Too expensive almost 200 dollars to your taxes that was why i always used taxslayer

I do my taxes every year with TaxSlayer. Find the website easy to use. Reasonable pricing.

It was so easy but I did however get confused about this insurance form stuff we have to have now. Once I got it to walk me thru t was a piece of cake

For the last 20 years I’ve used turbo tax, so the bar is very low.

First, it was stress-free. You guys made it easy and simple to do it yourself with the necessary documents. I will do TaxSlayer
next year. Thanks for your professionalism.

1.For expats like me, w permanent residence abroad, this app was ANNOYING! I suggest it be revised in EVERY place that asks for an address and a phone number (which I no longer have in the U.S.)
2. Also, it did not even allow me to select the "start FREE" product and insisted on "Classic".
3.Even though their customer service was quick to respond, they clearly ignored the fact that they advertise a promo code, which I qualified for,and was told twice, I didn't!

Text layer was OK if you experienced problems I need help you don’t have the access to help but ask questions unless you upgrade and pay your higher fee if you have any problems using their system, it should be free for them to give you an explanation of what’s wrong and how to fix it

Really expensive for nothing special. Paying to do your taxes to pay more taxes is a cruel joke.

Ease of access. Ease of use. Thoroughness. Constant communication with the site user. I’ve used TaxSlayer for the past few years and have been very impressed with the quality and ease of use and reliability.

It is very easy to navigate the process of filing return. My problem is being able to print a copy for my file.

Free file for federal AND Maryland state. Most other companies that I researched did not have free state returns for MD, even when planning to use free file. The process to create an account and file from start to finish was extremely quick. I waited until April 15th at 9pm to file (yikes!), and I finished filing in about 15 minute from the time I created my account. My federal and state return was accepted the same night. Also, there was no sneaky up charges or confusing pop-ups, which really helped.

I could not for the life of me figure out why my return kept getting rejected. My quesrion to the group was either too general or too specific. I dont know which. What I do know is that it was time for some professional help so I paid a little extra and we found what the Federal rejection code meant and went exactly where the info was entered incorrectly. My spouse had entered the wrong information for his own birthday. Who knows if it was intentional or not, but we found it and fixed it quickly. The returns were approved in minutes. Better to have the help and not need it, well; you know the rest!

Did not ever answer back when I had questions and you didn't ask the questions during taxes I lost money because you didn't have the ny forms.

Cost has gone up way too much

I had a terrible experience with a big name tax place last year, plus they charged me $400. Yours was much cheaper and pretty much the same results. I also like that you are IRS certified. I'll be back next year.

Ive been using Taxslayer for over 20 yrs and have never had any issues...

I have always used TurboTax in the past and have enjoyed discounts from my credit union or Fidelity Investments for doing so. Without any discounts to use TaxSlayer, I ended up paying more to prepare and file my taxes than I have in the past. Also, there is no "built in" tool (like "It's Deductible") for assigning values to non-cash charitable donations. You have to toggle between TaxSlayer and a third party program in order to come up with values that you can enter into TaxSlayer.
