Its for JINGLE and Rock Bite writers period! Who are mass producing targeted soundbites that an analysis is more warranted for. They should not give examples of 1990s rock bands if the listing i... See more

I have noticed over the last two months or so, all I've been getting from TAXI is call for 'dispatch' opportunities. Surprisingly these cost more than the calls I used to receive. I wonder whether I... See more

paid for a pricey membership and a lot…
paid for a pricey membership and a lot of submissions that hit the briefs but then got blocked by the screeners that really don't have a clue what they are doing. And you have to pay again for each submission. They never list the amount of money you get from a listing, and even though some music has been forwarded on, I haven't heard back from 1 person. Waste of time and money, is you ask me
So this review box says
So this review box says: what went wrong this time? ...well, nothing went wrong, but that's not the right question, is it? ...its TAXI's way of avoiding the real questions and putting in some lame comment...probably had AI or a bunch of lawyers word this!
Secondly: how can this company improve?...again, a totally misleading comment. The membership is not offering how TAXI can improve in any way, shape or form. TAXI couldn't care less, just their way of covering their ass with legal terms.
Thirdly: in every case, my submissions came back with what I feel are probably AI created wording. I have had feedback from many sources saying that some of the songs I have written are quite good and yet, in every case, TAXI is the opposite. The algorithm is plain to see. Those who say they have gained from using TAXI is so minuscule, that its the equivalent of you making any money off Spotify as an example. All in all, poor choice is on me. Also, watching the video's of so-called podcasts and discussions?...totally useless...and boring. Last time I decided to see what it was all about, there were maybe 10 people hooked in. Hooked in, being the optimum word. Just another way of bilking people and providing nothing of substance. There, I'm being honest, helpful and constructive as this review box suggested.
Taxi hits you coming and going
Taxi hits you coming and going. You pay a yearly subscription, then pay again to submit to a listing. Unfortunately, nothing ever actually gets to the company that posted the listing. Even pieces that I paid thousands to have recorded at Parsonics were rejected by the internal "A&R team", and were never actually sent to the listing companies. This service is a scam, that promises big, and delivers nothing, either to the listed companies, nor to the artist submitting music.

Song pitch - screener loved the songs but returned them for other reasons. …
I submitted to Taxi Music a few times for a song pitch for various artist. A song pitch means they are only interested in the melody and the lyrics. The producer and artist are going to record the song with their image. On two songs the screener loved the melody and had no negative comment on the lyrics but returned the songs because one was mastered too hot and the other he felt the vocal wasn’t pop enough. But it was pop enough for him to love the song. On the third song pitch he did not like the drums so he returned the song and had absolutely no comment on the songwriting. It’s a song pitch you are supposed to make your decision based on the melody and lyrics and comment on those two things.
The reasons for his return have nothing to do with a song pitch which is what this was. This is totally insane and unprofessional. Taxi’s comment was this is not a taxi screener he works for the record company. I am paying taxi music for the service - pitching to Taxi music and this man is representing Taxi. They should teach this screener what a song pith is or change the listing to song and master track pitch.
Taxi.com is NOT the place for a rock band
Taxi.com is NOT the place to market music as a rock band with an, or multiple recorded album(s) as Rock music listings are so far and few between. If there is a listing, it may likely require that your music has not been distributed already (via Distro Kid, CDBaby, etc.)
They enticed my band with a money-back guarantee (that is for the annual membership, not the hundreds spent on individual listings) but after requesting the money-back, the swindlers said that they didn’t give money back to people who were previously members 🤦♂️ This was pretty enraging because when I was a member 8 years ago, it was for home-recorded music that was not commercially competitive, however this new project is not just me alone; it’s my band’s music, which is commercially competitive, having been recorded in a legit studio, and with membership under a different email too 🤦♂️
What a bunch of swindlers.
To add insult to injury, they said we had not taken advantage of our membership enough to warrant a money back option, stating that we had not flown to LA to their annual conference (something that would cost thousands with airfare and lodging)
I think there must be a better way.

Best decision ever
Joined taxi a few years ago and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made! After I received invaluable feedback about HOW to write for film and tv and watching the taxi YouTube I learned more than I could imagine about how to navigate this business. I just signed another deal and my career is moving forward and I owe it all to taxi for getting me the opportunities. They take ZERO fees when you get a deal and the seminar where you can talk directly to industry professionals and attend amazing classes is FREE! Yes, it can take a few years if you don’t know what you’re doing but if you stick with it and keep submitting you will get there! It takes a lot of songs to make it in this industry but Taxi helps you write to briefs without burning any bridges if you make a newbie mistake. Invaluable company in my opinion.
Year after year.
Year after year I see them posting the same listings, with the same spelling and everything, my favorite "Top notch" Blah blah blah, I went to the convention and even with people who have a good relationship with Taxi, their conversations at some point are about defending Taxi as if it were part of a contract, and the negative always comes out, so you decide
TAXI is the absolute best organization…
TAXI is the absolute best organization for getting connected in the business of sync music for film, TV, commercials, trailers, etc,. But it is so much more than that! It provides a supportive community and hosts the premier convention I have ever attended. The TAXI Toad Rally is included in your membership and it is so amazing! You will meet people, learn a ton, connect with mentors and potential collaborators, get feedback and encouragement. TAXI services are simply the best!
Taxi taught me everything about naking…
Taxi taught me everything about naking music for TV and film. I thought I knew everything. I knew NOTHING! They will open your eyes about what production music is all about. What else? The composers connected to TAXI are friendly and dedicated.
Friendly trustworthy music community
Friendly trustworthy music community. Genuine and helping musicians learn how to get their music into film, tv, ads
Join for the Road Rally!
I'm a member of Taxi mostly for the Road Rally yearly conference which is free with the membership, plus you get an extra ticket to bring a guest. Anyway, I learned most of what I know about music sync and production due to the motivation I get from Taxi. I'm now pitching music to two music libraries regularly and submitting to Taxi listings when I can get something done that fits the listing. I'm looking forward to making more connections and developing those relationships into a second career.
Taxi taught me
Taxi has helped me learn what is required to be able to produce TV-ready music
"The TAXI ride to nowhere "Make sure you are already RICH to get anywhere even CLOSE to getting your music heard .
The problem for me is that to me a " DEMO ' is just that a DEMO not a finished song ready for broadcasting . Professional demos cost a lot of money and the artist is unlikely to do it MY way at all . The add says " Broadcast Quality not necessary yet when the reviewer responds they always use the excuse that the " quality wasn't good enough or the the vocalist could have been better . So this is rigged for people who already have a ton of money to get professional musicians to make a professional DEMO . My lyrics might be great , but they never even get looked at by the Artist since he/she is not the ones doing the reviewing and gets to even read them . So What good is TAXI to writers who can't afford thousands to make a " DEMO " that is never going to get on the air anyway ?
Taxi Music should be Uber...
Taxi has been around forever. I don't like the business model.
1. You have to pay $5 to submit.
2. They do not let you redo/revise a submission after feedback.
