Swift leisure vehicle

After 3 months of ownership we were informed by Swift that there was an anomoly with the paperwork and there was nothing to show that the brakes on our motorhome had tested and verified prior to delivery. Eventually after numerous phone calls it was arranged for a local recovery company to collect and test the brakes. That was fine until it came to Swift paying for the brake test. Our vehicle would not be released until the bill had been paid. I wasted half a day at the recovery company waiting for Swift to pay the bill - just over £100. We are appalled at the way in which Swift have handled this problem. This is our third Swift purchase but based on the experience with their "Customer Experience Team" it will definitely be our last purchase from Swift.

Overbed unit detaches from wall

A very heavy overboard unit came loose and tipped forward. Luckily it didn't detach completely otherwise the injuries would have been serious if not fatal. The company's response - your lodge is out of warranty and there's no fault. The unit wasn't screwed into any wood at the top & caravan walls are quite flimsy. Luckily we have managed to fix the unit & hopefully it won't become detached again. Angry is an understatement & they don't deserve the 1 star I had to give.

Purchased a new Swift Challenger Grande…

Purchased a new Swift Challenger Grande 650L SE last week.
We had a minor electrical problem so e mailed the company. Hayley responded with in a couple of hours and arranged for an engineer to attend the next day on the site we were staying at.
Wayne arrived on time and fixed the issue and was most helpful with a wealth of knowledge.
First Class service.

No real customer services acumen

No real customer services acumen, just people performing a job with a Swift leisure centric ethos where the customer is the person in the wrong.
This company is not recommended by me at all and seemingly many others

Worst chuck together ever

Swift caravan falling apart absolutely shocking:
Internal door frame to the toilet and shower area was warped large gap at the top small gap at the bottom causing door to rub on the frame, badly fitted
Coving coming away in the toilet area
Trim around the shower warped and buckled
Shower rail for shower head fitted upside down causing shower head to keep sliding down
Internal window frames keep falling away due to small screws used has happened 4 to 5 times now*
Cutlery draw fell off due to small screws, fixed but now it looks a mess
Cupboard draws locking handles stop working even if oiled*
Overhead lockers above seating area have gaps in between, poorly fitted
Overhead locker in seating area doesn’t always stay open and slams shut with a vengeance very dangerous hinges replaced but still does the same
Tap in the toilet area replaced after it leaked
Vanity cupboard in toilet area shelf has water damage due to leaking tap*
Tap in cooking area replaced due to leak
Tap in cooking area replaced again due to the replacement tap being faulty
Panoramic window fitted with large dead fly trapped in between
Replacement panoramic windows rubber seal falling away*
Front external gas locker securing plate for locking mechanism wasn’t fitted when we picked the caravan up it was inside the locker
Front external gas locker door badly aliened and rubs against the front external handles, damaged caused to front locker and handles due to this poor fitting*
Front windows cannot all be opened at the same level as they are poorly fitted and the middle window overlaps one of the side windows*
External locker lock replaced after the lock just span round and round
Cupboard door under the cooker fell off
Screw cover coming off due to screw making it’s way out in the bedroom area*
There’s lots more faults I have asked for a complete list but Bawtry caravans who supplied me are finding if difficult to put a list together for me or for swift as there are so many issues.
I have now caught up and having the repairs repaired but still major issues with the front of the caravan that’s so badly chucked together.
*denotes work still to be repaired, 2 years down the line and still so many issues it’s not pleasurable going away it’s a nightmare.

Shocking after sales service from Swift…

Shocking after sales service from Swift leisure and their partners
Purchased a brand new Swift Antibes serial number SG0369664 cost new £59,000.00 the caravan site is Coed Helen , Caernarfon ,North Wales , we purchased our caravan in October . On inspection the caravan was full of faults from shabby workmanship , poor joinery , broken door locks , paint on blinds , lighting not working , grill broken , lounge speakers in the ceiling not working , chipped worktops , wripped wallpaper .
My wife was devastated when we took the caravan , it is now December and we still wait for the greater majority of faults to be fixed , we picked a Swift caravan because we believed they were a better design and quality over many of the other caravan manufactures in the UK , sadly we have made a big mistake .... I believe they use a company called MON caravans Angelsey , North Wales to carry out the fault work as yet they have been out once and changed the painted damaged kitchen blinds ....
David Blease . Plot 402 Coed Helen , Caernarfon , Wales .....

Shabby motorhome with shabby customer care

After buying a new motorhome from Swift, the trim around the lockers started coming away- during the first year. The problem areas have been repaired - stuck back down several times, during the warranty period, but always comes away again - clearly a design fault. Swift now refuse to do any further remedial work, as it outside the warranty. Doesn't inspire me to go back to them for my next new motorhome.
