Insurance isn't worth buying

Insurance isn't worth buying. I purchase and event got rained out day of event. So speedway scheduled for next day so I was unable to attend. Files for refund since I wasn't able to attend so I filed insurance but they don't pay for that type of incident. So out of 60 dollars not due to my control. As I said if possible buy tickets from gate day of event of you can. I am completely disappointed in this service. Won't use them again.

This was a horrible experience

This was a horrible experience. I paid for tickets that were promised to be delivered "in time for the concert".
24 hours before the concert, the tickets I purchased were suddenly "unavailable," and I was offered new tickets (far away from where I had chosen...the new tickets were on the floor in row S). I reluctantly accepted this offer...and just a few hours before the concert these new tickets were suddenly "unavailable" too. I was offered different tickets, even further back on the floor...which I declined. My money was refunded but I live 3 hours from the concert venue so this whole experience was very disappointing. I have learned my lesson and will only purchase tickets that will be delivered at purchase or directly from the venue.

I would give it a 0 if I could. My event was cancelled and they have not issued a refund or even sent an email. Also the support hotline they have listed on their official website is a number to a medical device company. Do not waste your money with this company!!! Buyers beware!

Excellent customer service

I want to write this review to Tixr and AnExperiencewith to correct an original review I wrote in haste.

I believed I was being scammed as the Mel Gibson event was postponed with such short notice but have investigated and found that I was wrong. I apologise profusely and thank Tixr and event organisers for all their help after I accidentally cancelled my tickets.

I purchased tickets. I checked out as a guest utilizing an Apple email instead of my gmail. I could not find my tickets anywhere. I utilized the contact us instant message option. Jan was great but escalated to another member of her team. Mia was able to help bring my freakout to an end. I finally had my tickets showing up in the Tixr app.

I am disabled and enquired about a ticket for a concert plus a free companion ticket (which is normal at 99.9% of events with proof of disability)
Wasnt explained clearly that I only needed to buy 1 ticket and have the companion ticket added free
So I bought 2 tickets and for 3 days have been going around in circles trying to get ANYONE who can help get me a refund on the 1 ticket
Nobody answers the phone or replies to voice mail at venue have tried 3 e mail addresses on the website USELESS
This wil be my first and last experience at this venue/ticket service

This company is a complete scam

This company is a complete scam. I purchased tickets through their website for an event that was three hours away from where I live. When I arrived at the venue, my tickets would not scan at the door. Meanwhile, the friends I traveled with bought tickets from the exact same link and had no issues getting in.
Because I had already driven three hours for this event, I had no choice but to pay again at the door (over $110 in cash) just to attend.
I contacted the company afterward expecting them to correct what was clearly an issue with the tickets they sold me. Instead, they told me that they “only provide the tickets” and that whether they work or not is not their responsibility.
That response is completely unacceptable. If you sell tickets that don’t work and refuse to help the customer afterward, that’s effectively taking someone’s money and providing nothing in return.
They kept my money for tickets that were completely unusable and have refused to offer any help, refund, or resolution. Extremely unprofessional and dishonest.
Avoid this company at all costs. You are genuinely better off buying tickets anywhere else, even in person at the venue, rather than risking losing your money like I did.

*Update*
The company has now responded claiming they have no record of my order or support ticket. That’s surprising, considering I have retained full documentation of this transaction, including screenshots of my order confirmation and a complete transcript of my support chat.
All materials have already been preserved and submitted to the Better Business Bureau for review. At this point, the issue does not appear to be a lack of information, but rather a refusal to acknowledge it.
I would strongly encourage the company to conduct a more thorough internal review before dismissing customer claims. Transparency and accountability go a long way; especially when documentation clearly exists.
I have now submitted it to them again to see what happens but if customers have to go this far just for the issue to be fixed it is pretty ridiculous. I will update as this continues.

I contacted customer service as I had a query and they got back to me straight away. TIXR customer service processed my special request immediately and I was extremely pleased. TIXR was very easy to deal with.

At first, it took them 1-2 business days to respond but once I got connected to an agent, I had a really wonderful experience. My rep was responding immediately and was able to solve my issues ASAP.

Tixr is just another predatory…

Tixr is just another predatory ticketing company. They are greedy and quite frankly shouldn't exist as a company. They sell insurance for the tickets that they refuse to honor. I purchased the insurance in the event that I was unable to attend, I am now unable to attend and they refuse to refund. This is a scam company, hopefully they get investigated. Inb4 class action lawsuit

Editing to reply to that weak response. You are all vultures, Order Protection is sold by a different company and then the actual ticket insurance is yet again with another company. I sincerely hope the entire ticketing industry collapses - you serve no purpose.

Such a let down :-(

Back in November last year I bought two tickets for my husband's early birthday present to see Batman 1989 at the Forum in Bath. The original date for this was 6/2/2026. I received notification my tickets were available so logged in and noticed the date on the tickets said "Thursday 5th February, doors open Friday 6th February" so I thought that was weird and called the venue. The venue said that Tixr should have notified us of the change of date. I received no notification. I contacted Tixr and they said that the venue were supposed to let us know. The fact remained that nobody had let me know so I had to rearrange my work hours, train tickets and someone to look after my dog in order to make it to the 5/2/26 date. On the day of the event they then sent an email saying it had moved again to April due to issues getting over here from Ireland. If this is true, whose idea was it to move the date to 5/2/26 knowing there could be an issue? Such poor planning. I sent a complaint email to the link in their last email about the new April date and this bounced back so they obviously don't want to talk to their customers and rectify things. I have now requested a refund and based on this experience I won't be using Tixr again.
Update following Tixr's response: nobody contacted me about the change of date. Whether it was Tixr, the venue, the organiser, nobody did. So they're all useless it seems just blaming each other and no accountability and no apology. Still awaiting my refund. You also cannot make a complaint it seems, they don't have a phone number to contact and they send patronising responses such as "whilst I'd love to help" but then don't. Waste of time.
