Do not order from this rip-off place
Do not order from this rip-off place. This company has failed to meet a promised deadline. Appears to be quite unorganized and they need to take accountability. No one , nor their third party engine supplier or SWEngines knows much about their orders. There is no way to get in touch with management, and just get the same loop around. The third party, Premium Used Part Solutions owned by Stephen Young, with a a contact number of (503) 877-0566 promised it would be shipped Monday, July 10th. After several excuses, it was July 13th, 2023. Keep in mind, I ordered my engine June 20th. SWEngines promises shipping 7-14 business days, and it finally got shipped several days after the 14th day. Why is that? Lack of process control? Lack of communication? Lack of standard operating procedures? Either way, if you commit to your customers happiness then you need to commit. I finally received the engine, installed it, to find out it knocks and sounds horrible at accelerating RPMs. The third party gave me SWEngines management emails, but have yet to hear back from them. All I want is to be refunded what I paid for the rip-off. Extremely dissatisfied. By the way, all the reviews on their website, and myreputation.com are fake. None are from real people. Do tons of research on the company you order from, because of companies like this that make you lose faith in places nowadays. I question how they are still open. Are they money-laundering? Scamming everyone? Yes. Unfortunately so. Do not order or even think about calling this company.
I hope they fix my issue but I doubt that they will.
It is very sad they called the greatest…
It is very sad they called the greatest inventory and gave 5 yrs warenty while they don't have the engines but gave false promises and wants to rip off your money, even after you cancelled the order they try to send you an engine they bought from other comany l just adviced you not to deal with them.lt never worth a try to do business with.
Don't make the same mistake I did
A friend recommended SWEngines and I took his word for it -- I rank this among the top three worst decisions I have ever made, and I don't remember the other two.
One disaster after another.
I completed my order 13 May, 2023. “Thank you for your recent order (Invoice # 417917) from SWEngines.com: 300-77240 2016 Nissan Frontier Engine 4.0L (VIN A, 4th digit, VQ40DE)
We truly value your business”
16 May I received a notification from them the order was being processed and will ship in 7-14 business days.
On 31 May, I received an apology for a “slight delay”.
Finally shipping confirmation on 5 June.
Then I get this on 7 June, “Sent paperwork to the warehouse to get this picked up and they loaded it onto the incorrect truck. Should have it back here in the next few days and then reship out to you, that transit time is 3-4 business days. You should receive this by next week.”
Followed by more reassurances on 12 June, “First and foremost, we want to apologize for having to send another email about a delay with your order. Rest assured, YOUR order is our top priority.”
Then on 19 June “I see this was returned to the warehouse but not sure why they havent given me the ok to reship yet. Ill reach out to my contact in the morning and get this resolved.”
20 June “I got it figured out, pushing this onto the truck today to head your way. Transit times are between 3-5 business days from my estimation.”
FINALLY the engine shows up 9 July.
But guess what – the engine oil cooler is busted as it sits on the shipping container. It is a +$400 OEM part that I find for just over $300 including tax and shipping. I figure no problem SWEngines has a warrantee program. Right? –
On 11 July, I requested that SWEngines simply pay for the replacement oil cooler part. I sent pictures and the invoice for the part from eBay.
Their response on 13 July was, “Please be informed that we will get the engine return. Please get the engine ready for pick up so that return label will be sent to you.” I have to prepare the engine and pay to have it sent back to SWEngines and either request a refund – assuming they acknowledge responsibility – or pay to have a replacement shipped to me. What kind of a warrantee is that??
I cannot count the number of times I called SWEngines trying to get help. I cannot count the number of times I was told the someone would get back to me and never once did.
sent me a bad engine
sent me a bad engine. refuse to honor warranty. got credit card company involved. one of their employees then called me on his personal cell phone to cuss me out and tell me to have the engine out by next week for a truck to pick up. avoid at all cost!! engines are not what they advertise and once they have your money will give you the run around.
These people are thiefs
These people are thiefs. They have a engine that I returned and have kept my 1845.00 dollars. Is there any lawsuits pending against them that I can join?

the company is a real scam
the company is a real scam. Engine that supposed to have 22,000 miles on it when delivered and refused
looked like it was under water for years. it appeared like a engine with over 100,000 miles. it was shipped without an evidence of true mileage. it was put on an old tire and strapped with a trash bag over it. There is nobody that will help you if you call them. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM
BUYER BEWARE
Quoted 67k miles "tested" engine. NO paperwork package/proof of records. Shipped on mini pallet, sitting on used tire with one steel band wrapped in shrink wrap. Boy was I a sucker and I thought my online ordering habits were solid. One lapse in judgement wasted almost $2k. No customer service, no order details (repetitive canned responses each call). Shipping notice did arrive late via email so that was about the only positive attribute. The engine that arrived looks like it was pulled from a million mile oil bath and rolled down a concrete driveway. Valve covers were both broken, looks like head gaskets had been replaced, mix match bolts. Heavy carbon deposits in exhaust ports, debris in the intake openings. Oil pan dented, At least 1/8th inch dry gummy oil on entire top half of block, even where there should be no oil. Relatively new looking water pump. Manifold and exhaust mating surfaces scratched. BUYER BEWARE I'm cutting my losses and moving on.
Don't Buy from them Scam
Bought an engine from them. It lasted 3 weeks and less then 750 miles. Tried to get them to replace it under there warranty and they would not. I asked to see the results of there test that they did before they shipped the engine to me and they would not send it. Bad Company. They have more law suites. Dont buy from them
ZERO!!
ZERO!!! SCAMMERS!!!!
This company false advertises engines & Transmissions that are junk. They use multiple company names such as, Engine & Transmission World (& Team), Remann's Used Engines & Transmissions, Jasper, SW Engines, Southwest Engines, Quality Used Engines & Transmission(& also Team), Gear Head Engines, Engine Shopper LLC, and many more!
They send bad engine (RUSTED, hydrocarbon issues), don't refund for core, IF you get a 2nd engine, they don't pay for the labor to have their bad engine replaced! They claimed I never did the warranty although I called them several times a day (hang ups, transfer to, no one answers) for 6 months now. I WONT STOP!
It's all a SCAM & THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED!!!!
SUBMITTED request for GOOGLE to Shut Down their pages!!!
Read the reviews and you will find the links. People are getting ripped off everywhere. Multiple lawsuits from others and I'm working with the DA in my state.
Send complaints to Wiscosin Consumer Complaints, too.

