me my driving license back, and then lost it.
2. When I asked where it was they advised they'd put it in the post, even though they knew I was picking the car up the next day. This was then passed off as [words to the effect of] " we have thousands of customers, we can't be expected to remember all of them all". This answer was also the one given to a couple of other, unrelated, questions. It's impersonal and not a good one.
3. They admitted they forget to give driving licenses back "a lot" and laughed it off as a normal thing.
4. The pick up appointment was put back as the car hadn't been valeted. On collection it was clear the boot hadn't been done.
5. I was requested to pick the car up from the main branch. But, on arrival I was directed to the Werrington branch. When I queried why I was advised that it was always supposed to have been the Werrington branch. This was despite me showing them the paperwork clearly displaying Peterborough.

I had booked a car Toyota Prius with…

I had booked a car Toyota Prius with finance approved and ready to collect, the sales team pressurized me to reserve the car for 500gbp (although website mentions only 200 required) the pick up date and time was confirmed on Thursday 23rd at 1300 and I made my journey from home which took 3.5 hrs after making all arrangement with car insurance with 1 week notice but car was not ready ( the manager calls me 5 mins before arrival to showroom that car was not ready) and further I was already there so hence visited but more surprises as the car was totally in deplorable condition such as : broken mirror ,almost broken window glass and further the car was advertised as in good condition but had plenty of scratch marks and dirty upholstery inside :stained heavily on the roof all over.the s eat had a hole etc
They wanted me to drive car and purchase although they offered to fix them at later date which I had to refuse.
No one apologized for all the inconvenience and the monies wasted so far and they promptly did the refund of reservation money without any compensation .
I tried to speak to someone above the manager but the receptionist mentions that he was the boss and there was no options to make a complaint and she suggested me to write it on trust pilot to share my experience.
I would never visit this place or suggest anyone for the way they have treated a customer and surely they need to learn to respect their customers in future.

What is not to like?

What is not to like?
I had been looking for a Mazda CX5 Sport for some while now, pestering our local Mazda dealerships and pouring over Autotraders website on a daily basis. My wife, who is much more patient than I am carried out a thorough trawl of the web and found the perfect car for me at SW Car Supermarket.
I made the initial call to see if it was still available, it was, so I put my £100 holding deposit on it there and then, arranging to visit on the 4th September to view the car.
At the showrooms we were met by Rav Verdi...great guy, super friendly, and not the usual pushy sort of person you associate with the motor trade...in fact none of the people we met were what you would call typical motor trade sales people.
Well, the car was perfect, a week later after it had undergone it's PDI and a service it was delivered to my doorstep.
Happy? I haven't stopped smiling since it arrived!
Thank you Rav. and thank you SW Car Supermarket, a great team offering great cars!

DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE
Awful company with no customer service whatsoever. I bought a Honda civic from them in May... I am still waiting for them to fix my air conditioning leak that they left unchecked and unfixed when they sold the car to me. It is now September, I have had multiple conversations with people including management, customer service and even their own garage team and yet still here I am with a leak and it has been 2 weeks since I last heard from them even after sending two follow up emails.
I'd advise not buying your car from this place, all I have had is problems with the car and no one is willing to fix it. They keep trying to shove me off to someone else instead of taking responsibility and fixing a mistake they made before I even picked the car up.

I had the most amazing experience with…

I had the most amazing experience with Carworld Westwood branch Peterborough. I was greeted by Eve (she was very welcoming) and went in to look at a Clio but ended up leaving with a Ford Focus instead. I then had Zish who went through all the car details and finance details with me and he was very attentive and informative. I then had to go to the business manager and he was extremely helpful and outgoing. I would 100% recommend this branch because my experience overall was A1.

Looked at a car yesterday

Looked at a car yesterday. Salesman very helpful. But could not find keys to the car .Then it wouldn't start flat battery. It was filthy inside and out. I made the mistake of putting a deposit on the vehicle and when I got home I regretted it. Phoned to cancel it and was told no refund. The Salesman I dealt with was really helpful but he is working in the wrong place. Wouldn't ever buy a car from them even if it was £4000 under market value.

Good experience!

I wanted an Audi A1 so I visited the SW cars in Werrington and I had a lot of guidance from both Josh and Serkan they took their time to make sure I was happy with the vehicle I wanted to purchase! They was both very helpful and I can’t wait to receive my new car!

“Off you pop”

Been to SW Peterborough branch twice to look at a car.

2nd time, visited to test drive after having a think and unfortunately the car was not suitable or what we expected.

The salesperson brought the car round to the front, revving the stone cold engine and speeding and slowing harshly.

After thanking the salesperson for their time and for the drive, we politely explained that the car was not what we expected and this obviously upset the salesperson.

The salesperson piped up and explained how we should have known it would be a step down from the current car we have, and didn’t accept our opinions. My partner was then told to ‘enjoy the rest of his day with his “lovely lady”’ and we were told “off you pop”. Safe to say we will not be going back here.

