Poor customer service & false advertising

I have been with too for 2 years and I can’t fault the internet that is provided. It has only dropped out twice and I get the speeds advertised. That said I had a very disappointing experience when calling to renew. Firstly the best I could deal I could get is 20% more expensive than what new customers get. So clearly they don’t value customer loyalty. Second, when I asked about getting the new WiFi 7 router which they advertise as part of their 900mbs service, I was told they can’t give me one as they don’t have enough and so aren’t providing them with the 900mbs service. So they an actively false advertising. Finally, their sales people don’t have the required training about their products. They told me a WiFi 7 router would give me no advantage over my current WiFi 6 router. This is simply not true as WiFi 7 provides an additional band which increases coverage range, stability and reduces latency.
Because of the 2 yaers of good coverage I have renewed but I was not impressed by their customer service.

Toob should check customer records before criticising valid complaints

Late on the fourth day of being without a service it was repaired. While I fully accept no internet service is faultless and all are liable to occasionally fail, I cannot accept the difficulties created by Toob by having too few customer care staff, and what seems to be a deliberate policy of cutting callers off to shorten the queue or to dissuade them from trying yet again. Nor can I accept as a loyal customer being financially penalised for that loyalty. I note a new customer will be charged 30% less for the service I’m receiving. I wrote to Toob to ask for a refund for the lack of service (why should ANY service provider be able to do this?) but am yet to get a response.

The response from Toob to my criticism was to deny I’d registered the fault on the 11th July with a ‘ticket’ to their engineers, which was confirmed to me when at the fifth time of trying to speak to a human. She admitted the ‘ticket’ was evident on my account. When asked why it wasn’t acted on she said “I don’t know “. Toob should get their facts right before challenging valid criticism and be honest about what is on record.

Having reviewed your account, the fault was reported to us on 13 July and was fully repaired on 15 July. We're pleased we were able to restore your connection within that quick timeframe.

We have multiple teams working to answer calls and assist customers as quickly as possible. During this period we experienced an unexpected increase in contact volumes, which meant wait times were longer than usual.

We haven't received any communication from you requesting a refund or compensation, so we're unable to comment on the correspondence you mentioned. Based on the fault being resolved so quickly we wouldn't apply compensation, although each case is reviewed against our policies and applicable industry guidelines.

We also understand your comments regarding new customer offers. Promotional pricing is designed to introduce our service to new customers. Please be assured that we value the loyalty of all our customers and regularly review our products and offers.

Excellent service from start to finish. Installation was really tidy and neat and completed quickly at the time requested. Quality of the kit and the internet speed is excellent too. Really pleased. Premium service at a very reasonable price. 10/10.

So far so good,decent speed,little…

So far so good,decent speed,little droppage/time out...used on several devices...evenbwandring round my garden ....no problems good service overall....better service than my last provider and £7 per month cheaper at present,and with a 24 month contract - with x2 rises,will still be £3 per month cheaper....
So am quality service,friendly staff

On this occasion, there was a network issue that affected some customers for around 45 minutes. As soon as the fault was identified, our teams worked to restore service using our backup systems, which helped get customers back online as quickly as possible.

Exceptional Customer Service

As a comparison, I've always rated First Direct as gold standard for customer service and now I have thepleasure of being able to rate another company, Toob Broadband, in the same gold standard category. My contract was up on 13th August, so I rang in early to make sure I would be continuing with Toob for another 2 years. However, I wanted to reduce our broadband speed having no further need for a 900 Mb feed. So I discused it with the Retention Team rep, who was helpfulness personified, and agreed on a reduction to 300 Mb service from the start of my new contract on 13th August. No fuss, no complications, easy conversation and above all I felt valued as a long standing customer. A real example of real, caring and excellent customer service. Thank you toob.

I'd been thinking about switching for a…

I'd been thinking about switching for a while, so I called toob in February to ask about Complete Wi-Fi and getting a static IP. Dale was informative, took the time to answer all my questions, and completed everything over the phone. I'd seen an offer online, which he was happy to match, making the whole process really straightforward.

I'd been with Sky for over 20 years, but even after they tried to keep me, I knew it was time to leave. The price had become extortionate, whereas the home900 package from toob was incredible value for money.

The installation went smoothly too, despite me embarrassingly sleeping through their arrival after finishing a night shift! The engineers were great and got everything sorted without any fuss.

I've had no issues since joining until recently, when I noticed the Wi-Fi signal upstairs wasn't quite right. I contacted support and Jim talked me through a few checks and had everything back up and running in no time, with no disruption.

Six months in and I'm still happy I made the switch.

Poor Service

We've been without internet on five seperate days over the last month. Customer Service haven't been able to help us at all in resolving the issue and we're no clear on what the cause is. We've posted on our local Facebook if people are having similar issues and it seems to be a common issue. We loose internet during the day about 12pm/1pm and its down until midnight. We'll be looking to move providers.

We had a bad experience with BT (EE)…

We had a bad experience with BT (EE) Internet, and we still have 10 months left on our contract. I found Toob Internet, and they have a great deal: 9 months free and then £22 for 900mb/s, and it's working perfectly! We're absolutely happy with what we got, so I just wanted to recommend it to everyone. Don't forget to check your area and make sure you have a Toob signal.
