Timber King Ltd 

Very very busy times in the timber trade. But still received my order on time to complete a big job. Very helpful and friendly delivery staff. Could do with a direct contact number but all in all excellent service and very competitive prices.

Delivered shorter lengths than I ordered and I am still waiting for the correct lengths to be delivered and the wrong ones collected weeks later. Impossible to get anyone to answer the phone and emails and messages go unanswered.

Once again fantastic service great quality products I’ve been recommending to people in the trade

Couldn’t recommend Timber Kings enough, couldn’t find the same priced timber anywhere so was was willing to wait the 7 day deliver, however I ordered Thursday and received a text on Sunday saying it would be delivered the next day. They were out of stock of 3m so they gave me 4.8m instead.

I know they have had some teething issues when first started out due to such high demand, but I would never go anywhere else for timber now.

The £500 moq managed to build me a raised decking approx 8m x 4m including posts etc and a pergola and enough left over to make 8 planters.

The timber had an extremely nice grain for softwood so once it’s sanded and stained it looks amazing and can be used for much more than framing etc.

Order 19388. Communication I would say is their down fall. Just relying on a messenger service isn’t the greatest when things go wrong. Having said that I ordered over £1k of timber and it was delivered within 4 days of ordering. Good quality, the only reason for 3 stars is they missed 2 sheets of OSB3 and have had no reply from the messages I’ve sent. Thankfully this won’t stop my project moving forward and can be sourced elsewhere. It would definitely have been a 5 star review if everything had been delivered, all they need to do is employ someone who can double check the amounts before being sent out of the yard. I would still probably use them again if I ever need a large order but would pay the driver instead of paying online so I can pay for exactly what I receive.

Timber was fantastic, best prices around delivery was on time. Communication was not very good. Tried to update my order due to my mistake asked repeatedly, has it been updated they finally confirmed it was. Order arrived and delivery was not updated. Disappointed, but apart from that all okay.

Placed a order with timber king, my oder was delivered within 5 working days, the quality of the timber was really good and the price was half compared to other companies.

Had a delivery brought by Chris, fantastic guy- very well mannered and happy chap! On time and products were very good quality for the price we paid- won’t go anywhere else now can’t recommend these guys enough!! 😊

Product quality was great, delivery driver arrived promptly and phone beforehand to say he was on his way . Would definitely recommend and use this company again.

Apparently too busy to fulfill my order of £2k which was made 4 weeks ago and promised today! Solicitor is involved to claim for loss of earnings! I’d never use these again and I cannot emphasis these enough to anyone looking at using these ! I have been messed around and had several empty promises. I’m at my wits end with them and I will be posting on every group relating to home bars, summerhouses, sheds, traders, anyone who will listen, do not ever use timber king , cheap yes, reliable absolutely not, I’m trying to run a business and failing to deliver is not an option for me, I’ll be taking them to the cleaners for a job where I’ve not been able to do anything for the past week due to them not turning up. I had the whole sympathy message, where trying to work through a pandemic, yeah me too and amateurs failing to deliver on several promises has nothing to do with a pandemic! Your service is without doubt the poorest I have ever seen, you have no regard for your customers, and your communication is shocking !

Placed an order 14 days ago. was told that it would be here today 25th AM. no sign of it , sent message after message to get some confirmation that it will arrive , no response , no one to ring and talk to. poor communication , worried it might be a scam or the company is in trouble, will start the process of getting my money back if no show today. Sorry to say , keep clear

Had my delivery on Tuesday absolutely brilliant service. And driver was very helpful a*

Placed an order on the 12th March with a 5-7 working day delivery. Received no contact from them despite 3 or 4 messages asking when delivery would be. Finally received a reply once I threatened with charge back which was now the 18th March, already 4 working days since my order. I was told my delivery had been scheduled ‘early next week’ which would have just about been within the 5-7 days however a delivery date was provided the next day of the 26th March, 10 working days from my order date. Just hoping my timber is of the quality I was promised prior to ordering.

UPDATE - my order has been delivered, top quality for 90% of the timber which is to be expected I suppose. I would use again I just hope the communication issues can be resolved.

Nothing much to say apart from, amazing products, amazing prices and cracking service. Will 100% recommend

Ordered 3x2 and 4x2 quality of timber good.
Cheaper than my local builders yard.
The delivery driver was very nice all offloaded and stacked in building without a problem.
Would order again.

Ok timber arrived and seems to be good quality esp for the price which is very competitive. Would get 5 stars if not for the time it took to get the timber. Advertised as a lead time of 3 to 5 days when ordered on 9th March delivered on 31st March, Ok we are in a pandemic and supply issues from Brexit I expected delays. The biggest issue I had was poor communication/customer service. It took a negative 1 star review on Trustpilot to get a response from the company as to estimated delivery date. Suddenly got a text to say it would be delivered on 31st and driver would phone 30mins before. By the 31st I was back at work which is local so no problem given the driver was going to phone. Accept he did not, he just turned up at 07:55am (good job we got a ring door bell) and he was a little frustrated I was not in 🤔. Don't get me wrong he was a nice chap and the timber for the money is great. But they need to be honest with the lead times (suggest people order weeks before timber required) But most of all they need to improve their communication/customer service then they and the customer will be on to a winner.

Update:- Having had my timber delivered on the 31st March had another text on Fri 2nd April saying "your timber will be delivered on Mon 5th April (BH Monday) your driver will phone 30 mins before" did not think much of it and assumed they just sent it to the wrong customer. Then on Monday a van turned up with a load of timber yet again no call. Told the poor driver I had already had it the week before and given it was cash on delivery I was not paying twice so he strapped it back up and returned it to their depot. Think this firm need to take on an office manager to sort things out. No wounder they can't keep up with orders when they send the same ones out twice esp given the distance of around 80 miles. Funny in a way but knowing another customer is desperate for their delivery while they waste time like this must be frustrating.

I placed an order on 8th March which was acknowledged and also received an SMS that delivery time would advised within 72 hours. Since then despite 3 chase ups via their contact website I have heard nothing. This is getting very frustrating since the web site claims delivery within 5 - 7 days of order.

Update I have had 2 delivery dates promised, both not met, still no timber. No replies to messages sent either.

Looks like will have to write this company off and claim back money off credit card.

My order was finally delivered on Thursday 31st March. The delivery driver was pleasant and helpful.
Also I have to say I was pleased with the quality of the timber supplied.

Very pleased with my delivery; price was excellent as was the quality of the timber.

Communication was good throughout and driver was very helpful. My delivery was split over two days and the driver ensured that I had an extra copy of the note to state this, but everything arrived on time the next day.

Very good experience and I have recommended them to others already.
