Buying the policy was easy but I couldn't create an app as I already had an aa breakdown app through my bank account. My phone wouldn't allow 2 apps even with separate email accounts.

Filling in the application was simple and straightforward.Very competitive car insurance.

I used Compare the Market to search for my house insurance quotes. The AA was not the absolute cheapest but the first from a reputable company I recognised. It also found it's application format to be logically presented and easy to complete. The ultimate test however will be if I ever have to make a claim. Hopefully not!

I have had an appalling experience with the breakdown cover this evening.
I broke down and called for help around 5:30. Original estimate was 6:30 but ended up around 7:40.
The gentleman who came was unable to diagnose anything as his machine was incompatible with our vehicle. I was then left to wait for a recovery vehicle.
I was originally told it would be 9:10 which then extended to 11:40.
I understand that I was not in a dangerous road space but I am a woman on my own left on the roadside.

The gentleman I spoke to on the phone was very unapologetic and unhelpful. Very poor service all round.

I don't appreciate being told 6 hours is "actually really good" at 9 at night while it's getting dark.

I had found an excellent quote online but wanted to ensure that I could also get a paper copy of my car insurance once taken out.
I am not too technical so like to have a paper copy as well.
I telephoned customer services and spoke to Gareth who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and easily arranged my policy.

Only the second time in my driving life have I ever called out a recovery service. We called out the AA using their app, which was easy to follow and straightforward even for me. I was given an estimated arrival time, via a message which I was sceptical about. I shouldn’t have worried, the van appeared within the hour. The technician was exceptionally friendly, polite and knowledgeable. He was able to fix the problem, which I was so grateful for. I can’t thank the technician enough and the service provided by the AA. Please keep up the excellent customer service.

Actually A were the only ones to take the application, despite USwitch & Confused offering copious offers promising amazing deals, what a crock. So we’ll done AA, and thank you.

Everything went fine

Insured with the AA - huge mistake - cannot amend car details on line, cannot get what the price might be on line - have now spent the last two days trying to get through on the phone - impossible!
All I can do is cancel the policy take a hit on the £32.50 which I will be charged and insure with a company whose website is responsive and answer the phone!

Easy to arrange, straightforward and user friendly. Everything was explained clearly and costs were shown so very clear what was the total cost. Got like for like cover at a really good price. Recommend to anyone looking for insurance at a good price.

Atrocious service. Avoid like the plague, if you have any sense.

My car insurance renewal has gone up 42% year on year. I have not made a claim (or been hit by anyone else), not had any convictions and not changed the car. AA Insurance is a real pain to contact - endless selections on the phone just lead to a promise of a 30 minute wait for someone to speak to. There is just no way on the website to cancel - it just refers you back to the phone. The claim that they treat renewals like new policies is simply not true.
