Great for a new parent!
TableRunner meals are quick and easy. As a new parent, there is little time to cook food for yourself. Having already prepared meals in the fridge is a life-saver, just pop in the microwave or oven. Definitely a better tasting and fulfilling option than say, fast-food or pizza delivery when you need to eat something fast.

Convenient, Wonderful, Meal Delivery Service
Tried TableRunner for the first time this week. Food was AMAZING, looked great, tasted great, and was super easy to prepare. I chose the oven method, which I believe is always better than the microwave. The only thing I might point out is that I don't see a need for the lid, but I did like the surprise of seeing the food once the lid was taken off. I'll definitely continue on with my new subscription!

When I eat them for lunch, 4 minutes in the microwave works fine as well. As for the lid, it's just an added layer of protection to ensure the seal remains in tact. Meals delivered in taste as much as in convenience!
I tried my meals over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised, and was blown away by the taste.
My first meal, Thai Chicken Skewers with peanut sauce, was really good but had some minor room for improvement. The peanut sauce was crazy good! My only issue with this meal was that the rice was a little bland, would have loved some coconut rice with this one.
My second meal, Hawaiian Pineapple Glazed Chicken with rice and vegetables, was also really good. While my meal came with almost no veggies, was mostly just rice and the chicken, I really enjoyed it. Would like a little more pineapple taste to the chicken, but was very good none the less.
My third meal, Spanish Style Beef Stew, was my favorite. A little too many olives and could use a little more meat, but the taste was crazy awesome. I am going to request this meal again!

Started up well
Actually really liked Tablerunner in the beginning. Convenient delivery on Mondays, packaged well, good tasting food and a fair price. However, they changed the deliveries to Tuesdays without giving us a choice. Thus I had to cancel my account because Tuesdays will not work for me. It's a shame because I really enjoyed my membership with Tablerunner.

We switched to Tuesday deliveries to ensure that our kitchen team could properly manage the production of the meals and to decrease the number of delivery errors as a result of dropping meals on Sunday for delivery on Monday. We recognize the switch to Tuesday delivery did not work with some of our members' schedules and we do hope to incorporate a feature so that members can choose a day of the week that works best with their schedule. When this feature becomes available, we will be sure to let our current members know as well as any member that cancelled as a result of the delivery day switch. Finally found an easier meal delivery service with good food
Fresh, prepared meals delivered sounded nice, but was skeptical that I was going to be looped into one of those hard-to-cancel subscription based services that send me boxes without notice. Ronald Reagan said 'Trust, but verify', so I called the number on the website to verify their claim that I can cancel anytime. And then i went even further to create an account while they were on the phone to make sure they could walk me through the cancel.
Surprisingly, it was easier than expected! They have a toggle button called 'vacation mode' that you can use to permanently turn off the subscription. and then toggle back anytime you want to order again.
In that last two months, I've used TableRunner about 3-4 times, each time toggling to order whenever the menu had something I liked, and then off whenever i was busy or didn't feel like ordering. There was one dish I didn't like (which they credited by the way) but the rest were great in my opinion. All the meals arrived fresh in a refrigerated box. My favorites are any of the braised short rib dishes. And their eggplant parmesan, yum!
I also found out that by submitting a review of my meals, I receive a free meal as a credit to my account. Not sure how long this will last, or if it's supposed to be for every week, or even for everyone, but I'm basically getting a free meal every time I order.

Good quality food, great customer service
I tried this out when I got a discount from Costco. I still use it for a variety of reasons
- timely delivery to my house/office
- good shelf life of fully balanced meals
- easy to prep
- discounts for referring friends (and my friends like it)
- really good customer service if issues arise
I would tell you the trick I learned--choose meals that are usually oven meals or slow-cooked meals. Things like casserole or stew. Those turn out the best. Things that would normally be prepared on the stove in separate pans don't reheats as well, and textures get messed up.

We decided to move away from one chef cooking the meals to a team of chefs, culinologists, and food scientists who collaboratively create our menus. We believe this team, with their many cooking styles and techniques, will create more dynamic and interesting menus than we were able to offer in previous weeks.

The food was ok -but communication was bad. I didn't get the change of policy and was charged for something I did not order.
Food left at top of stairs twice despite requests to bring down stairs.