If I could give them less than 1 I would

Bought a car on the Friday...had an engine fault by the Monday...Problem with the turbo. I phoned...took 30 min for them to answer to be told I could bring it in 16 days for them to have a look at it!!!
I took it in and asked for my money back...their website says you have 7 days to change your mind...I was told they would not give my money back but will repair it...so that promise is a pile of rubbish!!!!
I have contacted Trading Standards who disagree with them...I will be taking this further!
They also can't tell me how long it will take to even look at it...and have no courtesy cars.
I wish i had looked at the poor reviews on after sales service before buying...

2018 VW Golf

Visited to view a 2018 VW Golf, was happy with the vehicle so reserved it. They had an interim service done, gave some money back for a bit of damage on the rear bumper and conducted an MOT. We went to collect 5 days later. The front tyres were balding on the outer edge, which I mentioned during the viewing, I thought it would have failed the MOT because of it but they were on the limit so an advisory. I questioned this during the collection. After a brief, friendly discussion they agreed to change them then and there. So after 40 minutes, with new front tyres fitted, we drove away with the car. All good.

Worst car dealership I have every dealt with

So where do I start..... Like another customer said do your research first before buying a car from a main dealer ship negative feedback is there for a reason to highlight issues with a company and I have had plenty with this one.

I have never had any issues buying a car until I brought from this company. I spoke to the sales team to enquire about a car and said I would be paying the bulk of the car off by credit card and the rest by cash. I was told as long as the card wasn't Amex it wouldn’t be a problem. I confirmed the card I had and was told it was fine. I paid a deposit on the car and made arrangements for it to be collected..

The collections team are the only department who I found very helpful.

When I went to pay for the car I was told they can't take more than £500 from a credit card over the phone or in person and said I needed to do a bank transfer. I had to do a money transfer from my credit card which cost me an additional £219. I was not told about the he £500 limit and if I was I would have not brought from this garage.

So the car was collected by a transport company and delivered to me as I am a few hours away. I didn't test drive the car but was told there was no issues. The only advisory on the car was a small crack in the windscreen which I asked to get gel filled.

The car arrives and looks emaculate inside and out so I was over the moon. I drove the car less than 5 miles when the EML came on. When the car got over 55mph there was a loud noise coming from the front offside wheel which sounded like a wheel bearing going. The AC didn't work and the crack in the screen wasn't gel filled.

I contacted the garage immediately and told them about the EML. They said I would have to take it to a garage to get a quote on the faults but to not get it fixed. I went to a local garage who confirmed there were two faults linked to the DPF and not to drive it too far as the car could go into limp mode and I would break down if the DPF was blocked. This was not the situation I needed to be in as I have two young children to get to nursery and I needed to get to work as I had sold my other car. I read the paperwork that the previous owner had left with the car and on the 14th May 2021 he had highlighted to another dealership the EML was on and they identified the same fault that is still with the car when I got it. I feel the car was sold with the fault and the fault code had been cleared by them. He had also raised the noise in the front of the car so why had this not been looked into when they brought the car from him.

I had to do all the calling and chasing for updates which I felt was very poor service from the service team. The only person on the team who could answer my questions was the service manager Saleen everyone else didn't know what was going on. To call the service team was a nightmare and I would often have to wait 30-40 mins for the phone to be answered to then be told very little.

So the car is eventually collected and we are now just over a week on. They still have my car and again I am doing all the chasing for updates. They identified the same fault codes and said they would look into it and fix it.

I am borrowing a friends car which has cost me to insure myself on it. I can't use it all the time so I am having to pay to use public transport. This is ridiculous as I shouldn't be doing this if they had sold me a decent car and not hide the faults. I am out of pocket so far because of them by £270. I am very close to telling them to keep the car and give me my money back as I don't trust them to fix the faults. If I do this I then lose in total just under £500 which is a lot of money.

I am now still waiting for an update after chasing them up again yesterday (01/09) and being told I would get a call back.....

I appreciate with second hand cars there maybe some issues when buying them but I don't expect to buy a car with major faults that could have put the safety of me and my children at risk of breaking down away from home.....

Agreed repairs not carried out

Turned up to pick up my car today. Was kept waiting almost an hour, then when inspecting the car I discovered the repair we had agreed they would make had not been done. They told me they could not get the parts, and it would be a couple of months before they could. Given this it was odd they had not told me, ideally before I came to pick up the car, but even when I arrived to do so. That I was left to discover this on my own suggests bad faith. Driving the car away I discovered it had not been charged. Just about made it to a Nissan dealership where they kindly allowed me to charge the vehicle (slowly). Unfortunately the partial slow charge wasn't enough to make it home, and I had to call out the AA to tow me the final few miles. Finally made it home 9 hours after I set out. Had to miss the entire afternoon of work.
Overall the worst experience I have had buying a car.