Update: Please do NOT remove this post!!
This company has many subsidiaries and has cheated many people, including myself. I was shipped an engine that was bad and contacted them for months to finally get another engine. I had to pay the mechanic two times, rightfully, and they were supposed to pay for the replacement per their contract. They did not!! I had to charge the fee on my card to get the car and avoid more stirage fees. I have contacted them for over a year and they will not refund that labor, nor the core fee for our initial engine they has us ship back; and also, I also had to dispose of their bad 1st engine they sent because they said they would charge me if I shipped it back. Do your research and you will find all the names they do business as (DBA) and you will see all of the complaints online of customers with many issues with this company and affliates . I will continue posting until they refund me the full amount with interest I've had to charge on my card. I am disabled and living on a fixed income and they will no longer answer my calls. swEngines No good even BBB cant help…
swEngines No good even BBB cant help you. Now that is sad. There are so many people getting it right up the but. The banks still work with them. Pay tomorrow. They try to help you and get no were. But still lend money so you can lose the money. You all think maybe they are working together with them. Charge cards tell you to stay away from scum like that. I think I would have a better chance with a hooker then SwEngines.
**** Be Aware**** No Professionalism…
**** Be Aware**** No Professionalism at ALL**** 4 mouths no Engine
I purchased Set on the 20th, 2022, and as of today, I have not received the engine. My invoice number is # 404735. SW "shipping Manager never answer any call after over four months. One of the Managers, Steve, does not even know how to delete his own cellphone voicemail it becomes impossible to get anything done if you can not get anyone to give any update. One time I spoke with Nick at shipping that he would call be back but no callback.
SW Engines is a wretched scam
SW Engines is a wretched, significant scam. I paid >$2500 for a high quality rebuilt motor and got nothing. When I called SW Engines, they said my credit card cancelled the order and they charged me $650 for cancelling the order. My credit card company (Citibank) did not cancel the order. SW Engines then ghosted me when I tried to get back with them. This is an example of fraud.
Thanks to all reviewers
Well, I was going to buy an engine from SW, but I decided to look up reviews here on Trust pilot first. Thank you so much everyone for giving your feedback. You saved me money I do not have. Blessings to all of you. You did a good thing for me and I am sure others. Jesus said (paraphrased) Love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength & do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
I ordered a Cadillac Deville engine…
I ordered a Cadillac Deville engine from them on July 22, 2022 Invoice # 399116 with an estimated delivery 2 weeks later. What was delivered in early September was a worn out piece of junk. I spent 2 days cleaning it up only to find evidence of head gasket leaks and overheating and sloppy attempted repairs. When I notified them, they falsely claimed I had removed the heads which voided the warranty.
When it comes to complying with contract, SWengines will consistancy be in violation for time: processing & sending to carrier....
Invoice for payment of used Saab engine: 404231, $1195, dated Oct. 12th.
I have of this date: Nov. 10th,to received my engine.
Upon calling a representive via phone 11/10/22, being told; that SWengines is relieved of Liability once engine is released to Shipping Agent.
I therefor, enter my negative critique of SWengines

The worst company I have ever dealt…
The worst company I have ever dealt with...Took months to receive the engine. Claimed it was compression tested. Cylinder 4 misfire with burnt exhaust valve. Engine was never overheated in my possession but was sent with melted heat tabs. Engine was barely used and denied warranty after calling almost daily for 3 weeks straight. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!
this is a total scam company
this is a total scam company, i bought an engine on sep 5 2022. 2 weeks after i paid for the engine ($ 5095 ) i called and ask where is my engine. their answer was: we are still inspecting the engine. one week later (3rd week) i called again and their answer was that they were still inspecting the engine. the delivery time supposed to be from 7 to 14 days accordind to their web page. so on 4th week i called and they said engine was not ready yet. so i just asked for my refund. and they just returned me ($3821) they took 25% of my total because i cancel the engine. an engine that probably never existed because i never received that is a good way to make easy money for them. but im working with my bank now to receibe all my money back.
SWEngines represented that they had my…
SWEngines represented that they had my replacement in inventory, which they did not. Consequently, it took several weeks to get the engine delivered.
Their warranty is a sham. They advertise 5/50, which seems very generous. The fine print however states that the warranty must be activated within 10 days of DELIVERY - VERY UNREASONABLE.
