I am extremely disappointed with how Ticketek has handled my situation. I paid extra for refund protection, complied with all requirements, and provided the requested medical documentation yet was faced with constant push backs.
As a pregnant woman with genuine medical concerns, I felt dismissed rather than supported. Instead of showing any flexibility or understanding, Ticketek relied solely on rigid policies and generic responses, which was both frustrating and upsetting given the circumstances.
It is concerning that a company of this size appears unwilling to offer compassion or reasonable consideration to its customers, particularly those facing health related issues. Based on this experience, I will not be purchasing through Ticketek again and would encourage others to carefully review their refund policies before doing so. The advertised “refund protection” does not reflect the level of support you might reasonably expect when it is actually needed. Book through the company directly!

We had a truly wonderful experience at the Illuminations show in the Edinburgh Botanic Garden. The atmosphere was magical, with the gardens beautifully lit and transformed into a glowing wonderland. The staff were extremely helpful and kind, making the evening even more enjoyable.
It was the perfect way to spend a Friday night—strolling through the enchanting pathways, surrounded by lights and nature. A memorable evening that we’ll cherish! 🌿

I was disgusted at after spending £19 a ticket we were also charged £10 to park even though Westonbirt state on their website that parking is free with an entrance ticket. We were told there was no disabled parking so my friend who as Parkinson’s was struggling to walk from the car park, luckily one of the car park attendants saw us and said we could park in the disabled car park and there were plenty of spaces. We did enjoy the night but I am still not very happy with the £10 parking fee

I am extremely disappointed with your service.
I paid an extra fee as protection re cancellation. Unfortunately the child
we were taking ( main reason for going) now has hand, foot and mouth disease but when I tried to cancel I was told I had to provide a doctors certificate confirming this. This would probably cost around £25.
The NHS has enough to do at this time of year. Most health practitioners don’t have time to be doing this.
I phoned the Botanics who are holding this event and they confirmed that they had received lots of complaints from ticket holders with a similar experience mainly due to seasonal flu.
This is a complete farce and feels like a total con.
I will try to avoid using your services again and will also share my experience with others.

Dunham Massey Christmas lights
After an issue with the tickets. It was soon resolved by one of the team. My daughter enjoyed the experience we could walk around at our own pace and enjoy the lights.

SECOND POST, THE EVENT IS NEXT WEEKEND. WE HAVE NO TICKETS!
THIS IS SO BAD TICKETEK UK
I had to change my email address through no fault of my own.
My tickets to a National Trust Christmas Lights event were sent to that address prior to my account going down.
I hadn’t saved the tickets, unfortunately.
The tickets were sold through Ticketek UK whereupon National Trust couldn’t help me to retrieve them.
I have completed several forms, as suggested on the Ticketek website, though the date is getting closer for the event.
No contact has been made with me even though I have explained that they use my new email address and phone number, (both given in my completed form to them.)
I’ve sent an image of proof of purchase too.
Not one bit impressed and will avoid booking through this website again!
Ticketek UK.
If you’d taken the time to read my original review then you would see that I no longer have access to the booking details because they are in my old email account. I have contacted you through your own website offering a screenshot of my bank transaction, my new email address and even my contact number!
I CANNOT ACCESS MY OLD ACCOUNT!

I was transferred some tickets through Ticketek, a feature which they supposedly fully support.
I downloaded the awful Android app which currently has endless complaints against it and a Google Play score of just 2. The link to transfer the tickets didn't work at all, as many others have complained about. It just takes you back to the account page.
I contacted support who did reply quicker than expected but tried to say it had nothing to do with them and it was somehow the venues problem.
Dreadful app, dreadful service. If you can get your tickets elsewhere, even at a higher price, I'd highly recommend it because if anything goes wrong, you're on your own.

SCAM!
Do not buy tickets from Tickettek!
I recently tried to buy tickets to Alan Carr for October 2027. After going on the Alan Carr website, finding the event and clicking through, I landed on the Plymouth Pavilions website. It allowed me to pick my seats and make a purchase.
I then received a confirmation email for Australian Pink Floyd in November 2026 and it charged me £254!
I immediately raised this issue with Plymouth Pavilions, TicketTek (the third party company Pavilions use for tickets). Tickettek told me it was an issue with the site so I need to complain to Plymouth Pavilions. Plymouth Pavilions are denying they miss-sold me the tickets and told me Tickettek told them there was no way I could have been issued the wrong tickets.
I even provided proof, including internet history that showed my journey from the Alan Carr website, the Pavilions website, to picking the seat and payment and even showed them the confirmation of the Australian Pink Floyd show.
AVOID!

I ordered a car parking ticket for Blenheim palace Christmas market but the order did not process correctly and although I was debited the £12.50 no ticket arrived. After 24hrs of trying to see where the ticket was after emailing the company a couple of times they eventually came back and stated there was no trace of my order. I had to go in and purchase another ticket under a different email address. To be fair though I was refunded the original ticket money the next day. Obviously a glitch in the booking system.

Event was cancelled and Ticketek are refusing to refund the full amount paid after contacting them, even though their booking T&Cs include booking fees in the stated refund liability.
Customer support are refusing to refund booking fees, in contrary to their T&Cs of sale.
To clarify after Ticketek's response - the event T&Cs were not overlooked and at the time of writing these do not mention witholding Ticketek fees if the event is cancelled by the organiser. The Ticketek T&Cs state that refund liability includes these fees.

I liked that you can book tickets online but you shouldn't have to pay a charge for doing it all yourself, no postage etc. it even said that there
wouldn't be a charge at the end of booking but there was

I booked two tickets at £25 each for the Edinburgh Botanic Garden Christmas Lights, only to find out the event was actually free. This is completely unacceptable and amounts to misrepresentation.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 (CPRs), it is illegal to charge for an event or service that is free, or to provide misleading information that influences a customer’s purchase decision. What happened clearly falls under misleading commercial practice.
As a student, £50 is a significant amount, and I should not be losing money because of false or unclear information.
I am requesting an immediate full refund.
If this is not resolved quickly, I will escalate this to:
• Trading Standards Scotland
• Citizens Advice Consumer Service
• A formal complaint under the CPRs for misleading or deceptive selling
I expect this issue to be resolved urgently.

Worse to nice experience [initially given 1 rating and now to 4 rating ]
since after booking tickets the team reached out asking for additional amount, and i was fine to proceed. Again in sometime they reached back with double amount saying technical glitch. So the price mentioned in the website i felt spam to compete with other vendors- but then the team reached out immediately and helped me with their best to get me the desired ticket which cannot compete with any other platforms.

It was great , step by step process. Being older I found that having to do it in a timed period a little worrying.
