Tecobuy 

This is a zero star review. Do NOT be seduced by the apparently cheap price into buying from Tecobuy's site (currently suspiciously down). I ordered an updated 2020 iPad at some £70 less than the Amazon/John Lewis price on 24.6.21. I should have known better. More than 2 months later there is no sign of the promised iPad, some 12 emails have been exchanged to no real effect. Tecobuy, based in Singapore, claim the item was despatched, tracked through Customs and to its courier into whom they are now mounting an investigation for alleged non-delivery. They have no understanding of consumer rights, Sale of Goods Act, etc (I'm a lawyer) and to date I am still without a much-needed iPad and almost £300 out of pocket. I shall continue to battle with them as I don't give up, but your life is too short. Go to a reliable supplier and pay a little extra to avoid this balls-achingly tedious hassle. Since posting I'm advised others have been caught similarly, their items have not arrived, their money has not been refund and, guess what? TECOBUY HAS NOW GONE OUT OF BUSINESS. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, PEOPLE!

Excellent price and service. Item arrived in 10 days, brand new and boxed. NB Unable to obtain a 'Tamron' warranty for the lens, so I'm suspecting it's a 'grey import', however this would not dissuade me from using Techobuy again. I couldn't buy this lens second-hand for what I paid, so it's a great deal! Advice if you're worried about paying upfront, register a credit card with PayPal and pay via that route - Plenty of payment protection there! All-in-all, great service, great price, great product.

I am ordering from Tecobuy since 2019 and hopefully I never had problems with them, they have the best prices here in UK and are always some discounts down there which reduce the price even more, yes is true, takes a while for parcels to arrive, between one and two weeks, but that's because the items comes directly from Hong Kong and is no way for faster delivery, if the parcel delays to much or gets lost that's the delivery companies fault, overall, from my personal experience I can highly recommend to buy from their online store

Ordered dyson airwrap for my partners birthday- realised they send phoney goods and told them to cancel before shipping

Suddenly they sent a shipping number…

Order arrived within 3 days…or what I thought was the order. I received a block of concrete in a f*¥~>!ing box…

Avoid at your peril. Company have gone scarce and won’t answer correspondence

Do not order off this company I ordered a iPad in good faith from them only to be informed that the courier had “lost” the parcel. This company then informed me that as i chose standard delivery the goods were not insured (not that this is noted when choosing delivery) and have offered to refund £10 of the £254.89 that they now have for goods I have not received.

A total sham

My purchase has arrived just over 2 weeks when I’d ordered it. I was worried when reading many negative reviews from the company. But I received an email from DPD courier’s that the order will arrive today. I was relieved once I was handed the goods in my hands. I’d paid the extra insurance for delivery. I have also saved over £100 from UK rrp.

Cancel my camera order after waiting for 1 month without any reason. What kind business it this???

iPad out of stock. Waited for two months and then ended up cancelling one as it kept being delayed.

The one that did eventually arrive came with a European charger. A uk adapter was provided but a very cheap one.

Purchased a set of Dyson Corrale Straighteners in November 2020 for a Christmas present for my partner. Seemed okay and arrived eventually in time for Xmas. Tried to register them and activate the warranty with the serial number on the Dyson website only to be told the serial number does not exist , phone Dyson and they confirmed this also and also suggested that I send the straighteners to them so as they can examine them, I did this and 3 weeks later I received a letter from them confirming that they were counterfeit goods and had been disposed of. £357 spent for nothing. Best advice I can give is avoid this scamming company that is not even based in the UK but in fact based in Hong Kong to avoid extreme disappointment, anger and getting ripped off and always go direct to manufactures official website. NEVER AGAIN !!!

Dont buy from them is scam I paid 470£ for phone and never received (parcel lost in travel) they gave me 10£ back you been warned

Super price, excellent service.

I have bought two items from Tecobuy so far and I have had no problems. The prices have been excellent.

We bought a switch lite. The price was excellent. It took a couple of weeks to arrive but that was understandable because of where it was coming from, and worth it for the reduced price. The tracking worked so I knew where it was. It came with a plug adapter and case which was a nice touch and vital if you wanted to use it immediately. I would definitely use them again.

Buy with caution. What they don't tell you is that the goods come from Hong Kong so take an unspecified amount of time and are prone to go missing. If you do order take out insurance.

My lens was found to be 'lost' after several weeks of waiting with no correspondence. I was given £10 refund on £260 lens as I had no postal insurance. Had I known it was coming from HK I would definitely have taken out insurance. Fortunately PayPal refunded my money.

Not worth the grief for the reduced price.

In my view I have had a pleasant experience with Tecobuy. I have ordered from them before (item successfully arrived) and they recently they gave me a refund of £200 when I made an incorrect order.

But the problems recently started. I made an order for 2 items totalling £200.

Unfortunately the items were either lost or I suspect stolen by the Hermes driver! (surprise surprise).

On 27th July when I entered my tracking number I was horrified to see that the parcel was "damaged beyond repair"! I contacted the Tecobuy and after a week they informed me that Hermes does not support their claims service under the postal solution and my case was closed!

I am furious with both Tecobuy and Hermes.

As I escalate this matter to Hermes head office, I am disappointed that TECOBUY are unwilling to help me further in this matter. So basically Tecobuy have my cash and are unwilling to compromise in any way shape or form.

When buying from Tecobuy. Make sure you please consider to take out insurance (standard £10). I have now lost £200 but it could have been much worse. I will intend to contact Tecobuy to see if I can again convince them to some kind of compromise to make me want to buy from there again?

If loss of parcels is causing customers to stop using Tecobuy why cant they add an insurance surcharge of £10 to the total by default??!

Update: December 2021 - My bank managed to successfully retrieve the full amount in total! Very happy but still furious with Hermes and Tecobuy

Do not believe the positive reviews about this website! This is a scam company. Check their reviews on Facebook. Their products never arrived!
AVOID!!!!

Have used Tecobuy now several times and every Order has arrived within 7 Days, with No issues! Live in the UK, Northern Ireland and use Tecobuy for purchasing camera equipment (expensive lenses).

They also give you frequent updates on the status of your order and tracking info. To be honest even with Covid my orders from Tecobuy arrive faster than most of my UK online shopping!

5* and Highly recommend.

Have bought 3-4 times from Tecobuy recently. Everything is punctual and works as described. Delivery times have been as short as 10 days and as long as 4 weeks. What you get in return for that extra time is good price. Would suggest placing order after registration to have better overview.

If MacBook in Tecobuy 736 vs 898 in the UK why pay more? Yes, it takes a bit longer time but excellent job! I recommend!
