From Reliable Partner to Paid Shortcuts
I currently work with several distributors, and based on my experience, I used to really appreciate Symphonic Distribution. However, I am no longer comfortable with the direction their business model is taking.
In the past, releases were delivered to platforms within five working days. Since the introduction of the FAST LANE service at $15, release times have noticeably slowed down. It often feels like delays are being used to pressure users into paying for this option. In some cases, releases now take up to 14 days to be sent to platforms.
Unfortunately, Symphonic is starting to resemble DistroKid in this regard, prioritizing monetization over fair service. I understand that companies need to generate revenue, especially in today’s market, but there is a difference between sustainable business practices and aggressive upselling. Instead of pushing users toward paid shortcuts, it would be better to focus on more balanced and fair solutions.
Becoming just another DistroKid risks driving loyal clients away and pushing them toward newer distribution companies. That said, from a technical and workflow perspective, I still find the Symphonic CMS to be superior to LabelWorx, Ampsuite, and Believe Music.
It is honestly a shame to see the service degrading. Please improve the core service and remove the FAST LANE option. It makes the company look very cheap.

Really good for any label
Owner of Daztrax Studios and manager of its label here!
I gotta say, Symphonic has been the best distributor I worked with for already 2 years, not only on terms of music distribution and release management, it also comes with some interesting features such as StreamSafe and more stuff, I really recommend it not only for artists but also for labels (no matter the size or your numbers), the support is also good, sometimes it takes time, but I'd prefer that more than getting an AI response and with useful articles to understand thing even more (easy to understand tho).
Highly recommended, so happy to work with Symphonic :)

A Premium Distributor who cares
We spent weeks researching distributors. After reading a number of positive customer service reviews about Symphonic we approached them. The Symphonic Management System for distributing your music is good to use and there are lots of help articles. Plus, you can message their helpdesk if you get stuck and they will get back to you. Symphonic have also helped us to grow our knowledge about how to do a release and we are gaining knowledge about small things such as genre and category selection which may seem unimportant to many people but are actually quite important from a Metadata and streamer algorithm perspective. Symphonic have a very good understanding of the Apple Music environment which is important for us and can also get your music on all the other majors like Spotify, Youtube and many others. Symphonic also have a full music video team to help you get your music videos out, which has also been important for us. Moreover, the Symphonic team have been kind and friendly about our questions and customer service requests, showing much patience when we ask dumb questions. In summary, Symphonic is one of the premium distributors out there and should be at the top of your list if you are serious about your music. Music production can be a long process. Having Symphonic there, working with you in your corner, as a distributor who cares, makes it feel like you are working on part of something bigger.

6 months changed this all! They are Bad beter skip them and maybe take the one you already will have !
Over the months, my view of the service has changed, and now I see it’s on the same level as DistroKid. At first, when you’re new, everything seems fine — they advertise supporting independent artists, but that’s not true. I sent two friendly complaint emails about upload issues: errors with photos, WAV files being too large and needing formats like FLAC, cover images requiring specific resolutions. It felt like an endless loop of errors. Time zone issues added to the mess — the EU release time was correct, but the USA time didn’t match, and the platform just gave errors without a clear fix. The website itself is basic and nothing special, which I was fine with until simple uploads turned into hours of work for just a few tracks. My workflow slowed down drastically, especially when comparing it to SoundCloud, where a new track could get over 3k plays in a couple of days without promo. Symphonic did nothing; my complaints were met with a generic “thanks for the info, we’ll improve.” Within 24 hours of complaining, all new tracks I submitted — filled out exactly as before — were rejected with a false reason: “Writer name needs legal.” My real legal name was already submitted, and my screenshot proved it, but their reply ignored that. I’m paying for a service I’m not getting — no pitches, no releases. I asked for my money back, removal of all tracks, and royalties plus three months (since they pay three months late), but they refused, citing their six-month client rule and no refunds beyond that period. That might be fine if everything worked as expected, but not when the service slows artists down.

I joined Symphonic in 2017
I joined Symphonic in 2017, and I remain loyal to their service to this day. I've never found an aggregator as good as Symphonic.
The service is fast and responsive. Payments are always on time, never late. I hope this service continues to grow to become the best in the world.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2026, friends. May God bless us all.

Reliable distributor with great support
Symphonic Distribution has been a great experience overall. Their delivery speed is excellent, and the service truly feels worth every penny. What sets them apart is their support team, which is responsive, professional, and genuinely helpful when issues come up. Compared to many distributors in the market, Symphonic feels reliable and artist focused. Highly recommended.

SERVICE DEGRADATION TO FORCE UPSWELLING (CASE: ALEJANDRO)
I have been using Symphonic for a while, and everything used to work perfectly. Uploads were fast, there were no unjustified delays, and communication was clear. However, everything has changed for the worse since they implemented the "FastLane" paid service.
My recent experience has been disastrous for the following reasons:
1. Misleading Interface (False "Sent" Status): The main dashboard shows the status as "SENT", which is a flat-out lie and extremely misleading. When you click into the release details and check the specific platforms, there is no delivery date or record of the files being sent. To be transparent, the status should be "Sending" or "Pending Review." Marking a release as "Sent" when it is still stuck in your internal system is dishonest and prevents artists from knowing the real status of their work.
2. Hidden Deadlines to force FastLane sales: During the entire upload process, there is no warning about end-of-year deadlines. You only find out the cutoff was November 21st after your release is already stuck and you contact support. They hide this information during the upload so that, when the artist realizes there is a delay, they feel forced to pay for FastLane. It’s an unethical tactic: they create a bottleneck to sell you the "solution."
3. Condescending Support (Alejandro): When I complained about these contradictions, the Coordinator of Client Relations (Alejandro) responded with a patronizing tone, telling me to "familiarize myself with the product." It is insulting for a Coordinator to blame the user for the platform’s own lack of clarity. His job should be to provide solutions, not to act superior while the artist is losing their Pre-save momentum and their Spotify Pitch opportunity.
Conclusion: My trust in Symphonic is completely broken. I am withdrawing my content and moving to a distributor that values honesty over deceptive upselling. If you are an artist, be warned: they are intentionally degrading their standard service to push paid "priorities."

Two requests for help answered today
Two requests for help answered today, both raised yesterday. In an era of useless ai bots, the attention of a human team that treats artists as partners is rare amongst distributors. I moved to Symphonic a few months ago and there’s no looking back. Cream of the crop.
