I did feel that the TaxCalc agent i spoke to was not fully aware of how the spreadsheet worked

I have used TaxCalc for several years, and I find it simple and straightforward.

Excellent product, and the "What If" option is very useful for me and my wife when working out how much we should contribute to our pensions every year.

Updated to cloud connect- but when I try to download the update (shows as available) then not available when log in as admin to do so

Fast, polite and helpful support

I originally loved TaxCalc and recommended it to other people because it was so quick in answering any questions. I still find it helpful but problems take longer to solve. Microsoft (which itself never solves anything) sends a warning whenever I log in. I don’t know why this is but suspect it won’t pass on information on the Internet.

Rob and Sam have been extremely helpful with our accounts production and CT600 preparation and submission to HMRC and Companies House.
They handled everything efficiently and ensured the process was smooth from start to finish. Their support and attention to our work were greatly appreciated, and it’s clear they genuinely care about delivering a high standard of service.

After a long wait your colleague very patiently sought to resolve why I could not open Taxcalc 2026. He then sent an email which I followed and it resolved the problem.

For that I am grateful

I made an initial mistake ordering Making Tax Digital months too early so that it started in Tax Year 2025/26. They corrected that for me to be 26/27. I have now made a second mistakeon 1/4/26 by complaining that I couldn't view my software. They gently put that right. 7 Stars.

Very quick, helpful and friendly

The help was on time friendly and helpful. There were some bits that didn't seem to match up with my Mac but it all got solved in the end.

Speed of reply, Less than one day to receive a new release.

Waited 45 minutes for the call to be answered but when I eventually got through my problem was sorted within 5 minutes

Support queries were slow to be addressed unless chased. Even queries marked urgent took more than 24 hours for a response. If this is the norm, then client expectations need to be better managed. The responses received were however, very helpful and clear. Credit to Rob Povey in particular.

Just downloaded taxcalc 26. All my previous links for old files disappeared. When relinking file for 2025 it crashes but appear to have relinked when you reopen. Howvere, crashes every time you try to open 2025 file. Tried everything as suggested by support but nothing works as of yet. Had to wait 40 minutes just to get through to support line. I have used taxcalc since they started many years back, this is my worst experience. Not impressed with waiting times and the testing done before release of software.

TaxCalc support (Rob Povey in particular) managed to sort my query out in a very timely manner and inform me on what the issue was and their plans to resolve it (CIC filing). Brilliant service!
