Very happy with the service by the Leak Detection Company. Simon, the engineer was very helpful and talked me through and the leak was detected with the Gas Test method in the first hour of the job.

After concluding that I must have a hidden leak somewhere under my solid tiled kitchen floor, I contacted several companies, including some well known names, in the leak detection business.

The Leak Detection Company (LDC) stood out as Claire, my initial point of contact, was more willing than others I had contacted, to understand the situation and was very helpful. After reading reviews about LDC, I decided to appoint them to find and fix the issue.

LDC's technician, Elliott, was extremely professional and, despite 35 degree heat, remained unflappable in his search for the elusive leak that he found was caused by a perforated copper pipe buried in the screed under our kitchen floor. Elliott had a methodical approach to the situation, had sophisticated equipment appropriate to the job, was careful not to cause too much disruption and managed to find and fix the leak during his visit. He was also a very engaging person.

Although Elliott was unable to find and fix the leak in the first three hours included in the fixed price quote, this was primarily due to the time taken to find the leak and, importantly, to eliminate other possible causes. My view is that the time taken accurately reflected the complexity of the problem.

Based on my experience, I would certainly use LDC again without hesitation.

The engineer, Jamie Kingsmill, turned up before time, was very professional, had good knowledge and great communications. Explained everything in layman's terms, (so I kept up as best I could), and done a really thorough job. Very happy as I had 3 plumbers that could not detect a leak. We’re really happy with the service we received from start to finish. Calls to the office to ask questions and make initial enquiries were dealt with in a friendly, helpful and efficient way. Jamie arrived bang on time on the day of the appointment , despite the long commute, and could not have been more helpful. Sourced our leak (we have a very long pipe that we are responsible for) in a few hours and gave great advice throughout.

I didn’t know where water was coming from but the plumber found it behind my washing machine, that had been installed wrongly. He corrected the pipe work and left everything very tidy!

I have a relatively large leak somewhere in my system (1 bar per 24 hours). 6 hours work - no leak found! Massive bill. Website promises so much but for me nothing, Just lots of money down the drain.

From my first conversation with Claire, I felt I was in very capable hands. She took the time to understand my situation and explained the leak detection process in detail, including how the insurance claim would work with my provider, AA plc. Claire was extremely helpful and managed to arrange an appointment much sooner than other companies I contacted, who were quoting waiting times of up to two weeks.

Today, Simon came out to carry out the work, and he was an absolute gentleman. He explained every step of the process clearly and in detail, fixed the issue efficiently, and demonstrated great skill and professionalism throughout. He was also very patient in answering all of my questions.

We were advised by a building surveyor that the damp wall that we had in our kitchen was possibly due to a leaking pipe rather than rising damp, but that it would be difficult to locate the source.

The Leak Detection Company managed to locate and fix the leaking water pipe which was buried beneath a concrete floor.
