Great customer service, really useful tofu press, does exactly what it claims to do! I would recommend

Edit: Tofuture has since sent me replacement bands to replace those that have snapped (note that I requested that they only send bands rather than a full new unit as offered in the reply below for environmental reasons). Their customer service was polite and the replacements were sent out promptly. I have upgraded the review to 5 stars to reflect the good customer service experience. They have also fixed the VAT issue on the UK website which makes replacement bands more reasonably priced.

I bought the tofuture press despite being slightly worried about the elastic bands snapping, though I was assured by many customer reviews that the bands are tough and last.

Well, one of the elastic bands of my press snapped after about 6 months of medium use. The device is useless without the bands.

I am in the UK and went to order replacement bands + a spare set. They advertise at £3.49 per pair, but that is without tax. They add the tax on at checkout (not a practise allowed in UK), and then once I entered my address, they added £4.00(!) delivery on top.

A set of two replacement band pairs came out to £13.18. This is over half of the cost of the original unit.

I am disappointed that the bands broke and that they charge so much for replacements. It is currently sat being useless in my cupboard and I will probably chuck it at some point (Edit: no longer true since tofuture sent replacement bands, I will be happily using it again!)

I love this product. Got my own as a Christmas present a few years ago and now I’ve bought my housemate one as I’m moving.
It’s simple, sturdy and tidy

2 weeks after my order, I don't know where my package is. And when I ask customer service, I get no answer.

Fantastic company! We've had our tofu presses for 6 years now. They're still as good as new but one of the elastic bands had started to break. It's brilliantly simple that the bands are available to but separately to avoid having to unnecessarily replace the whole thing. Delivery was speedy and the cost low.

Has proved an essential bit of kit for my tofu.

I'm delighted with the tofu press which is currently in the fridge doing its job to the best of its abilities. However I have a complaint about the delivery. I don't know if it was delivered by Royal Mail or another company. Whoever it was left it outside leaning against the gas meter of one of my neighbours. Fortunately I had to read my own meter this morning, so I noticed the package, which was soaking wet from the heavy rain. It was probably there for several days.
