I used to love Teachable — I've been with them for 4 years or so. But in the past 12-18 months, they've been adding lots of features I don't need, and charging a lot more. It's no longer an attractive option for a small-scale provider.
Plus, as they keep adding & changing things, I've noticed the system has been more buggy than it used to be. Sorry to say, I'm in the process of leaving Teachable.

It sometimes takes a while to state my question clearly enough. The AI chat support is fast but a little “dense” at times. 😂

Forgot to cancel the trial and was billed $1668 dollars. Already 3 days without a good human response. Didn’t get refunded yet despite their docs say I’m eligible for refund

Customer service has become terrible. AI runaround.
Edit: Mary did reach out to me 3 days after my initial request. Your customer service used to be one of the best things about the site. Please strike a better balance between AI and real human support. I'm paying for the top tier plan and shouldn't have to wait 3 days for a response

I’ve been using this platform for more than 3 years, through the best and the worst. Unfortunately, they recently upgraded my plan without permission (after having already raised prices spectacularly, without any real added value for us), charging me more than double the plan I had chosen.
The biggest issue throughout these years (and now), though, has been their almost non-existent customer service: they often don’t reply at all, or when they do, it’s very quick and unhelpful. If a problem occurs on their platform — something that causes urgent trouble for your students or yourself — you might end up waiting days or even weeks for a response (once it took them more than a month !). In the meantime, I had to deal with frustrated students without knowing what to do.
Even worse, when you actually have proof that the problem comes from their side (like now, where they mischarged me an extra $100), there’s no real way to show it to anyone. And I don't know how to avoid them doing it again next month. You can’t argue with silence.
Behind the scenes, I always find myself praying (like now, as i am trying to avoid having to cancel my credit card or talk to the bank to start a dispute) nothing goes wrong — because I never know when, or if, someone will actually solve it.
Even though I value certain aspects of the user experience and have relied on this tool daily for years, the lack of reliable support is exasperating — and with the steep price increases, I genuinely expected this to be resolved by now.

The response was fast and straight to the point.

The issue was resolved - went back to do more updating on sales page and the problem occurred again straight away

Was harder to use than i expected, did not like the 7 day trial - not long enough so i rushed thru it, did not have the marketing features i wanted, and then it was hard to cancel - not even sure i've been able to do that. Bad experience overall...maybe i'm just not the right customer!

I created my course in August and then launched to sales on the 28th August and still to this date have no money paid out to me. I've emailed and used the messenger service countless times and still no response as to why they are holding my money. I've completed all the relevant ID and still no confirmation. I find this highly unprofessional of a company like this and if I'd have known this I would have not used this platform.

No more live help. Went up on price double for my plan. Can’t talk to anyone to get custom pricing which is what your ai suggested. Have to wait for days for a response. The response is still ai generated. In stuck in a loop

It is not okay to charge people after trial without sending a notification. You accepted the return request, but I have to wait for it to come back. You know that it is not our intention to continue a plan after trial. This is not cool or visionary behaviour but sneaky. Sorry. I will not be your client only because of this.

Hi, for the past 4 months I have been trying to get you to sign an SCC document, which you yourselves refer to in your own DPA. As my company is located in Denmark, this is a legal requirement.
I have contacted both your support and another representative (whose name I will not mention here), but without any result. Unless I receive a signed copy by email, I will have no choice but to cancel my subscription. Please reach out to me ASAP

I was away from designing courses for two years and hopped back in and it's been fairly effortless to figure out changes to the platform.

I have tried to reach support multiple times and though the bot is decent their human support refuses to follow up

It takes too long to get a response from support even with a paid plan. The AI nor the support docs have an answer to my issue.

I signed up for a course through Colorway Arts. There was an error with Teachable and my account with Colorway Arts was never set up. Teachable issued my refund. Then 6 months later they charged me again and refuse to give me a refund. Colorway Arts never received the money. I am being charged twice and the error is with Teachable. Their customer service is terrible, I keep getting the same answers back and no help. They owe me $155 and refuse to pay. Please do not use Teachable, it is a scam.
