What is the point of this company. Indian Wells matches have started but still no live streaming
Worked well for 2 months but when I renewed my premium subscription through the apple store I’m now no longer able to access premium tennistv. Thankfully I’ve only wasted a months subscription. Customer help is non existent
I am a tennis tv premium member. I don't know why, many video quality of many tournaments(almost every atp 1000) is terrible, the fps is very low. The movement of the ball is not smooth at all, they say they stream with 50 fps but I guess it is less than 30 fps. Horrible.
I signed up to a year of Tennis TV to avoid paying Sky’s extortionate rates and to get a month free. But I wish I hadn’t as I don’t think it’s fit for purpose. The streams are jittery all the time. Half the matches don’t have commentary either. And of course, it’s only men’s matches.
When I emailed Tennis TV twice for help with the bad quality video they ignored me. When I then asked if I could cancel and get a refund they sent me the same (copied and pasted from the website) email twice about how to cancel the auto renewal – not what I asked. Eventually someone deigned to answer my actual question and said the fault was my internet connection, not them. I explained that I have no issues with other apps on my TV, and also game online with no problems, but they didn’t bother replying to that. I thought about taking this further (as the Consumer Rights Act states that a streaming service must actually work properly) but it’s very hard to prove whose fault it is in a situation like this. So now I’m stuck with a subscription I don’t want for a year.
Avoid.
Believe the one star reviews! Unbelievable that this is the endorsed ATP streaming service. The content is fine but good luck accessing it! Appalling customer service designed to drive you mad to the point of giving up. Will sign up to beinsports instead and hope for a better experience.
I’m not sure if most of the reviews on here have the same streaming platform as me ! I’ve found it works perfectly on my Samsung smart tv and iPad. The quantity of picture is close to HD and overall layout of the app to choose which tournament to watch works well.
Totally agree with all the 1 star reviews. App doesn’t work at all. Total waste of money. I also wish I had read the reviews in the first place.
I have previously been happy with Tennis TV but I signed up to a monthly subscription almost a week ago and I still cannot access Premium and have tried to contact their Help desk numerous times but only receive automated replies. I feel cheated having paid £11.99 and still not being able to watch any live matches.
Was a happy customer for a year. Then suddenly the streams no longer worked, just a black screen every time. Thought I would write and ask for help and things would be quickly solved. No, 6 months later, asking weekly for help, no support, just receiving the same generic replies. Then they just terminated my account as they were unable to actually do anything to help. 1 star is too generous.
Subscribed to TennisTV after Eurosport stopped broadcasting the ATP tour in my country since the 2024 season. But note that Eurosport still shows the Grand Slams here: yes the tennis big business decided it was a good idea to make the fans pay twice…
Anyway, compared with my previous experience with Eurosport over the last years, Tennis TV is simply terrible:
- overpriced compared with Eurosport, especially as the service quality is much lower.
- doesn't show the Grand Slams! I guess because they're not managed by the ATP, but still…
- on ATP tournaments, it shows only matches on the main court, so at best half of the matches are shown.
- can't rewind a point when watching live: seriously!!!
- replays are not immediately available once the match is complete.
- can't mute the comments, to hear only the court ambience.
- on AppleTV, it asks me to reauthenticate every f***ing day!
I really enjoyed watching tennis on the Eurosport app on AppleTV, as, in spite of its shortcomings, it gave me access to almost all courts, I could easily replay great points, and it was not that expensive. Here, I feel ripped-off and frustrated and it's ruining my experience when watching tennis, so I'm doubt I'll renew this when my subscription is over.
No problems with the streaming.
What I did have a problem with is the poor definition.
I mean, for a sport like tennis, involving fast movement of the ball, it was totally unwatchable!
Tennis TV needs to be HD, like many tv channels are.
Is this so difficult to achieve? Then the significant cost would make it viable.
Awful Awful Awful. How can a "tennis" channel NOT show grandslams live? Are you serious? Doesn't connect to Samsung TV's! poor customer service. STOP people do not subscribe!!
Signed up today but immediately found the app will not work on my Samsung Smart TV. They will not refund my payment. AVOID!
Wish I had read the reviews before I became a premium subscriber. Absolutely uselessly slow, poor connect, nothing live, won't connect on Samsung tv just says error undefined! No function to save your favourite matches compared to when it was on prime. Help or customer service is non existence! Disgrace
I stupidly paid for a year s subscription. The service is completely useless. Nothing is live. I have read the Ts and Cs...if you want a refund you have to ask within 24 hours of paying for a subscription. Clever 13 month for 12 month offer....
PLEASE BELIEVE ALL THE PEOPLE UNDER - AVOID AVOID AVOID.
Have to say I really had doubts about this after reading all the negative reviews. However I have found the service to be perfect. Best viewing for me has been using the app via an XBox or directly on my PC. No lag or streaming issues and picture quality is spot on. All the tennis this week has been in Australia so being able to watch what I want when I want has been ideal for me!!
I subscribed to tennis tv in December 23 when Amazon stopped showing ATP tournaments. The app works fine on my iPad and on the whole I have no issues with it. It isn’t as versatile as the Prime coverage was, but is ok. However I have 2 TVs with Amazon Firestick. The issue is the same on both. Live coverage constantly loses sound then the picture buffers. This only happens for a few seconds, but happens frequently and is a real pain. It never happened when I watched Prime tennis through the firestick or live tennis on BBC iplayer, eg Davis Cup.I have reached out to them for advice, but have had the usual ‘it’s not us, it’s you’ reply. I have good stable internet connection with excellent download/upload speeds. I have also followed all troubleshooting tips. I’m not prepared to fork out for the most expensive firestick, as mine work fine with all other apps. Maybe they should be taking advice from the app developers at Amazon Prime, who gave us such good tennis coverage over 5 years.
Tennis TV is the worst! Signed up August 2023 and I've not been able to watch ONE single tournament without a load of problems (signing in, streaming etc). Have emailed them numerous times and got a reply the first few emails with things to try (they said they were aware of the problems and were attempting to fix) but last 3 emails have gone unanswered. I have remained polite but the last email I suggested perhaps a partial refund was in order seeing the problems I have had since day 1! What do you know, no response to that email. I have cancelled my subscription, not much more I can do besides warn as many possible customers as I can.
FYI I was using Macs with both Chrome & Safari and neither worked properly even with the instructions to fix that they supplied me.
Don't waste your money until they get these problems sorted.
Works with malicious and sneaky practices to extract the most amount of money. Firstly offers you one package but just to automatically transform it to a full subscription.
